  • newspapers are for boomers

boomers are old and dying off

theres no reason to keep newspapers around for a few elderly people.

Also, elderly boomers have a hard time reading small print and should get a computer and put the screen at 800x600 resolution, or just set internet explorer to 200% and read the news there.

  • @sashamalki "newspapers are for boomers...dying off"

Damn right. A half hour ago, i just got a text message from my part time job, which is a sunday morning paper route. Small husband and wife operation, the wife told me they are closed! I called and offered my condolences.

I made good money there, the year-end tips were always nice. But i knew this day would come for a long time now. And sure enough, most of our subscribers were elderly.

  • Of course the only real problem I see with these closings are that a lot of people will lose jobs with is sad.

  • The Newspaper's do have a political slant to them Ive notice. Plus a lot of "news"papers endorse candidates which clouds they're objectivity in my view. So maybe the papers do need to fade away and let internet news take over. At least with Internet news you get all sides of an argument, more objectivity, and easier access to more sources.

  • That's what happens when you stop reporting news and start giving a left-wing political slant to stories. They are getting what they DESERVE!!!

Remember: Most of the people who voted for MLK the 2nd...don't read newpapers.

  • Wow, you really think that because Obama (whom I did not vote for) really is why the economy is shot? I am pretty sure that it has to do with NAFTA, bushtards.....wow...intelligence at it's finest!

  • you cant blame the economy on bush, Japans economy is 3 times worse than ours, and there was no "deregulation" there. I havent even noticed a "bad economy". unemployment was worse 25 years ago. Theres no bread lines.

Things are great for me and my neighbors!

  • It's not just the other industries that are keeling over, I guess. Now it looks like the newspaper companies are in trouble. Is it because more people are reading news online? Or is that one of the reasons? Less people may be purchasing newspapers, too. Sad..

  • The paper should go after every politician and dig up dirt.

  • Good idea, I think we all need to rise up against the shills...NOW!
