  • Khalistan zindabad

  • Jodgarh I agree totally these bitches are pissing me off khalistan needs to happen

  • BOLE SO NIHAAL

  • @motomad speak english.

  • @OnceUponAtimeInLeb it used to be a natural pond of a small size, but upon discovering it's sacred properties by the gurus of Sikhism the extended it and through a length of time made it into what it is today.

Yes, it is purified, its cleansed every couple of years, water taken out, cleaned, put in etc.

ALSO, there are at least 40 fish in there filtering the water, eating all the waste. Theyve been in there for quite some time, decades, centuries even probably.

  • NAMASTE !...I GOING BACK !

  • question: I guess the water is considered holy, but can anyone confirm whether this is an artificial small lake or natural one, and whether the water is purified or not?

I am asking because I saw some people who consider the Ganges as holy and use it for religious ceremonials and purification rituals, alongside floating garbage and such.

In the video, we can't see any garbage or visible signs of pollution, but it's the invisible pollution that may be harmful ( water bacterias etc )...

  • totally incredible....its most beautiful place on earth. Waheguruji ka khalsa Waheguruji ki fateh.

  • its nothing to be proud of and to call urself indian were punjabi first! anpother thing why the fuck are anti khalistani's gettin al proud over the fact that indian army bombarded akal takht sahib and kiled many innoccent people inside on the birthday of the harmandir sahib complex, my bros ur fucked up, im almost ashamed cause of u to call myself a punjabi its not somthin to be proud of that over 25,000 gave their lifes for one bitch who's probably burnin in hell right now

  • read about Macaulays children who used by the governer of british india...when he left he created the british congress parrty that has links with its british ancestors.....macauley wanted to create a new caste in indian that looked indian but followed britain...so the killing on sikhs wasnt ordered by hindus but by the congress party that has no respect for either hindu, sikh, buddist or jain but instead protects islam, christians and western ideology the same ideology that enslaved india .

  • @jodhgarhWhy are u sitting in canada talking shit, why don't u go to pakistan and afghanistan and see what is happening to sikhs there. Many afghan sikhs come to india asking for citizenship despite the problems in racist india.I am not saying india has no problems..I have noticed most of the anti indian sikhs are form canada...I don't know why...but u should also see cities like bombay and delhi and calcutta and see the sikhs over there. There is even a gurduwara in calcutta belive it or not.

  • @subroto81 So their not Christians

  • @subroto81 we have gurdawaras everywere!

  • thanx 4 beautifull video and kirtan

  • In fact, there is a seperate section hidden from public vew exclusively for women.

You cannot bathe together - or express any intimacy in public (looks like what you are suggesting).

If you dont like it, tough cookies.

  • Look, you asked the question. It's vital that you asked that question before you actually did it!

Although it was a ridiculously stupid question (to us it seems) you got your answer. And the answer is a big NO unless you're asking for trouble. So save it...

  • what are u a stupid australian white wanker u people worship a guy who got crucifed then u worship the cross he died on ? oh makes lot of sense our fiath isnt made on some rubbish or false crap or mythology, its nota falsefaith either like hinduism

  • Beautiful footage, thank you!

  • beutiful video .....

  • I've been to India 3 times & always gone to the Golden Temple. It makes me believe my faith a lot more.

    And, I'm only 14!

    & KhmerSerey1 ?

    Have some shame!

    3:09 looks beautiful.

    Gosh, I miss India :(

  • lol its punjab dont say india

  • don't even try to go skinny dipping there. Its a religious place, and it would be disrespect to the extreme.

  • no a sikh would not be offended, go night, whenever you wish, but not butt naked thanks ;)

  • muthafuckin u got sum guts 2 say thiz shit on thiz page i swear 2 god if i ever meet u i will rip ur fuckin head off-fuckin disgusting peice of cambodian shit get da fuck of this page

  • We don't use appropriate name for highest seat of Sikh authority. Golden Temple reflects the glitter in which we believe in not the religion.

In fact we dont have one the closest could be Darbar Sahib, but not Harimandir name got popular when they used to have idols within Darbar Sahib.

Religion/Sikhism is for simplicity, charity, kindness, universal brotherhood etc

  • most people go there just to view the architectural beauty of the place....but only a few intelligent ones actually experience the true beauty of sikhism in the divine gurbani. Akal Sahai !!!!

  • Beautiful I hope I will one day go there. I want to do seva as much as I can!

  • Beautiful!

  • waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh. what a wonderful video u have made. thank you very much for this video, it takes you right there and the sense of holiness just increases with the sounds and images as they should be without a voice over, once again thank you very much. waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh.

  • Thank you, to you and all those with nice words for the video. It is very encoraging.

