  • i hope that some one brakes your arm stupid

  • this year is the werst ive seen for starrling i have a bunch around my house every morning and i dont even live on a farm

  • 2:01 Did I see that bird's head fly off?????

  • Never give Starlings a break...Damn puns!!

  • why you no more accurate? :(

  • About the same as an American at a McDonalds, food first. only kidding..

  • äää des is doch ned normal??? also kann man das vergleichen. Hey du hast dir den Arm gebrochen. Jaund, ich hab hunger XD nice aiming

  • @jjm0580 Thought the moral of the story was to get a bigger caliber ._.

  • man dude, i enjoy watchign you take out shit with 1 hit kill shots, and i know thats not gunna be the case everytime and shit like this will happen, but i can guarantee you the bird felt that and the comment from jellyneck100 is a pretty good theory and more likely true, birds have nerves, they feel shit just because they dont show it doesnt meen ther not suffering, just meens ther tough as nails, dont show this shit anymore

  • the moral of the story is shoot too kill

  • Screw my arm CheeseBurgers Rock!

  • Don't worry mate, I've seen them fly away once hit perfectly only to drop out of the sky. Starlings are tough birds. Keep up the good work.

To the morons who "dislike" this go away, do not watch it then and get back to your knitting?

  • If you are a good sniper why dont you do a 360 quickscope hmm

  • Most hunters know more about animals before shooting their first game, then a PETA member in his whole life.

Hunting is not just "killing" an animal, its a intense study of wildlife.

  • u need to find some new hobby dude ur going to hell

  • @binyam73 It's not a hobby you moron. He's getting rid of unwanted birds in the area that have been overpopulated.

  • The final kill was melodramatic. I could almost hear the starling screaming "WHY!?" as it looked upwards.

  • Birds have high metabolic rate, have to eat almost constantly. Broken wing or not, the bird is hard-wired to look for food or it will surely die of starvation.

  • tough starling...

  • YES squirrels!

  • Hopeful, one shot one kill....

  • knew it was his last meal ;)

  • lol the birds like fuck off im eating xD

  • CAN I TRY TO SHOOT YOUR LEG AND SEE IF YOU GOT PAIN?

  • @MrATLACATL I think you can, but I'm pretty sure Mr. EdgunUSA is going to shoot back, and he's probably a better shot than you.

  • whats so fun of killing birds and seals?

  • You should shoot its beak off

  • Adrenaline and shock. When i played football, there are times when you feel no pain during the game! but after the pain hits.

  • Most probably in shock.

  • @littlestworkshop

The bird was so shocked that it had to finish it's dinner.

  • @TehSpecialHam Shock is a medical state, the actions of an animal or human are unpredictable in this state. Adrenalin and low BP might mean it did not feel pain at first (been there myself) and as it had no way to know what has just happened it carried on with what it was doing at first.

  • if it didnt fly away then it has a broken wing and OF COUSE IT CAN FEEL THE PAIN!!!! and you are STUPID if you let it suffer!!!!!!! ........ just sayin

  • @FavoriteMartinFan just because the wing is broken des not mean the bird can feel it he may be a dumb bird satying there after the pellet went right over his back then not having a fast reaction to the wing shot i think he could not feel it ive shot birds in the wing before and they keep sitting in the tree untill icame close they tried to fly and they could not

  • Not sure if I like the idea of hunting anything but it is an interestng video none the less

  • i was shooting pheasnts this morning and missed to times narowly mising its head one cliped a couple of feathers, it still didnt move. i hit it in the chest 2 times until it tried to fly then i took him for a head shot.

  • Poor thing took three shots...

  • That's really interesting, starling seem not to give a f#*k about wounds, compared to them, hooded crows are totally aware of theyr situation after being shot.

  • Most dramatic bird death i have ever seen. Reminds me of a cheesy actor XD

  • next shoot goes not to the birds or sweet squirrel or rabbits ... NO ... ... maybe ... you can feel a broken arm ? or leg ? OR HEAD !?! STOP THIS SHIT MAN ! we can do that with you ! do you find that better ? No or ? ,,, search another hobby bro .. is better 4 you .. peace

  • @DreamingStar1000 You sound like you're from PETA. Stfu they are pests.

