In September 2004, Acclaim Entertainment filed for bankruptcy, registering over $100 million in debt. This meant that the franchises Acclaim had rights to were up for grabs. The Extreme-G franchise was purchased by Throwback Entertainment in July 2006].Throwback has issued word that it will bring its newly acquired franchises to new levels on the next-generation platforms, indicating a strong possibility that the Extreme-G franchise may see the light of day on a next gen console - WIKIPEDIA
@moonlightgodess25 this is all trance... some of it sounds like it could be psytrance if it just had more depth to it and more effects and cuts on the main leads
this game was KICKIN!!! holy shit did games in the 90s captivate my imagination, wtf happened? looks like the world of video games went hollywood, i dont expect to see anything this cool again,
yeah its nuts when games like this were an integral part of your childhood growing up. I still think the N64/playstation generation had the best gaming experience! Sod online play, lan parties... 4 player mariokart, goldeneye and winner stays on tekken 3 = pinnacle of gaming!!!
just played the game right now. finished the championship. all the races. i hate when you get caught in crossfire and then get left behind. but the levels and vechiles in this day and age are so cute. time to play majora's mask again !
Sweeeeeeeeeet mate, I recently played extreme g too and I started majora's mask too (gave up already tho) it's the only zelda game in my possesion that I haven't completed yet, and I have lots of zelda games :P
This game rocks. I have an XBOX 360, PS3 and Wii and we still use the Nintendo 64 more than any other system for playing Extreme G. The folks who engineered the Trance for this game did genius work. I ripped the rom off the cartridge and I still listen to the songs from the cartridge on my I POD now and have been for years. I think there was something missing from Extreme G III that the 64 versions made pantheon.
this song is fuckin amazing- hell, everything from the first exzeme-g game rocks. This song is so epic- this game is probably what singed me over to this genre of music YEARS later.
I loved this game. I think my favorite track was the space level 3 one-the level with the forest and the UFOs. Crazy music on that one. Bitchin' music here, although I think the game had a bit more bass. Wonder why that's missing...
@Gexilla You're right, Extreme G was underrated. However I think that was because the second and third versions were terrible. The first is among my favorite racing games to this day.
i have to agree with the pair of you. i still play the game to the present day, so amazing it is. a friend of mine decided that the sequals are somehow better, so i beat him to death with an N64 controller XD
it's truly an amazing game. took the monotony out of racers, alongside all the tedious crap. you could ready and on the track about 20 seconds after flipping the on switch.
This was the first game I got with the N64. My younger pro has mad skillz at racing games so he handed my ass to me every time. But still awsome fun. Still play the thing... aaaaand my bro STILL beats me. Lol he was so intense, we went through like four controllers with broken "Z" buttons. He would cave it in because he would hit the gas so hard. ROFL XD
Search "KH Insider MP3" with Google, click the link that says "Free Video Game OST", select the letter 'E', then find "Extreme-G Official Remixes and Original Tracks" in that list. =) I hope this helps. ;)
It was also so hard to beat like impossible I had to use gameshark lol

Alot of what I do in my own music has affiliation to these great sounds of the golden era of computer gaming.
Not like now.. All orchestrated music.

mate majora's mask is the hardest one i have ever played. i got stuck so many times....im not going to lie i had to use a guide to complete it.
im not sure what really makes it so difficult though. lack of clues. locations to complex? i dont know.
extreme g is great game, only thing i hate is when u get wrecked with weapons and the leaders just piss off and u cant catch them again.
atm im only playing pokemon stadium, mortal kombat 4 and world F1 grand prix 1998 or whatever its called.
