Treadmills, as far as I can tell, are just as good as running.
In any case, the people who said that treadmills pull your leg back for you, and that all you have to do is keep picking up your feet, must both have trouble grasping simple physics. A treadmill will keep your entire body in place by moving YOU back -- not your foot.
If you simply lifted your feet up and down without moving forward, you would fall off.
treadmills are the worst idea ever its not even working any muscles it pushes back your legs for you so it doesnt work the hamstrings and it barely works the quads, run on a road with sudden inclines and hills, much better for endurance and weight loss
Ridiculous. Absolute waste of time. All you have to do on a treadmill is pick your foot up and put it down - treadmill does the rest. Run outside like the fit, capable, able-bodied person that you are fortunate to be.
@gemdiva0621 Thanks for the vidoe...Im actualy Training to take the firemans exam during the summer...I have a 25lb vest and im running stairs and inclines in streets...should I go heavier in wieght as I become more comfortable whith the 25...Is there any advice Serg can give me as far as training is concerened Thanks!!!!
you will not lose more fat by doing this. you are losing extra weight purely from the amount of fluid you are losing. It's the same concept that wrestlers use to cut weight before a match. Sit in the sauna with a hoodie on for 6 hours, and sweat out 2 pounds. Take off the weighted vest and hoodie and just run normal. you will burn the same amount of calories. you wont lose as much weight but you will lose the same amount of fat.
i been doing it for the past month, ur right im not losing poundage but i losing extra water and looking better and thinner, its really about the cardio and stamina
yea i just got my 75 pound v-max in on saturday and i love it. me and my friend are going to be going through fire academy soon so i bought it to train with and since it's heavier than the scba(self-contained breathing apparatus), turnout coat, and 2 1/2 inch hose combined, i figured why not put it on one shoulder and act like it's a hose but heavier so that when we use the real gear, it's simple.
@343FirNaTine Hey man Im actualy training right now for the Fire Dept. in Atlantic City..I have a 25lb vest should I go heavier..im running alot of stairs and incline streets along with weight training...any advice you can give me Ill really appreicaite it thanks cuz!!
I suggest at least 50 pounds because the physical tests use a 40lb vest so you want to train harder than what they put you through. stairs are really good with the vest along with the streets. a good thing to do is get a mountain bike and go biking because the vest puts a lot of stress on your knees so instead of running (without a vest) bike for more miles. the physical test is more of a endurance/leg strength test.
Hey dude thank you very much...Ill put the incline on the treadmill all the way up and do sprints what goal should i go for as far as time is concered both ...like how many stairs should i be able to beast up on and how far should i be ablle to sprint with the 50 lb vest...again thanks for the advice!!
Thank you for commenting..this is a great workout and will aid you in burning more calories and getting fitter faster!! Keep up the good work and keep watching for more sergio videos

it's mostly about gaining leg, ab, back muscles while running with a weighted vest.
