Epic game for its time.The FATHER of all RTS .Addictive and if i remember correcly ,only 4 disks=less than 4mb game for Amiga.The games now are 9gb and boring, not fun at all. :(

As much as I loved Dune 2, I felt its predecessor was much better as it had a very engaging storyline and was huge. Although hard to compare side by side really as they are so much different one to another.

I just watched a random battle which turned out to be mission 2 which started at 11:00 and ended at 42:30 and yet the information at the end had it at lasting 26 minutes! What? You don't need to attack the enemy in mission 2 and it should only take about 7 minutes to complete. When attacking a base you should target the HQ first as when it is destroyed they can't build anything. That wasn't a very impressive performance due to him not doing so.

it may of looked better but some how the Amiga version would of controlled alot better with a keyboard and mouse :o). The PC version looked the best!

It looked better, but gameplay on a gamepad was just so cumbersome. I would have gladly traded in one of my testicles for proper keyboard+mouse control.

Once I played my first RTS game on a PC I could never play another console RTS game again.

Imo, as I'm a quality geek, I don't think anyone should watch these movies on YT because of the quality, need to stream, slow seeking etc... people should download them instead imo... but not many seem to care about quality it seems.

I remember going around one of my mates houses and seeing I believe it was c&c at the time (he had a PC, I would always try and convince him to get an Amiga) and was desperate to find out if a game like it came out on the Amiga, this lead to one of my fav games on the Amiga, Dune2, I completed it with every house and the ordos where by far the hardest to win the game on, I did try and replay this game not too long ago but without the dragable box to select all units i just counld'nt get into it

In one of the earlier recordings, the player/poster here commented that he/she had an Youtube irectors'account which allows for just about unlimited video times. Nice, eh :)

BTW, Ive watched all the recordings from no 001 as entertainment on my 3rd monitor but was, skipping some parts.

I completed the game only once as Ordos long time ago. Its deffinitively the hardest. They have the worst palace and Deviator is tricky to use. Last mission was a close call to me too.

Correction, the Amiga version DID have ingame music, but only consisted of people humming, like a group of people in church, sort of. But this was toggled off in this movie as the recorder rather played it with just sound effect on.
