@greatwareagle Design still reflects personality as different designers may have a different approach even when the desired result is the same. To me, a useful way of defining art and design would place design as a subsection of art in which constraints are added - the properties of a desired function - in order to guide the creative process in a very specific direction, toward a practical result.

Art is anything (any creation or performance) that reflects the personality of its creator.
Design does not necessarily reflect personality, but may exist only to reach a desired function or effect.
