  • Thank you...finally a clear and concise tutorial!

  • You are truly an excellent teacher! A rare breed indeed!

  • excellent tutorial, thank you!

Do you have the tab available, please, so I can have it in my binder? :)

  • Great tutorial !

    very clear and precise.

    Thank you for the sharing.

  • amazing! thanks a lot!

  • The morons who disliked this lesson have no business touching a guitar. It's not hard to hit pause and repeat sections over again. Not to mention he put tabs on the video. And if that's not enough, the man's offered to email the complete tabulature to your email if desired. Thanks for the lesson buddy. This really helps.

  • great lesson!..thanks man

  • Some folks have all the discipline, focus, determination, perseverance, and to top it all God-given genuine talent and are empathetic enough to teach the newbies ever so patiently, quietly sharing their gift with the rest of us for free and people still complain !~ Nevermind Bro..thanks for all the sounds for sore ears !! God bless you !

  • is that a tacoma PK 30 with coa back and sides?

i got one like that too .... cheers!!!

  • Very nicely done. I was missing some of the nuance. Thank you.

  • Grande "tutorial". Grazie mille mtreed55

  • Very Well Done.. Many Thanks For That !!

  • Nice Job and thanks for the tab too. Everything that was needed in a nut shell!

  • A wonderful note-for-note transcription superimposed on the video - what a great way to learn it! Is there any way the tab could be downloaded separately so I could also practice it from a printed sheet?

  • Hello,

I really like the way you play this song and I would love to learn how to play this song, but why do you go so fast? It is impossible for me to understand the picking pattern and very frustrating...Would you do another tutorial slowly? Me and many of us would really appreciate it!

    Thanks in advance!

  • Can someone please explain the picking pattern!! PLEASE!! Thanks

  • What's a KAY-PO?

  • The first part of the Chorus... Homeward bound, I wish I was homeward bound... part was not explained in the video. Can someone give the chords? Thanks.

  • dude, this is by far the best tutorial out there. Who puts the tab with the video? Nobody, thats who. Props, man. Mad props.

  • Useful tutorial for a learner. Thought there was a "D" chord on "poet and one man band"?

  • excellent lesson. 5*****

  • Wow! Fantastic tutorial format. Very well done.

  • Heh, the run that he explains at 2:58 can also be the opening notes of "Alice's Restaurant" by Arlo Guthrie

  • Great!!

May I ask you to send me a TAB

    for my easy study???

    Thanks in advance.

  • super useful!!

  • What a great tutorial this is! I cannot wait to learn this. It sounds very impressive.

  • Great tutorial, what is your email address, I would like the full set of tabs please

  • Very good tutorial. Thank you soo much for sharing- from Calgary Alberta

  • amazing job, one of the best if not the best tutorial I've ever seen for any song. Keep it up

  • Good tutorial. The tab is helpful. In playing along to the version from Greatest Hits albumn, it sounds like the bass line is fretting the sixth string and alternating the thumb between the sixth string and the fourth string open D. The bass walk up and down tab is very helpful. The quick chord change progression and picking pattern is difficult to master. Your separate cover video is one of the best covers of Homeward Bound on YouTube.

  • Thanx Kindly

  • ohh wow way a grat way of doing a tutorial... a great method of teaching.. and a great voice. i hope u are a music teacher.. SImply great

  • Great work, it sounds really good. I tried learning this a while ago but never got very far, you've inspired me to give it another go.

    Thanks!

  • Man! I want your album. You really have an incredible ear for music. Phew. Purely amazing. So glad I found you. Thanks from my heart.

  • Great tut... sweet voice too. -Thanks!

  • Thanks for your time, great video.

  • thanks very good job

  • Great teaching..I've been trying to learn this song for a while!

  • You should be wired to correct the S&G Songbook.Once again i found lots of things here, that are missing in the book. Continue you good work.

    Cheers from Portugal.

  • Many thanks. A fav tune of mine.

  • I've enjoyed your playing and tutorial videos. Thanks for the offering.

  • What a fantastic tutorial.....thanks !

  • its been a long time since i had a guitar .after seeing this i may get another one thanks very helpful .your a very good teacher

  • great!

  • you're the best teacher. I've got it! many thanks

  • just gotta say, your tutorials are excellent ive watched orther tutorials that cant hold a candle to your instructions ive been playing for a while, and its nice to watch your tutorials cause they seem to be set up for somewhat advanced players.

  • Verry good, can you send some tabs.

    I will appreciate it.

    thanks

  • Excellent! You've nailed the song. Thanks for sharing.

  • i know the intro. I am piecing together two other lessons (mike Herberts and goldhat3), but what I love in yours are the walking bass parts. Could you send me the tab for them. The one that comes off of the E. and the one a few bars later. I would greatly appreciate any help with the walking bass. thanks

  • I'd like to try your mum's tea...lol. Brilliant style.

  • look mate, ur clearly talented but u rush threw the tutorials like ur mums jst served tea nd ur tryin 2 do it as quickly as possible.

  • @NayBoi08 ...settle down mate, I don't know about you but I rather appreciate this guy's pace. Most tutorials are otten times overwrought with way too much explanation which drags out way to long. Besides, this guy's even providing the tabs for you. Also, you can stop or pause when you need to to. That's the beauty of tutorials on youTube. And who would rush for tea anyway. Now bacon and eggs over easy with toast and coffee...now I'll rush for that.

  • @NayBoi08 that's the first thing I noticed. He was rushing homewards...

  • Thanks man i'm getting there, good video!!

  • good idea if you dont actually sing so we can hear the guitar better

  • @labourida The singing helps us know where we're playing what.

  • Great playing!

  • Great Job. Though it is very hard to discern the picking pattern halfway through the first verse (starting with the Aminor). Can you post something so that we can figure it out a little easier? Thanks.

  • Please could you show a close up of your left hand to show what strings you are using for the intro

    Thanks

  • Absolutely Fab.Thanks to you I have now got to grips with "Homeward Bound" but still struggling a bit with "Kathy's Song" picking pattern. So good of you to share your expertise.Thank you sincerely.
