  • ohhhhh god this is perfect

  • Those sheep are chill as fuck.

  • @argonPOS Yes buddy this really looks like.

  • AMAZING SONG!! 良いね

  • WTF

  • This is my absolute favorite album of all time. Incredibly relaxing and mind blowing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else is similar to this? Other KLF stuff does not compare, although I am yet to listen to their "Space album" which might be fairly similar.

  • @Crislips space is actually more ambient if you can believe it. very minimal.

  • @deejayalemus I'm saving that for some time special. But anything else that you can suggest? It doesn't have to be the KLF. I have most of their stuff anyway, most of which is not the same as the Chillout Mix. But I love the whole peaceful ambiance thing like this.

  • @Crislips dude, get ISDN by the Future Sound Of London as fast as you can!

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • You don't know anything about Pink Floyd, do ya? Pink Floyd influenced more bands. They were better musicians and have a great historical meaning. They are one of only few bands who had great commercial success without playing commercial music. There are not so many bands which are better or as good as Pink Floyd....But still it doesn't mean, that this KLF-album is unimportant...

  • Was Bill Drummond in deal?

  • Seriously fooked up on acid listening to this album on a few occasions :D

  • OMFG WHAT A CLASSIC TOOK ME RIGHT BACL TO PINK DOTS AND BLACK DOTS,,,,,AND SHROOMS.

  • @tvilee71 Those dots and them tunes are what warm, fuzzy, bendy memories are made of.... BLISS..!!

  • class...chilled to this many times ;)

  • Amen ... TY!!!!! One of the finest pieces of art ever!!!

  • I think I remember hearing the preacher that was sampled on this track. He would be on the air very late at night and would WAIL like a jazz musician with the Gospel! I remembered he'd use the phrase "runnin' like a fat rat". I wish I could remember his name.

  • Ahhhhhh.... this was HEAVILY sampled for 'Dogs' on the Pink Floyd "Animals Trance Remixes" album. Clears up a hell of a lot of confusion! :-)

  • KLF

  • I can't beleve I never heard of these guys, I love this song.

  • A classic album. I've still got my copy of this. It's got a wee sticker on the front that says "file under Ambient"

    Handsome :))

  • I know I got chillout and space on cd from eBay and amazon uk. They cost me £50 in total for both albums. :~))

  • Wow!

    Who uploaded this from vinyl?

  • I heard about his song from a book called 'How to be idle' by Tom Hodgkinson.

    It sounds great, indeed! :)

  • good shiit! there is even a longer version with elvis presley in it.. it comes from nowhere in the song

  • @dfghzxc You need the album The tune you mean is called "Elvis on the radio, steel guitar in my soul"!

  • @dfghzxc The tune you want is called "Elvis on the radio, steel guitar in my soul"

    It's no7 on the album.

  • please please upload the whole album if you have it I can't find it any more on youtube. thank you v much :0 )

  • @col4022 Dude! You can get it on cd!!

  • Please upload the klf chillout album if you have it, thank you. :0)

  • I used to play this to my daughter when she was a baby.................an alternative lullaby which worked everytime

  • listen to that vinyl crackle - I still only have this on tape - my friend had it on black vinyl - it still sounds fab - way better than digital and I don't know why!!

  • mm far too much chemicals then home and this yes good memories

  • THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS EVER MADE

  • KLF is one of the Best !!! FOREVER!!!

  • Good times, so good music :)

  • 20 years.. ffs. Where the fuck did that go?

  • @CUNTENFUCKER ask me where did i go....

  • this is great

  • Wow!!! Memories!! This clip put me back in that moment!

  • agreed it set the standard,

It defined true post club chillout as a genre rather than a substance detox state.

The style was hotly followed about 6 years later with Sasha and Digweed's Northern Exposure series, pretty much up there as a peer to this.

From thence the "chillout" genres and the "Progressive House" genres were repectively born

if you canb get your copies of any of these now get them , they are all rare and will be lost forever

  • Yes this track is fantastic. Takes me back to all those feelings. Amazing how music can do that. This track is a time machine to a hologram of a memory of a beautiful time in my life. Everything was and is so connected....... I know you feel it at 3.00 minutes....and then again at 3.41 and 4.52 ahhhhhh so clean at 6.16

    Beautiful.

