  • Certainly better than mine. You rock at stop motion animation!

  • I'm a big fan of claynimation, and frame by frame animation. This is a great work.

  • wow Dante smoke many juanita

  • @nakebos666 No, just natural imagination

  • impressive work! thank you.

  • I can't imagine how long and how much effort had it took to make this.

  • OH MY GAWD! THIS IS AWESOME! I LOVE THE DETAILS OF YOUR WORK!!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!

  • if it would be HD i would love it

  • Beautiful work. Awesome talent. One of the most skillful and imaginative claymations I've ever seen. Very spooky and unsettling. A plasti-cine nightmare! Haven't read Dante in many years, but this film has inspired me to go back to the text.

  • This is a riveting interpretation. You brought out the ritualistic aspects of the text really well. Dante should be horrifying and disturbingly seductive at the same time, which you executed beautifully - and the music is maddening. Can't wait to see more of your work!!

  • soundtrack is AMAZING. wonderful

  • Excellent work...I used to make these in the '70's...your artistry is awesome

  • Those are amazing, expressive faces and figures. How large are your sculpts?

  • Beautiful, moving .. thank you.

  • Great work!! Congrats n_n

  • Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Though I didn't like so much the choice of the music, but I understand it.

  • Brilliant. HD, por favor!

  • This is awsome

  • man!!! this is awesome... the sculpt is great. and of course the plot...

  • very good

  • you keep a clay figure of the devil in your shoebox :D

  • The video quality ruins it. It's still amazing, but with a good camera this would be zo incredible.

  • Wonderful and beautiful animation!

  • Damm thats fucking awesome! It’s beautiful[: You have talent

  • a real strong claymation!

  • Im gunna wait for the book to come out.

  • Wow, this is seriously amazing. Really great job on it.

  • awesome video! great interpretation of the inferno! how long did it take to finish this??

  • best art I have seen in the mellinium :)

  • NICE :) Said it all

  • WHAT SONG IS THAT?

  • As already stated above in the details with the video, it's by Dhol Drum Foundation. I no longer remember which track. The whole album is good though -- Big Drum: Small World.

  • holy shit. you rock that plasticine girl! i suppose my comment should be more deep and literarily (that is SO not a word) well-grounded, but your just going to have to deal with my obnoxious hooting.

  • aw shucks. thanks!

  • @alexgwaller Excellent work, madame.

  • What song is that?

  • In the Inferno, mangled corpses litter the subterranean grounds and the cacophonous bellows of fierce beasts pierce the enveloping darkness. In this tenebrous realm, the painful cries and lamentations of these pitiful shades are never ending. Crazed and frenzied behemoths prowl across this world of eternal dread while the screeches of the harpies ring from above. Intestines, dismembered limbs and organs lie strewn across the ground while creatures gorge themselves on such putrid flesh and waste.

  • The gluttons voraciously feast upon their food gorging and devouring foul waste and are driven to excess. Like ravenous beasts they are covered in vulgar filth and are unable to satisfy their cravings. The desires of these foul and insatiable individuals can never be satisfied as they form an innumerable tide of putrid flesh amidst rotting skin and torn corpses. The avaricious and prodigal are whipped and prodded along like a herd of cattle for their petty and senseless lives.

  • The hopelessness of all of Hell's denizens and their eternal agony and turmoil. O! The wretched anguish that these shades must undergo for their prodigality, avarice, lust, wrath and other such sins. For example, the lascivious or the lustful constantly swirl with their mangled bodies colliding with other contorted and disfigured bodies and objects. Their miserable and dissonant cries and shrieks are drowned by the howling and raging winds of the mighty tempest or storm that swirls incessantly.

  • It ends at 4:21.

  • one word, amazing

  • man this is art.

i love the divine comedy but you know what is the diference between your clay animation and the anime movie of dante???

is that the anime version doesnt have any piece of respect to dante alighieri.

but your clay animation is art,is beautiful ,love it.

    please end it

(Inferno III 1-9 )

  • That was so well done. And with claymation. Wow.

