I never thought adventure island 1, 2 and 3 are related games. Seriously. Stupid kid me. Nevertheless I managed to beat the 2nd and 3rd game at the age of 8 or 9. But first one was way too hard lol.

Altough I never got as far in the first one, the last island, and also the last level of this one are by far the hardest I've played in the series. I remember I bought it again for christmas last year and I played pretty well, I almost couldn't believe it gave me that much trouble when I was 11, and then I reached the last island, lost all the Dinosaurs, lost everything, in the first level.

I have to admit that the third one if my favorite because it turned to be the easiest, at least to me.

The furthest I ever got as a kid was the Cloud Island, where I never got to the bird boss...

Now that (10 years later) I've finally beaten the game, I was rather disappointed that the giant dinosaur was not the final boss... that would've owned.

Hell, I don't mind the hanging larvae worm thing(first form), because he looks rather awesome, but the final fly form is just... bleh. I always wanted to face something 100 times the character's size in AI2...

Well, I'm on to Adventure Island 3 then.

It LITERALLY took me 15 years TO THE DAY to beat this game. When I was 6 years old I got this for my NES on Christmas Day, 1991. Christmas Eve 2006 I downloaded an emulator and the ROM for this game and beat it... Finally. The experience left me kind of disillusioned, I thought the objective of the game was to rescue the dinosaur in the center of the island, not your girlfriend! Fifteen years of waiting, only to rescue the girl like in all the other games of the series! BAAAH!!!

the super nintendo ones although S.I.A 2 was great it started to look like a side scroll zelda with swords and magic and stuff. and why did they get rid of the dinasaurs?

this game was so original dinasaurs, and a guy who throws tomahawks and can skate! and hes a good change in hero to being more overweight

than mario he could have made chubby kids proud of themselves instead of wanting to be muscular like all the rest of the heroes

This game is pretty fun, but the ice world ticks me off, in fact I hate most ice/snow levels in video games, sliding all over the dang place. I wonder if you can crack the egg that gives you a platform ride up to the dinosaur who can carry you to the next area.

Good old memories: First I finished Adventure Island 4 (Last Boss: blue tomato or something like that); then Adventure Island 3 (Last Boss: UFO and a Alian); and last I've finished was Adventure Island 2 (the cocon/magot and the stupid Fly) all on a real Famicom (i couldn't make SaveStates); and iven now i couldn't finish Adventure Island (not even on PC emulator)
