Yes, it was a shockingly inept decision by the referee. It is a shame that the Brazilian ladies, who are so talented, have this tendency to resort to diving and other forms of cheating, which are so typical of the men's game. Still, they got their comeuppance in the final against the well-drilled and efficient Germans.

Australia played so well in that game and we are all proud of our girls. It seems that the referees are all for Brazil because there were some incidents in that match that would have change it like the penalty should have been outside of the box and we should have had a penalty up the other end. It's just frustrating how these women (and men) from Brazil are so naturally gifted and resort to diving to get their way. The reaction from Christiane was apalling and disgraceful to the game.

Abysmal call by the ref. Yes, the USA was outclassed, and yes, Brazil deserved to win, but Boxx did NOT deserve to be sent off. Cristiana (sp?) got the arm out against her, and then dove as well. The ref should be fined, and Cristiana should be suspended.