  • It is simply lovely.

  • good video

  • Animation is excellent but the music ruins it completely. Sets entirely the wrong mood for the piece unfortunately.

  • In life, one may experience moments of sheer brillliance; this exquisite piece is one such moment, even if it could not be completed.

  • Absolutely incredible! The way you didn't smooth the sculpting marks made from molding the clay from frame to frame made everything absolutely writhe.

  • I read Inferno, but unfortunately a lot of the stuff was a bit over my head and I found myself getting lost, so I couldn't necessarily pick out many parts from the book in the animation except traveling through the woods into hell. However, from an animators stand point, albeit not all that great of an animator, I thought you captured the mood with the lighting and the way the characters were sculpted perfectly. I can't wait to see the rest of it. Its such a large project, I would be overwhelmed

  • This great being. the filmed been gooder than filmer. how gratious. This in need day mine been made. Thanksing you good people filmer! :)

  • Quite simply amazing

  • Really amazing stuff!

  • One HELL of a movie!!! Great work!!

  • awesome

  • perfection!

  • That is amazing!

  • this is really great

  • i would love to see more, i loved it its so dark but amazing work.. congrats

  • Beautiful! Please finish it as soon as you get the resources, so inspiring!

  • Beautiful! Please finish it as soon as you get the resources, so inspiring!

  • Really good!

  • I could watch this execellent piece of work over and over again!! Accurately depicted and the music just simply fits in with the theme! Anxiously waiting for the sequal!!

  • impressing sculptures

  • wow this is really good! i do some clay animation too, but not as good. maybe you could look at my account and give me a few pointers?

  • wow, this is so cool

i saw this a long time ago and it didn't make sense to me, but i just got through reading the inferno and now i know exactly where they are the entire time.

  • good concept.

  • It is very good, I too do claymation (account - MAclay0)

  • really impresive, i like it very much

  • I dub this the best thing ever created.

  • Wow this is genuinely amazing..the colors were awesome and the continuous movement never made it boring..i make stop motion myself, some of its on my channel, but my stuff can't hold a candle to this!

  • Excellent! Best claymation i have seen this year. Goes to show there is genuine artistic talent tapping into the vein of inspiration out there. I wish hollywood and the industry would take note. They throw obscene amounts of money into making soulless crap while genuine artistic vision goes unnoticed. If they spent a fraction of the money that goes on stuff like Afflecks & Julia Roberts arsehole movies ect, we could have something special with genuine artistic and creative merit instead.

  • @ManuelNoblejdify get a life, you are one of those assholes who post fake movie sites that contain 500 viruses, and this isnt even a proper movie you dumbfuck.

  • I agree, the most acurate film of Dante I have ever seen. You are a master with plasticine. Critically, it's difficult to read the text on occasion, but a brilliant rendition. Keep it up, looking forward to the sequel!!!!

  • thanks! one of these days i'll post a hi-def version of it...

  • @alexgwaller per favore!

  • Excellent!

  • Alighieri would be proud.

  • You have to complete this piece. This is the most accurate film to date. I am amazed. Are you going to complete this film I think we would all like to know

  • one day i hope i will, when there's time and space for a studio and money to develop the 16mm film! thanks for the encouragement!

  • mind blowing.

  • wow - this is incredible

  • i bet this video took almost a year to be made

  • This is brilliant. I would love to see it in higher quality though, had a bit of trouble reading some of the text. But absoloutly brilliant work.

  • Awesome work!

  • amazing

  • I would like to see it when it's finished!

  • rumsfeild?

  • Well if u get work in the world of $ & cents, hope your creative spirit is not knocked out of u in the world of conformity of the all mighty $. Keep up the creative perspective of expressing more beauty like this piece!

  • Amazing! how long it takes do this?

  • impressive

  • If it was more violent I'd say it reminded me of Jan Svankmajer

  • epic

  • This is awesome. Whoever Carlo is, I watched your claymation and it is terrible. Shut the hell up.