  • @Shotxofxvalor Menschen wie DU sind eine Pest ! ... schönen Tag noch .. affe

  • @DreamingStar1000 The video is in English on a mostly English speaking site; So speak English asshole. And if you can't speak proper English then don't bother commenting.

  • I have worked with birds for my entire life. I grew up with a father you trained and flew falcons to hunt wild prey. This has given me the opportunity to see bird behavior in a way very few people do. It has taught me that birds have an interesting way of dealing with pain. They are completely stoic. Meaning they do not show any pain. In this video you say, " I wonder if this bird even feels it has a broken wing". I think it does. They hide that feeling to not expose themselves to predation.

  • 2 things to understand. Birds go into shock VERY easily causing low blood pressure and shutdown of nervous system, and secondly simple creatures experience the world very differently to us: the bird would have no concept of what happened, and since it saw little, it perceived little. if you went up to it and did the second shot it would have gone mental. In that case, the only moral action would have been to kill it immediately with the 2nd shot, but i realize you were trying to do that anyway.

  • MAYBE IT FELT THE SHOT BUT IT WANTED TO HAVE HIZ LAST MEAL LOL THUMS UP IF U THINK TRUE

  • Comment removed

  • @MrTheeverythingguy thumbs down for massive imbecile

  • @MrTheeverythingguy Go back to grammar school.

  • sometimes when your body sustains a serious injury, the brain blocks the pain long enough for you to escape the situation.

  • It might be that their hollow bones not having any marrow in them dont have nerves inside too. Im no exper on anatomy of course! Also your shott could just have ripped his nervous tissue in the wing.

  • Maybe the bird is aware of the problem but wanted to recover from the shock of the shot and focused on other things. Then when he came back to the problem is tried to find a temporary solution (Hiding under a tree).

Just a guess, I'm no bird person.

  • Maybe depends on where you hit it. Maybe if you completely damages the nerves they lose all the feelings in the wings...

But on the other hand, if you all of a sudden, no longer feel your left wing, why would you continue eating?

  • doesn't matter had dinner?

  • Random unlikely theory: The first shot cut across his back, possibly severing some nerve connections.

  • The anatomy of the species is the only way to find an answer. If there were more detailed videos documenting this type of event with other species a conclusive answer could be given. My hypothesis; Hollow bones = no feeling.

  • those birds arnt even pest they come to get some worm...

  • Squirrel

  • Terminator.

  • odd

  • Thats the shock, wich kills the pain.

Humans have that too (never heard from people, noticing few hours after a fight, that they are wounded?)

  • last supper :)

  • thats crule

  • @24681012791 That's misspelled.

    Now go hug a tree.

  • @24681012791 and your retarded

  • born in hall

  • where can i apply for your job >_<

  • The moral of this story is to shoot more starlings.

  • I think the bird is in shock. People tend to do strange things when injured too, not understanding what they do...

  • @thenameless615 good point

  • Isn't it obvious? He is wearing a vest... 😒

  • Isn't it obvious? He is wearing a vets. 😒

  • FUNNY!!!

  • last supper

  • I've always wondered this myself I've shot thousand of birds and slot of pidgeons I shoot in the wing with my gamo they just chill like nothing happened at all and the wing is mangled

  • Thanks. Your video is surprising. When a hawk is pinning one of my pigeons down and it is struggling I will have a little less sympathy for the pain the pigeon is or is not feeling as it dies. This video is better than a thumbs up.

  • I know that animals have far more shock resistance than humans. I've seen too many wounded animals, including disabled birds, attempt escape, even beating a broken limb/wing further. Compare this to even the adrenaline-empowered athlete on the playing field, after a major sprain or impact injury.

I'm positive the bird felt it, when he flinched, but as someone else mentioned, as shock did set in, so did his endorphines to resist the pain. Seems instant, but consider their metabolism.

  • my guess would be that it went into shock. similar to how when a person gets a leg torn off by a shark ususally they just feel a tug, not vivid pain until they come out of shock.

  • @MrWingnuts104

I was thinking shock too, but the way it went back to eating makes me think otherwise, an animal or human in shock will be dazed.

  • Nah, that bird just had his priorities right. He knows he was gonna die so he had to eat his last tasty meal!.

Good shot as always man. Killed a crow ruining my garbage can the other day with a crossman 500x phantom. It was a clean kill thanks to the shot placements I learned from you.

