If your on mac, its easier to press command+shift+g, sends you to a folder finder and type in etc and hosts files are there

@ryanlumapas If you are on 4.3.5 im sorry but I cannot help you. There is not and will never be an untethered jailbreak for 4.3.5. I suggest you upgrade to ios 5 because there will be an untethered jailbreak out soon for that firmware

For the moment I thing 4.3.3 is the best one as it is the last firmware which is untethered.

Go to start menu>accessories> right click notepad and run as administrator.

In the notepad open a file and browse to windows system32 ... etc hosts (remember to allow all files instead of text files on the bottom right)

Paste the writing and save

@ToxicZGames So basically, what I did was I went into my Computer files, did everything he showed and when I got to "hosts" , I right clicked and went to properties. I then clicked on "Security" on the menu bar, and made sure that "Users" had full permissions and abilities. So click on the "Users" and then "edit"... you should be able to select all of the empty boxes and check them. That's what I did! :) I hope this helps.

@Enicedakid I had the same problem, what you need to do is right click the file, go down to properties. once on there click security and it'll come up with a list of accounts that have permissions to change the files, under that list there is a button that says "to change permissions click edit" and there will be an edit button next to it with an administrators logo. click on that then click on your windows account, select it so your account has permission to edit all files and that's it :)