  • Not to burst your bubble or anything, but no it isn't, Carlo. Not even close. And you have a lousy way of introducing your work. I bet I am the only one who even bothered to click on your channel.

  • @digitalshark nope, i also did and i gotta say they're not half as great as he thinks -.-

compared to this video they are boring as shit.

  • best claymation ever

  • cool vid

  • what music is this?

  • Read the description of the videos you watch as well and you will find out. It is Dhol Drum Foundation.

  • fantastic!!!

  • A fine work of art sir! What 16mm camera did you use for this?

  • That was pretty crazy! That must have taken a long time! Keep at it!

  • This is just amazing :) thanks for poating :)

  • this is absolutely amazing!

  • Keep at it. Some powerful images.

  • this is a great video u should do more. keep up the good work

  • hey man, this is very well done! it gives us a pretty lucid idea on how the inferno looks like. all this time ive only seen people just putting up images, but not animated. a definite 5/5 man. again good job.

  • The best procrastination I've done all day. Now I actually feel like writing my essay on Inferno- thank you ^.^

  • wow. that was absolutely incredible. i to this kind of animation but your sculpting was just amazing. this is a work of art. its so hard to create sculptures whilst animating... HOW LONG did this take you!? wow

  • Wow, that was amazing. I'm majoring in Italian an I'm currently taking a class on the Inferno, this def brought it to life. Thanks!

  • This is amazing. Hypnotizing too. funny because I only read up to this far of Dante's Inferno. I plan to finish reading it sometime of course. I hope you finish!! I think this is great so far or by itself even.

  • When are you going to bring back Satan into your life and finish this? Its a massive work of talent, more worth then your actual job~

  • omigod, I can't wait to buy his books... I was especially saving up for Divine Comedy but this makes me wanna buy Inferno too and the rest of his works.

  • Comedy is a three part epic poem, Inferno is the first part, it would probably be cheaper to by the Comedy as a whole

  • Put the poem at the bottom or in more info

  • Um, it's an EPIC, so it's pretty darn long! ;) And no translation does it justice anyway!

  • For sure, shame.

  • how many worls are they... about or with dante aligheri... beside the Divine Comedy

  • Dante's the poet AND the central character. Re-inventor of the vernacular Italian language, making the Tuscan tongue the poetic language of his day . . . The Comedy was written in the prime of his writing life, his major work, but you can wikipedia him for all that. I recommend W.S. Merwin's translation of Purgatory -- so beautiful. But he only translated Purg, not Inf or Paradiso. Still, Purgatory's the best!

  • thx dude... verry kind and honest of you...

  • @alexgwaller The Florentine humanist, poet and political theorist Dante Alighieri wrote a few political treatises on the separation of temporal powers and the Papacy which he deemed a morally corrupt, decadent and prodigal institution. Dante Alighieri was fervently against the temporal ambitions of the Papacy and desired to see a division between the temporal/secular powers of Europe and the Papacy in which the Papacy would solely concern itself with ecclesiastical/religious affairs.

  • Fantastic Work, finish it!

  • amazing

  • But you spent like no time on the last 3 circles though...

  • That is absolutely amazing

  • I can see you don't waste your free time. Nice work!

  • wowowza! amazing! but that was a lot of clay, how much did that set you back??

  • a good choice of soundtrack also. what is the name? thank you.

  • its called Drum Reel. its by Dhol Foundation

  • truly amazing!

  • you have to finish this! it is so amazing. i have always wondered why there hasn't been a film version.

  • there wasn't any because no one can portrait inferno that beautifully and accurate like Dante alieghieri

  • You were inspired by Will Vinton! Took some of his darker creations to the next level. I love it!

  • Wow! That was really awesome! I cant wait to see the rest!

  • that was..... truly amazing mate... fuck

  • Damn, son.

  • Well, thank you! But so you know, I'm a gal filmmaker!

  • My bad. Damn, girl!

  • Simply amazing. Bravissimo!