  • @EdgunUSA you are correct the bird isnt aware of the pain..the pain receptors in the brain is like a two lane road, one lane takes care of figuring out that something isnt quite right (IE a broken wing), the other one takes care of the awareness, what scientists have found is that all animals but us (humans) are missing this "awareness lane" therefore your little pest might not have known anything was wrong until he went to try and fly, but even when he knew it wasnt working he was not in pain

  • @theguy1717 Avian Feel pain. Ask any vet or keeper that has worked with them.

  • @MrMcavity that scientific discovery to which i am referring is fairly recent, like i said the bird knows something is wrong, but does not perceive pain as we humans do...for example there is a type of blindness in humans that works the same way, the light hits their cones and rods, however the brain cannot perceive the images but if you were to throw a ball at them most would be able to catch it (hope that analogy helped)....simply put they cannot perceive pain as we know it

  • @theguy1717 More likely a case of shock. It has happened to me many times - I've inadvertently cut myself somewhere, gone about whatever I was doing and then noticed the blood. After a few minutes, the pain and throbbing set in.

I recall a case where someone fell onto their nail gun at a building site - the man failed to realise that he had several very large nails lodged in his head. There was a similar case involving a knife - the victim needed to be told of his injury.

  • @scrfce123 i dont know if there is any scientific evidence to support that they experience shock as we do.....all i know is the article i read suggests (with very compelling evidence) that they dont comprehend or experience pain like we do, therefore they do not suffer as we previously thought. and they only reason our bodies go into shock is because we are suffering through something (ie pain)...so if they dont feel it, then im not sure shock is the answer

  • @scrfce123 i know of one too an 85 year old lady was stabbed in the back with a steak knife full penetration to the handle and she was found just walking around with no clue that she had been stabbed oh and another one a guy got shot in the head with a .22 went for days thinking something fell out of a tree until he found the tiny bump under his skin got xrays and found out it was a bullet

  • Hey edgun, im planning to buy my third rifle to hunt birds and such so I'd like to know what guns you recommend within the 150-250 dollar range. With a scope

  • Idiot

  • Where do yo get your pellet guns

  • Maybe the bird knew the end was near so it thought it may as well enjoy its last meal? I think i've seen videos (at least in movies) of condemned people doing similar things.

  • i have allways wondered if a pellet rifle could kill a wild hog maby you could take a trip to a place that has alot of hogs and kill one with a headshot and maby clean it and cook some like you did with the rabbit

  • @flairbartender89 They are pests stupid. They are noisy dirty mean birds.

  • I like airguns and shooting and stuff but killing squirrels? I dunno man its just disgusting...

  • @flairbartender89 lol wtf, why are you chirping me? I didn't film this video, I only commented on it, and like months ago. Take a chill pill and go back to eating your chicken and beef and destroy the world. What EdgunUSA is doing here is pest control, to protect crops, so mindless tards like you can eat. You know how many cats get shot so you can eat free run chicken/eggs? Learn a bit about the world before you chirp like you know whats going on....

  • and overpopulation. Using air rifles to control pests also teaches the importance of shot placement. Now to all of us who agree with Ted and like his videos, I think how we respond to people like mr.joedraco, should steer away from the vulgar profanity that makes us all look uneducated and undesirable. A well thought out and measured response shows class and maturity, we shouldnt crawl into the cesspool with guys like that. Anyway, just a thought.

  • Great video and information. I am an avid hunter as well as a professional guide and outfitter. I started shooting air rifles after reading an article about the benefits of shooting "springers" in the off season to improve and maintain marksmanship. I have a moderate collection of airguns and use them to train shooters young and old in such areas as basic shooting fundamentals and safety. With that said, I believe that we are responsible to control pest populations that would cause disease.

  • i really like your insights to shooting and shooting techniques. whats great about it, it can be applies to other guns, scopes, exc. as well.

  • .22 works well I can sit in one sot and fire with out worrying about drop. Pellets are to iffy

  • Here in Greece we call these birds ψαρόνια (psaronia).

I know you call them starlings. We believe that they are very tough birds.

We hunt them with shotguns and use No 7 (diam. 2,5 mm.) shots. They get easily hurted, but they don't die!

  • Me and my brother where hunting starlings and we shot one right in the stomach and i guess it didnt go all the way through because the bird just ruffled its feathers and stayed on the branch xD we shot it again and yet missed.. It stayed, me and my brother were laughing so hard we didnt take the time to pump the gun and shoot again... then the bird flew away ._.