  • Good, but they did beter suff than this under the name of the THE ORB.

  • Anyone know where I can get a good quality download of this album from? Please message me if you know. Many thanks :)

  • This Album was our anthem of 1990, after we had been to all raves and our ears couldn't take music anymore we'd put on KLF chillout and play it over and over again.

Without doubt he greatest post party album ever made.

Its sad i sold my vinyl version on Ebay some years back, i originally bought KLF chillout along with KLF space (both vinyl) from Austin records in Middlesbrough brand new for £5 each, those were the days when music was exciting.

  • oh boy, im there now.......................

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!

  • Always under the radar,, this album, simply came into it all,, and many was the early hours lost to the smoky madness of it all,,,, Jesus, so far ahead of its time, brave and innovative, future vision,,,respect.

  • was/is a fine piece of tunage fer sure...

  • 1 of my 10 records 4 the lonely island. it´s the mother of all chill out albums.

  • that was nice

    the train very "summer afternoony"

    thanks

  • 17yo Jack Incidental lives on forever...

  • "do something to help yourself"

  • cant believe this is 20 years old its scary.

  • This song is called "Wichita Lineman Was a Song I Once Heard"

  • evad520 its also called 'chill out' though. i have a compilation called 'ambient nights 2 ' or something, and its called 'chill out' on that. also 'wichita linesman is a song i once heard' is about a minute shorter than this and takes longer before the beats kick in. don't get me wrong its almost the same song but they are different.

  • Comment removed

  • @octagon79 Oh yeah the beat is different. Now I have to go through my rarity disc and see if I have this.

  • best chill out album in the world, respect to the guys who burned a million pounds after signing their record contract.....

  • KLF last train to trancentral on the chart show itv was what got me going then i was hooked i gotta admit it sounds dated now haHA if u aint heard altern8 or Acen i recomend u have a listen! Acen defo rocks!!!! P.S Johnny.L-Sawtooth!!!!!

  • yeah johnny acen trip 2 the moon part 2 is one of the best tracks ever!

  • Comment removed

  • The opening chords on this tune rip me to shreds ... just the right sound - right between the shoulder blades ... tingle stuff....I could listen to that sample for days on end

  • KLF the godfathers of modern dance music

  • I think this track is called "the last train to transcentral pure trance mix???

Amazing toon really gets your emotions stirring, early acid house dayz, agreed way ahead of its time, pity more stuff like this wasnt made and we cant go back in time to do it all again! Peace out :D

  • This track i think predates last train to transcentral, well radio version anyway.

  • Lol, `Pink Floyd never touched this level of creativity`...if you say so then it must be true

  • Its the first "Chill out "Album all time !!!

    Its amazing!!!!

  • Wow. KLF are cool, but there's no reason to be down on Floyd. They were a great band. Is there any reason why you can't like both? Expand your minds...

  • @lulzfactor59 No man, You must choose, either Pink Floyd or KLF. And when you choose you must listen to the same group until death. :)

  • I say mix the two for the dance-floor fuck this either or, I say both and more.

  • what songs are these specifically? brilliant album

  • dug it then..like it tonite...must bee that french cigarette i smoked ten minutes ago.....what?? im not a druggie its just that its rainin....and and dont tell mi mum......now piss off..

  • Thanks for uploading this rare shit , so we all can hear it.

  • This music was YEARS ahead of its time.

    Absolutely sublime and timeless.

  • have this, love this... but love seeing it in a open forum where everyone can hear it. feels like im on acid saying that but its true

  • Classic vinyl scratches ...at 1:16.

  • OMG...........Twenty years since i heard this........did i really do all those substances?

  • yes and so did ii :D lol it was good back in the day lol

  • @ZAPBASSIST

Yes you did and so did I.

    Good times :D

  • @ZAPBASSIST Don't worry, so did I and i'm not dead or in a nuthouse.

  • never ever grow tired of this...ski sunday, van halen's eruption , Elvis, genius!!

  • Ever since I heard of KLF some 15yrs. ago in Manchester, I still think they still have the same impact and forever more...

    Can't kill the "eternal"

  • whats name of track is in 2:33 seconds

  • Really nice music from KLF..

