Actually, the original SHO had a 3.0L V6 220 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission (offered from 1989-1995)

They offered an automatic version with a 3.2L V6 which made 220 hp as well, from 1993-1995

The V8 SHO was offered from 1996-99 automatic only, and had several problems as well.

Still, some of fords designs leave a lot to be desired, at least in my opinion. If someone else likes them ok, but i never saw the point in a "High performance" taurus, i've always found them to be rather ugly.

that's not the point, the looks--in fact, the sleeper element only adds to the fun!! But you don't buy a SHO to look at; you buy a SHO to DRIVE

And Ford's designs do leave a lot to be desired--they make one good car like every 10 years!

Some say the PT Cruiser probably could have been better with RWD. You know, to make it a proper 1920s or 1930s throwback. Still, it's a fun car for what it is. Pagani is severely underrated. That is a very good supercar company that... most just lovingly underrate. That Zonda R is absolutely killer! That concept Taurus looks like some of Acura's designers designed it. While I love Mercedes-Benz, that GL320 BlueTec SUV is alright at best. For new car: BMW for daily driving, Solstice for weekends.
