Thanks, Eunny, for your clear instructions. This was a good refresher for me as I return to knitting after quite some time working on crochet projects! Thank you for this!
i have some questions about this technique...ok i understand how you cross the stitches...i do this in every row???and if i don't, how do i knit them?? i know that my questions must sound really funny but i really can't understand ;p
I live in the frozen tundra in Wisconsin. SOOO I am wanting to make a scarf that is really wide, really thick(maybe super chunky), really warm, really long neck with one generic really wide cabled(12 stitch cable at least) down the center with very few side stitches maybe 4. But I cannot find such a pattern & I have tried to figure it out, using the seed stitch on the sides but I cannot figure out how to make it turn out right. How many rows between each cable and so on. HELP!!!
Just wondering but what size knitting needles is she using? Also that finished red scarf they show at the beginning how many stitches would i have to cast on to make a scarf like that?
I know that youtube does not let live sports, television episodes and movies stream however, stream episodes (dot) net does. I highly urge you guys esp #VIDEOPOSTERID# to go investigate for yourself!
ME TOO!!! I totally just had to frog a hat I was working on because I tried to cross over the next row and the yarn was too tight, the yarn broke, and then I lost a whole row of stitches. I feel so stupid now, thank goodness the hat wasn't too far along.
I heard you can use anything thats roughly the same size as your normal needles, I take this to mean other needles, DPN's or even a pencil if you're desperate.
I'm so glad I found you on here. I watch every Saturday at home on the T.V. Thank you for putting these videos on here. They refresh my memory every time.
I tried reading about it in books but it never made sense to me, this is amazingly simple :3

Other than changing the look, does it really matter if you cable in the front or back?

Thank you for such a great video! Your cables are beautiful. I've never seen anyone wrap the yarn around their index finger like that, interesting!

@MitchPR08 Yup, I use hair-chopsticks when desperate (or when all my other needles are occupied by works in progress ^_~*)
