  • great truck, crap song

  • @joshuabailey1000

    Thank you

  • @Roadtrain72

    the truck carries railyway sleepers

  • @pmora61 rail line not sleepers

  • i hate the song btw that truck is awesome

  • AMerica restricts the trains because of the weight, single trailers with dual axles only weigh a max gross weight of 80,000 lbs, they do not want heavy trucks on the interstate to wear and tear the inferstucture down faster then designed, thats why

  • music sauce?

  • this is a truck owned by slingshot haulage in katherine.

  • @625acert is the set up parked up or is it being used somwhere else?or it single use only

  • It must have an enormous engine

  • awesome

  • u.s.a. have semi road trains but, their only in mishigan i'm not the best speller any ways cuz there bidges r so fucking strong that they can hold over 100,000 pounds so ya

  • 100000 POUNDS well thats like what 50 tons shit mate my triple when its empty weighs around that when you load a triple to the max jus a standard triple you can have up to around 120-140 ton which is around 240-280 thousand pound

  • I can so you can not directly say that it has in Australia years ago, when the first white settlers there were, as they have for long distances several trailers always connected, and this is remained so until today, but only in bestimmtel share, in the east you'll see these mega-trucks can not .. Hope you could help a little with it!

  • why in america do not have it this road train truck,,,

    how come

  • I can so you can not directly say that it has in Australia years ago, when the first white settlers there were, as they have for long distances several trailers always connected, and this is remained so until today, but only in bestimmtel share, in the east you'll see these mega-trucks can not .. • ah, and these specialized truck they used to make railway line from Darwin to Adelaide

  • Roads are not designed for vehicles that long. cause eventually it would have to leave interstate, side roads DEFINATELY wouldnt be able to handle a vehicle that long

  • @bestamerica Because in the U.S., there are plenty of real trains to haul way bigger loads than this.

  • @bestamerica because driver in America are asses, the regular cars. big rigs have enough trouble dealing with 2 trailers on small roads with lots of people, ive never been to Australia but im sure they have a slightly smaller population of drivers around road trail areas

  • @bestamerica Because the roads aren't big enough for that shit...

  • @bestamerica because were these Road trains are. there is no room for trains becasue of the outback and stuff. I would love to try and drive on of these.

  • jake69715,

    '

    okay and thank explain,,,

in america have some very wide roads / streets,,,

also one trucker driver with 3 big boxtrailers in salt lake city area

  • @bestamerica you don't see this in America due to traffic mainly. there are more people in the state of Texas than there are in the whole country of Australia. our road systems are much more crowded with larger numbers of people, cars and trucks so there simply isnt room. also our "more advanced" road system doesnt allow these kinds of truck due to the cement medians and railings. these trucks run in more remote and rural areas.

  • origionalwinja,

    '

    okay thank explain,,,

    what city,,,

no need a state of texas,,,

    i rather what city,,,

in america have some big freeways / highways and can do that with 3 to 6 trailers of one truck

  • @bestamerica ...we have no vast outback. Imagine heavy Sydney traffic all the way to Perth. Why would you need roadtrains then?

  • Rodakgreen,

    '

    okay thank explain,,,

in america have some few big roads and need road train truck,,,

here america dont need it outback anyway

  • baiano pede a lud pra avisar minha mae q nos vamos amanha valeu!!

  • is it just in australia they have road trains

  • Good stuff mate, always been fascinated by the Autralian Road Train since the article on National Geographic years ago...

  • @Weldaz1 try this book .A HISTORY OF ROADTRAINS IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY.. written by JOHN MADDOCK... kangaroo press (1988)

  • @Weldaz1 thats ROAD TRAINS sorry

  • Oh Shit... if your Truck needs new Wheels you need two Months zu change and two Millionen Dollars to buy some new.

  • whats the song in the video??

  • Kylie Minoque - Giving You Up

    Cheers!

  • bludy hell .. wonder how much the drivers of these beast would get paid lol

  • Its a Big Kwooper....lol. Now do he haul with that trailer?

  • I remember reading recently these trailers were specifically designed to carry lengths of steel for a particular application. The contractor designed them himself so the lengths could overlap and yet the trailers could still turn.He achieved what he wanted but needs the extra axles for the weight.

  • Railway track, each rail weighs over a tonne a piece.

  • The prime mover is an 8x4, except this has only one steer axle, but has a lazy axle in front of the drive tandem.

There were two trailers, each containing six axles (the three in the middle of each trailer were self-steering) and a tri-axle dolly with a two foot long drawbar.

Each truck was loaded with 110 tonnes of rail iron. The lengths of rail were 27m long, hence the overlapping.

    The overall length was 53m.

Used to haul lengths of rail iron for Alice to Darwin rail project.

  • Eso si ke esta largo, aca en mexico no se permite llevar mas de 2 remolques...

    xD...

  • very good this truck :p

  • The prime mover is a Kenworth T604 tri-drive with three trailers behind it!

  • Not a tri-drive old mate. Bogie drive with a lift up lazy axle. I live in Alice Springs and remember these trucks running through town.

  • i think it is two trailers behind the trator

  • I corresponded with Roadtrain72 - it's combined as:

    Tractor - 6ax semi - 3ax dolly - 6ax semi.

I actually think I read about it in a truck magazine once, now I think about it...

  • I can't figure out exactly how many units this road train is made of, and where the couplings are.

    Can anyone make a "walkthrough"?

  • @Griffencph TRISTAR TRAILERS built them in the N.T

  • @roadtrain5910 theres a video of the these trailers through tristar trailers web site

  • I can't figure out exactly how many units this road train is made of, and where the couplings are.

    Can anyone make a "walkthrough"?

  • @Griffencph try tristar trailers they built them

  • If you like that u'd like the 6 trailer ones on the mines where some egomanic has put an actual engine in trailer 4 I think? controlled from the cab LOL

  • it was a ten trailer. 600hp in the mover, 400hp in the fourth carriage, side tipping ore truck. read about it in truck and bus magazine.

  • No egomaniac stuff happening there. Called a body-and-six or a Powertrain, they do indeed have an engine (600hp Cummins ISX) under the fourth trailer. Also has a 9 speed Allison auto AND a tri-drive in the trailer. 95m long with a loaded weight of 450 tonnes.

  • you dont back up, you just go straight, i have a cdl, its tough with one, let alone 9-10-whatever

  • mate they come alot bigger than those in the Northen Territory and in the Mines they are alot bigger and tuffer that truck in the video was specially built for the railway contract but now its finished they have sold all the stuff

  • Can't imange backing up.
