This passage within context is NOT Jesus condoning death.
In fact, here he is being accused of breaking God's law... He quotes the old testament law to the religious leaders in order to PROVE to them that they have not carried out the laws they are trying to preach.

About Rifqa, if her life is in danger, its not because of Islam but may be ill interpreation of Islam. As far her conversion to present day Christianity, its a joke. The Koran does say that infidel and apostates are to be killed, The bible says that children should be beaten with rods, and stoned to death for disobedience. As far I as can tell, the girls parents seem like fairly sensible and rational people, im not going to assume they are going to murder their own daughter simply because they are muslem. I have read the Koran too, I just told you that it calls for infidels to be killed, that doesn't mean that every muslem is actually going to follow it to the letter any more than every Christians follows old testiment law to the letter. I know very well that honor killings do happen. That doesn't mean I automatically assume every muslem to be a murderer. There is no indication whatsoever that this family is the least bit fanatical or fundamentalist.

i am no muslim. i'm an american teacher who tutored muslim flight students in central florida. some of them had trouble understanding terms in there books. they gave me a Quran. We had many debates about christianity and islam. and, them they asked me over after ramahdan; we exchanged gifts, they said they had business to tend to in California.
a month later i recieved a call from one othem he was frieghtend, i asked if he would returning, he told me thank you for teaching him english

After he was re-arrested in May.. he was put on trial in June for apostasy.. under article 259 of Yemen's criminal law.. Haji's release came seven weeks after he was given a court ultimatum to renounce Christianity and return to Islam... or face EXICUTION as an apostate. Apostasy is a capital offence under the Muslim laws of sharia enforced in Yemen! I CAN GO ON AND ON BUT I DO NOT FEEL THE NEED TO!