  • pink floyd would of been proud to do this.

  • I don't think Floyd would be proud.

Yes, The KLF were influential. And it's interessting to see you saying this.

"Rockmusiklexikon Europa" by Christian Graf and Burghard Rausch says - translated from german - "[...]The Album Chill Out had only a single 50-minutes-track. It sounded like a missed Pink Floyd session[...]"

This album may by important, but I think comparing it to Floyd is a bit exaggerated.

  • keith floyd's music sucks....

  • Agreed. It shouldn't be compared to Pink Floyd.

This album is absolutely more important than anything Pink Floyd have produced, who are entirely over-rated.

    JAMS

  • this one in my collection that is pure gold and still gives me the goose bumps ... a pure classic by KLF

  • Pure gold in my collection too... the essential chillout album after those crazy wkds!!

  • I still fall asleep to this album. one of my all time favourite dropping off listens. absolute classic.

  • great memories in the ghetto

  • I used to fall asleep to this album. This was the part when I always woke up for a few seconds :D

  • i like klf...15 years ago ive got to draw some adverts for a telecomunication agency......got to buy some spliff and

this album...hahha the colours went crazy..Elvis on the radio.......Klf FOREVER

  • Classic album: so many good memories :)

  • awesome klf nuff said

  • Comment removed

  • the fantastic 90's maybe because i was 15 yrs younger but i think the world, the music, the people even the drugs were much better than today's fake crap

    "chillout" what a flashback..

  • This track currently sits and always will sit in my top 3 tracks, in fact, i'd want this playing at my funeral as i went into the oven.

  • uhh flashback...

  • probably the best piece of ambient music ever made...can anyone think of one better?

  • Gone-David Holmes....try that

  • love this, but i think Plateau by the Orb shades it

  • Recorded live at Trancentral !!! and really the BEST file under ambient ! twenty years after and always my favorite cd...

  • Wasnt transcentral in wandsworth? between vauxhall and clapham? battersea maybe?

  • Trancentral was the name of the KLF's recording studio in Stockwell. In fact it was the Jimmy Cauty's squat ! You can found more information about these facts with wikipedia or in one of 1991's Melody Maker .

  • It was in Stockwell

  • I tell you what about these early rave pioneers - they certainly knew how to create an ATMOSPHERE. Very simple music, nothing to it really...but it hits the emotional part of your brain like nothing else. It's not just this early 90's stuff, some of the anthemic Ibiza stuff up till the late 90's was made of the same emotional stuff. I have to say the rave scene knocks the socks off 60's psychedelia. I say WE WON!

  • Spot on there mate. And what you said about the 90's.

  • I got the most uncontrollable rush up my back as soon as the melody started...this tune is BURNED in my mind in the same place as the drugs were, lol! Amazing how such a simple auditory cue can actually bring the physical sensation of ecstasy back. Wow.

  • thankyou SO much for making me smile with his on a cruddy day!

  • Go down to Atlantic City ... come back fat as a rat.

  • This is a great cd to put on endless repeat as you sleep...

  • Wow...this brings back some crazy times trippin on pink floyd's....lol!

  • My favourite album of all!

  • This is the best KLF album !!

  • it is now almost 10 years since i lost my mind in this wonderful sound ;-)

  • THE KLF is untouchable.

  • I have to agree, this is the best of the KLF. It is haunting and familiar, even if you are hearing it for the first time.

  • trailblaizers...

  • when i was 14 i first heard 'dark side of the moon' and thought my search for the perfect music was over, then chill out came along...absolutely sublime, i feel sorry for people who have not heard it.

  • i thought that quest was over for me probably a million times, but something better always comes up, because music changes and so do we. there's no such thing as a perfect music, at least in a timeless form :)

  • this album is timeless masterpiece it sounds as brilliant now as when I brought it on vinyl in 1990 and I now have the album on my mp3 player the vinyl album is worth a fortune now

  • this is my favourite album ever.a total listening experiance

  • I remember this as THE album to 'come down' to. First heard it backpacking in OZ 1990. It was always on back home after clubbing. Happy Days!! :)

  • THIS WAS THE SOUND THAT PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER FOR ME...such an ecclectic time for music.

The dj"s took us on a real journey
