ex plosive . we need dark in sf4

  • @Porkloafking It sounds like es-sphloshiv. I agree it would have been hella fun to have him in SSF4.

  • omg he died like half of the way why continue?

  • ....cause its badass....

  • Awesome Docktrine Dark for life xD :)

  • Yeah, Doctrine Dark rules!

  • Yep!

    that`s amazing!

  • Is that definitely an unblockable setup?

  • no its an ambiguous cross up. Depending on when you kara cancel into the explosive Dark will be varying distances from the opponent and sometimes you'll end up in front, other times you'll be behind. Though I did the j.hp which whiffs but actually allows a higher end damage of the combo due to damage scaling.

  • I get it, thanks for the info.

  • @MattJ155

It's not possible to do that in normal gameplay. He's in training, and I do believe he has juggle turned on. I've played this game so many times it's not even funny; I can tell from now that'll not even begin to work in proper gameplay.

Even if juggle is off, the change bar does not fill up that fast normally. It'll never work.

  • @zeromasterd2

This is in training mode and the tag bar does fill up faster making this combo impossible to do in normal versus play. However the point of combo videos is to show whats possible within the confinds of the game limitations. In order to do that I leave the settings at the defaults which mean that juggling is off.

  • @zeromasterd2 besides that, even before the 2nd tag to get d.dark back in the opponent was already died. The rest of the combo was just extra appeal points.

  • @shinjig

Not exactly. You did two combos; the second starting when he woke up into the explosive. It could be blocked, and thus halting the start if the second killer combo =)

  • @zeromasterd2 It was an ambigious cross up. So they probably wouldn't have blocked, though still possible. yet how does that translate to it being impossible?

  • @shinjig It wouldn't be possible in normal gameplay is what I mean. The conditions are too specific for it to work in a real match. A human would block the cross up, and having Chun Li with a level 3 bar and a living D.D. just feels impossible. But I have to be sure, did you have juggling off or on for this? To my knowledge, linking any kind of moves after a super combo does not work unless it's a super or meteor combo that you're linking with.

  • @zeromasterd2 Its an ambigous cross up, whats so hard to understand? Look at the a-cho videos for EX2+ and you see good players not being able to block the cross up. Due to the fact that whether you cross them up or not depends on exactly when you kara cancel the low kick into the explosive. Do it too soon and it won't cross up, do it later and it crosses up.

  • @zeromasterd2 What is impossible about D.Dark being alive at the end of a match and chun li having a full bar? All you have to do is refrain from using supers in the match. Chunli can do her lightning kick infinite to get bar fast, and d.dark can use a good corner block string to build up meter.

and there was NO JUGGLING ON. For someone that claims to have spent a lot of time with EX3 you don't know much about the system.

  • @shinjig

That's weird then. I'll have to try it myself when my pal gives me back my copy of the game. And it's not that, it was the entire setting... The other character having a full bar, getting hit by everything, etc... I don't see how it would work against a human opponent. I know most of these combo videos are to show what "can" happen, they usually aren't very practical... But when I get back my game copy I'll try it myself. Shouldn't be too hard.

  • @zeromasterd2 I'm not saying that its very often that at the end of the match you'll have an opponent with full life and you have a full super for both characters. But if you want match practical combos then you can just take a sniplet of the combo and apply it in everyday matches, or watch actual match videos. Meanwhile the goal for me was to show you that such a thing was possible without the use of codebreakers or gamesharks. If you want a transcript I can figure it out and type it out.

  • @shinjig True. I would like a transcript of moves to do, I made a copy of my own disc on my PC, but the emulator runs slowly when more than two people are on-screen at the same time. So I'd need to try this on the console itself, which isn't modified XD

When I get back my original disc though, I'll happily try it out.

  • Very nice!

  • Wow.....that was great

  • I can do that lol