  • wtf is ur prob dude U broke the birds wing and u killed it? fkin redneck

  • @wadde70 i mean how is that bird a pest

  • @wadde70 dont like it dont watch it, that simple

  • @Pkarchpray16 I m just saying THAT U GUYS LIKE KILLING ANIMALS THAT DIDNT DO ANY HARM?

  • @wadde70 Why do you look it up? What, are you a vegetarian? Do you eat meat? These birds are probably aggressive and/or destroying crops, likes hes said in other vids of his. What do you think happens to 1000s animals (everyday), just so hypocrites like you can eat? Would you like people to put down poison on crops and w/e, that you, we, are going to eat? OR kill them with the least amount of pain, and without putting more cancer-causing chemicals on shit were gonna eat, lol =).

  • @AgentsCinema Just had to jump in. I don't eat passerine birds or rodents.

  • @wadde70 Oh, I know that is long, lol, but I just wanted to add that these things probably carry all kinds of diseases, so I wouldnt call that, "harmless" if you ask me. =)

  • Fatty

  • @MrNEVEX the only reason his aim was bad was cuz of the wind if you actually knew something bout hunting and guns you would know that the wind moves the pellet so you could just SHUT THE FUCK UP and leave him alone like seriously if u don't like ppl shooting birds than don't watch vids bout it so just go to hell and if there wasn't ppl like him or me in the world the population of these birds will increase like crazy so get a life

  • What pellets do you recommend for pest eradication and hunting? Or are the Crosman hollow point and wadcutters that i find everywhere good enough?

  • @Jafarmarar Hollowpoint pellets work well (so long as they are accurate). Wadcutters are for target shooting. They are designed to punch out a clean hole in paper. They are not a good hunting pellet. I usually use domed pellets because they are the most accurate. They don't hit quite as hard as hollowpoints, but they still hit hard.

  • theese videos are so awesome how old where u again?? 37 ok nevermind what i just said

  • Nice observation

  • @TheZekygtc ya callate.

  • this is realy very strange occurrence! I`ve broken starling`s wings many times and Im sure it CAN feel it

  • seems wrong i mean why is it a pest?

  • @FriedChickenHD not native to the americas. competes with and kills indigenous birds. populates very quickly. takes more from the ecosystem than they give (damage), therefore it falls into the pest category.

  • if possible could u do some more hunting videos i thoroughly enjoy them lol

  • Dude.. If I pay for a Whopper extra everything and I break my leg.. I'm sure as hell gonna eat that burger... :P

  • maybe that bird was russian?

  • well, you do know that bird's bones are hollow or have heaps of air pockets. Maybe that may have contrubited to the immunity of pain. Just sayin

  • Make(try) a video with a coladeral killing two birds with one shot

  • Death to all hippies

  • WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR EDGUN FROM? (PLEASE DIRCT ME TO LINKS FOR WEBSITES) ALSO, DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET VERY POWERFUL CO2 PISTOLS?

    -THANKS

  • YAAYYYYY!!!! its been so long since ya had a squirrel vid!!

  • Awesome videos man, keep them up!

  • WTF there is an angry birds doll ad on the right O_O

  • He probably though SHIT edguns out again, oh well might as well get one final meal.... Goodbye cruel world !!!

  • that was wierd

  • ted when are you going to make your squirrel hunting video

  • I dont understand why people coment all immiturely, its one bird. Plus im sure you like all your corn products, so hes actually doing a favor.

  • Im suppose to be writing this paper for finals and ive spent all my time watching ur videos....thanks!

  • @BlueProject LOL - my videos will be there when the semester is over. Get writing!! :)

  • @EdgunUSA Please make more starling killing videos lol.

  • @EdgunUSA you aim is worst than my grandmother . you need scope to hit the target ? One more thing why you hit birds ? one day i will do the same but instead of a bird will be you taking my shots MOTHER FUCKER BETCH BIRD KILLER YOU FUCKING FAGGOT STICK THE RIFLE IN yoUR ASS AS PULL THe TRIGER BITCH FAGGOT

  • @MrNEVEX u mad bro

  • @SpringFigsXD89 man i just think this is totaly anti human that guy is killing birds to teach and train his aim skill . do you think that it's just to the bird ?