    Motonomad

  • I dont't beleive in sticking to words or practices till the time it does not translate to promoting individuals agenda. I prefer Har-Mandir sahib than Golden Temple because thats wat our Gurus built, the aim was never to build a Golden Temple (else I am sure it would have been called Maya Mandir ) but a place of the Akal Purakh (Hari), I am sure Golden Temple or Swarn madir are the incorrect terms for HarMandir Sahib.

  • the golden temple (sri harimandir sahib ji) looks absolutletly beautifull!!! its like heaven on earth!!

  • Yes Waqqasharon.. It doesnt matter who or where you are from.. anyone can go there.

  • I'm a Pakistani muslim and I want to go visit. Am I allowed?

  • definitely.. but juz respect the basic rules like no cigarettes or tobacco related items on urself and cover ur head.

  • waqqasharon: I am not sure if you know this but the foundation stone of Har Mendir sahib was laid by Sai Mian Mir (muslim Sufi) so dont ask this question again in your life to anybody, espcially Sikhs, we take offence to these questions.

  • Who hath attained unto Thy presence hath attained unto the presence of Love. Great, therefore, is the blessedness of him who hath humbled himself before Thy sovereignty, and hath been honoured with meeting Thee, and hath attained the good pleasure of Thy will, and circled around Thee, and stood before Thy throne. Waheguru

  • The most peacefull and beautyfull place i've seen in my life. Sikh devotees are fabulous, very helpfull, I will never forget their devotion to the Shrine and its visitors. You can feel there the Realm of love. Waheguru

  • Beautiful Video. Wonderful place, i was there last year in Oct. Going again in 2009 probably same time. Also visit Tehran Taran on the outskirts of Amritsar, it is also very beautiful gurdwara

  • guru nanak´s aim was never to establish another religion...his message was that you don´t need a religion to believe in GOD...besides he renounced all the rituals and other religious practises (in other words, having a beard or uncut hair does not make you a believer, it is to be found in your heart, words and action) I am a damn proud sikh even i dnt have beard and uncut hair...if you really want get the fundamentals of sikhism, look at writings of Guru Nanakji...

  • Who says that Guru Nankaji's writings encompass all the teachings of sikhism? His teachigns alone do not define Sikh. You cannot pick/choose certain guru's and describe their teachings as entire 'sikhism'. Sikhism is defined as teachings of all guru's combined together and what is written in a 'textual' format in the holy book of Guru Granth Sahib. If you do not want to keep hair that's fine, but do not cling to a certain guru's teachings only and ignore the rest of gurus words.

  • everyone has their own believes, and people should respect dat, and instead of arguing yeh lets enjoy video. Nice video and beautiful memories, I visited da Golden Temple with my husband,he`s Punjabi and im Spanish. This is a very beautiful place to Visit, there were many Tourists there 2

  • Shame on you people fighting and using dirty language on a sacred video.

  • what's the point of sikhism without hair and a turban. ppl with turbans look 100% better than without them!

  • please for god sake stop arguing

just enjoy the beautiful golden temple

    urg!

  • wow :)

  • Comment removed

  • i have a question...i like the religion sikhism but i dont know why??!!...must a sikh wear long hairs and a turban??..this are just the little two things that i dont like in the sikhism...but its very interesting...i like sikhism!!:)

  • lol.....i like muslims ...but i dont like the bombings :)

  • Sikhs keep their because it is a gift from God. Basically to sum it up, if you are going to cut your hair, why don't you remove any other part of your body? As for the turban, it not only covers the hair, but is also an identity.

  • Thank you for the comment 777wordliner. I respect everyone's oppinions I, nevertheless would like to keep the argument pacific, prosperous and amicable.

Threats is not what you find at the temple and you should think if they really fit here.

Thank you for your comment anyway.

    Motonomad

  • @777worldliner your a fag.

  • @KhalistaniKing SO EVERYBODY SEEMS TO BE CONVERTING TO SIKHISM, INCLUDING MUSLIMS.DO YOU HAVE A COUNTRY YET <MISTER?How many Sikh countries are there, and how many Christian & Muslim countries there?YOU GUYS SPEAK LIKE IDIOTS.

  • Sikh Conservation Architects and Built Environment Historians are horrified at the manner in which some of the restoration and upgrading work has been carried out. Conservation is about retaining and using existing material (some over 500 years old) and not in painting enamel paints over murals and cladding the Jassa Ramgharhia Towers brick work (See photos of Golden temple on British Museum Websites in 1905) with gaudy marble.

  • Even Shaheeda wala gurudwara in Amritsar is also good !!

  • wow u can just feel the peace

  • That was my aim, let those that can't be there a bit of its wonderfull atmospheare.

Thanks for the comment and encouragement

  • Thank u fo the beautiful vid

  • @motonomad wat deep consideration of people like me who havent been able to visit there for more then ten years now. i am very thankfull for ur interest of people like me.

