Wow. No offense, but this isn't a very complicated process, and this doesn't help. You need a stereo mix driver, which most people, including me, don't have. It's not compatible with my computer, and I've tried it before. (I have Windows 7 Ultimate)

at trick if you are gonna use the sound on ipod etc. put headphones into your computer and turn the volume to max. that way you dont need to have that loud volume on you ipod etc and you save battery

Does every computer have that Realtek Stereo Remix thing?

I'm using a Vista and I have SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC and my options are Microphone, Rear Mic, and Line In. Even when I right clicked to put 'show disabled devices' the Realtek Stero is not there. Do I have to download some driver or something?

ok can u help me cuz my computer speakers worked just fine then i got a virus on my computer and had 2 reformat it now my speakers still power on like normal and their plugged in the right place but my computer dosent detect them at all and i power them on and no sound comes out any one have a clue why? oh and i have windows XP

Well, if they use drivers you should probably try reinstalling them or installing them. When you have them plugged in, does sound come out of your computer, or just no sound at all. If no sound at all, try going into volume control. double-click on the icon on taskbar and make sure nothing is muted. If the speakers came with a CD or installation disc, reinstall them. if there is a volume control on the speakers make sure its up. If this doesn't work, tell me.

Drivers are info that lets a computer run something like a webcam, or maybe speakers or something. A lot of things come with an installation CD which contain the drivers. When you pop in the CD and the device, the computer asks to look for the drivers, then you tell it to look in the CD, and it installs them so the device is ready to use. Try finding out what

kind of speakers they are and go to their website or something looking for drivers. If you have any further questions message me.