  • @MrNEVEX Ive grown up hunting and around shooting sports. but slowly I've stopped hunting as much. i do more sport/target shooting with air rifles and high powered rifles. i support edgunusa bc he only kills pests and has a ton of informative info in his vids. i wouldn't mind shooting starlings if i saw other bird populations decline. i hardly hunt now but i still do hunt. i only takes shots that i have confidence in. but even then there are too many variables. too each their own tho. i dntjudge

  • Hey ted, I have tried to find JSB exacts in my arrea for about 1 month and cant seem to find them. Do you have any other pellets that you prefer that are good shooting and do a good deal of damage on small pest like squirrels, rabbits, starlings, etc. Please reply and I love the vids.

  • @PestController96 Beeman Kodiak and Beeman FTS pellets are usually very accurate. Crosman Premiers also shoot well for a lot of shooters.

  • @PestController96 that why i order the pellets online because here in Guatemala there are only Crosmans

  • hey ted do you know how long until the semi kit will be available? and is the .25 in the states and when will you do review a lot i know thanks GOD BLESS.

  • Love all your vids, keep up the good work.

  • birds are dumb

  • Can't wait for squirrel hunting!!!!!

  • i literally go on youtube every single day to see if you have a new hunting video!!!

  • @joedraco if there weren't people like this in the world imagine how many birds and deer and other animals. take a minute and think why don't you

  • @joedraco lol, crazy people say crazy things.

  • @joedraco go kill yourelf....go on... you know you want to!

  • @joedraco To anyone with delusions of importance like this guy: Youtube sought me out for Partnership. They seem to think my channel is a positive contribution to their site. Save your energy. Accept that the world can not be forced into your mold.

The author of this post and all such antagonistic posts are blocked. Take a shot at them if you would like, but they will not be able to respond. :) ted.

  • @joedraco screw off.

  • @joedraco shut up hatter

  • @joedraco Dude, if there is no such thing as pest control... lol.. hug a rat, kiss a pigeon and be happy. Good luck joedraco.

Ted, I love ur channel and videos. U inspire me to create my channel and create videos here in Brazil. Tks (sorry for my poor english).

  • @joedraco Hey how about you GTFO this is legal. No one has been able to get him off youtube, What makes you think you are any better?

Ohm btw, your posting on HIS site with HIS viewers, your making yourself look like an idiot.

  • @joedraco blah

  • @joedraco haha goodluck your idiot. It's amazing see how pettalovers are human hatters. ASSHOLE!

  • @joedraco Another thing your brainless asshole: it's permited by LAW to hunt Starlings in USA! IDIOT!

  • @joedraco hey what about shooting retarded fucks like yourself it will be much more fun ill guarantee it!

  • @joedraco you have nothing to report him about plus i looked at your account nice history hahaha thats gross

  • @joedraco Get over yourself you ignorant fool. People have been hunting and killing for 1000's of years. It's in every humans nature. Dont be a idiot. And dont hide like a wimp from your human nature. Birds are not much of a species. You kill one there is like 10 more to take its place. And dont say killing animals is wrong because I am pretty sure you have eaten meat before.

  • @joedraco you are moron and you are the pest yourself, if i see you i would put couple of bullets in your fucking head!!! Die bitch!!!

  • @nostdim Some people use inappropriate language to get their point across. Also, ill bet you too, like joedraco, have eaten flesh before. Correct?

  • @joedraco

Uhh, have fun trying to get his channel removed.

And i'll bet you have eaten flesh before.

  • incredible vid mate ! thank you for the showing this !!

  • maybe food is more valuable to birds than it is to us

if you broke your arm and in the process dropped your wallet would you not pick it up?

i know a guy that had a fall and broke his leg, his first thought wasnt to scream for help but was to drag himself about 20 yrds across a warehouse floor to where he knew there was spilt oil so he could make a claim for compensation.

made me laugh when i got told about it lol

  • @themott123 lol - and it just made me laugh when I read it. That is a story I am destined to repeat. :)

  • Why do i think that he is shooting from a tree?

  • I wish all hunters and sport shooters were this consistently conscientious.

  • I still can't believe all the anti-gun,

anti-hunting vegan pussies who watch hunting and pest control videos and then talk shit on the comments. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T WATCH IT!!!!

  • i know what happened the bird was RUSSIAN and i say was because he suicide after his vodka was finish .