  • absolutely beautiful

  • sikhism is a religion of peace and prosperity for all, we dont need any khalistani loosers or pakistan to tell what we want. India is our home and always will be.

  • u should understand that khalistani was the ones who protect and fight for golden temple and the sikhs

  • and because of them the indian army came into the golden temple .. so they ( khalistani) are loosers

  • indian army went in the temple cus they wanted to attack on singhs n get a name ... but who can stay alive after messing with singhs .... so where is mrs.gandhi now ?

  • Thank you for the comment davindergill7. I respect everyone's oppinions I'm not familiar with the politics surounding the temple although I'm aware of its recent history. I would like to keep the argument pacific, prosperous and amicable Celebrating violence or death is not what I would like to encourage For what I experienced at the temple neither do pilgrims and volunteers there.

It will be great to have a new, more positive and conciliatory post from you.

    Thank you nevertheless

  • what the fuck ur theory is fucked up u should know man that indra and others planeed attack 1year and 6months beofre the attack and bhindrawale and crew just found out about it cause of u know political connections and spyes, its true my grandfather was a politican just before it happened everythin on media portrayin bhindra is false but the khalsitanis arent some terrorist it was just forged by media trust me man i know, and i dont think its somethin to be proud of what they did to us in 84.

  • and you should understand that these self proclaimed protectors are not required and they can go back to drive taxi's in Canada.

You think we are not capable of talking care of our selfs...we can demand and get what we want. thanks but NO THANKS for ur help.

  • God!! Cant we live in a world without racism, without stereotypes? Its people like you that fuck this world up, you stupid fuck Czech mutherfucker

  • Your welcome motonomad. I just don't understand this...Sikh's/punjabi who left punjab are fighting for a seperate country in punjab. I am a sikh from India. I don;t live there and so I leave their destiny to them. Allthough I am an openion spending my my life in India that that is our Home and always will be. People get that...if you are not comfortable with that...well god bless you.

  • You really have to understand what happened in 1984, and the politics sorrounding it from "dirty India", how Sikhs were targeted, etc. to understand the sentiments of the Khalistan-supporters. I cannot blame them for wanting their own country. Most of it is not terrorism with testosterone-filled egos, it's an emotional (and understandable) reaction to the past. God Bless.

  • thats for writting meaningfully, i respect that. All khalistani supporters i debated with have strange arguments like Indian army wanted to get a name attacking golden temple, i am sorry but only pakistani's would buy that logic.

  • Moreover, what happened is in the past, they pick up arms because blue star happened, now where is practicality? bringing violence back to hurt punjabs and india's prosperity so some people cna fly a new flag. thats complete bullshit. More over learn to respect, you have no right to call a country "dirty" just because you have an openion.

  • I said what I had to say. That the people who masterminded the 1984 attacks - Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler - were rewarded by higher government seats from the Gandhi family is something to think about. The mere fact that thousands of Sikhs have been persecuted for India's death, yet none for 1984 is a huge argument for Khalistanis. That is politics and you have to go beyond these labels of 'terrorist' to understand those sentiments.

  • Correction: I meant Indira's death, not India's death!

Certainly violence is not practical. The vast majority of Khalistani supporters are peaceful - it started out as a peaceful campaign and continues as one. Much more peaceful than the Indian government I would say.

  • That I used 'dirty India' does not mean India is dirty, but that it allowed itself to get soiled by failing to protect its minorities. And despite how much I may love India, I cannot play blind.

The majority of Khalistan supporters are regular families who were persecuted and vowed never to come back until a new state is carved out. But sadly you won't find any of those real survivors, grandma's and grandad's, on Youtube.

  • very true I understand their sentiment, they have the right to be angry and under our law, how unfair, slow or biased it may be, we have a working judicial country. Demanding a new country is not the answer to everything. Punjabi's form punjab govt, we are as free as anyone. no more no less. Separation is just an easy excuse for not fighting for JUSTICE.

  • That is debatable! An excuse for justice...I would contest that, because there was never a lack of effort there. Jagdish Tytler was convicted so many times, yet always let free. Sajjan Kumar was never even convicted, despite the efforts. Inside politics, as it always is. There was even an effort recently to make a movie about 1984, but the Tytler government refused its release in India, to hide the events of the police and government during 1984. Justice failed, but effort never has.

  • But anyways, I don't want to spark a political discussion on a page that is shared by the Golden Temple. Because we come to this page to rid ourselves from our biases, and bathe in the sanctity of humanity!

  • you are very educated

  • This is a really nice video and the Harminder Sahib represents how Sikhism should be, it is a shame some are becoming tainted by the greed, division and intolerance of the outside world.
