Dall's porpoises are so awesome XD, see them all the time in Prince William Sound, multiple times a day usually. I keep meaning to get a video of them but I always forget to bring a camera XD
these people have no idea what they have done, porpoise is a very rare and protected specie with the sensitivity of nuisance and the speed of the ferry that could crash it, you can still see them near the Ramsey sound, Whales with decreasing in poppulation
there categorised as "least concern", the lowest grading, so not categorised as endangered. They approach boats a lot, like a lot of dolphins and porpoises, i don;t think "these people" did anything.
I sort of got the impression that they chased the boat and then raced along side. Sort of a game for the pod. Same as when porpoises ride in front of the bow of big ships.
clueless - the dall porpoise swims faster than our boat, they come from miles away to see what we are doing, as shown here, then they kick it into high gear and leave us in their dust homer. they are doing exactly what they want to be doing.
well, that depends on who is asking the question. if you are from california, the answer is HELL YES ITS FRICKIN COLD DON'T COME POLAR BEARS WILL EAT YOUR ASS but otherwise (in this part of alaska) it is cool/mild/maritime weather, 50s-70s in summer, 20-24 in winter, with lots and lots of rain.
down here in bc i see a ton
