  • 0:26 wat explosive is that

  • Beautifull British Jet (European)

  • As the video says: "WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!"

  • damt it... the pilots got the best job in the world!

  • very fast!

  • 0:19 best 'fireworks' ive ever seen

  • At last a decent vid without that effin dire organ music that air museums are so fond of....

  • I love our Tornado's

  • Loved that!..thanks :)

  • For anyone impressed by the clip at 1:55, there is a video at you tu.be/ TTPlk70eSLY that shows the long low level run it was taken from. Bet the ground crew were picking camel hairs out of the intakes afterwards!

  • wow...i shood have said, single fin f14!!!

  • HA..a fixed wing F14!

  • @kenns9 tornado isn't a fixed wing

  • @kenns9 retard

  • Awesome vid, awesome aircraft.

  • these aircraft are gonna pwn in libya

  • Thoroughbred...

  • Mint! Great video

  • i'm so proud that i fy this jet....

    R.S.A.F PILOT

  • @FAISAL15S If your government play their cards right you may get to be flying the EF soon :)

  • @TheARMAProductions i'd love to man that would be awesome>>

  • I'd give me last Rolo to go up in one of these and hug the ground at mach 1.3 +...

  • The Brits are the BEST in the world at low level/ treetop attacks. Damn, those boys get CLOSE! What a rush!

  • @jonesy97 i was gonna post that :)

we still have something to be proud of at least

  • 0:30 I bet the green keeper was pissed off about them messing up the fairway!

  • @danebrewer10

    not a word...

  • 1:07

The sleekness reminds me a bit of a shark

  • @29Gixxer the Tornado it is quite sharklike now you mention it. i recently met a civ. pilot who told me he always thought the Tomcat looked like a grasshopper, which is another perfect description in my book.

  • The heat shimmer at the start of the video is incredible

  • If handsome counts for anything then the Tornado is is top dog. A beautiful aircraft.

  • @sidlawman if you think the tornado is beautifull then google tsr 2

  • 0:53

    Badass....

  • 0:19 - 0:21. Now correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure that you cannot go full after burner and low over a residential area?...But who cares what you gonna do about it anyways?

  • This machine is something special. The guy that is on the ground who is running for his life and this agile life eliminator is the last thing his eye registers assuming the pilot is hugging the ground. I would have a heart attack.

  • @irezric

yeah they don't make jets capable of ultra low level @ mach 1.2+ anymore. No need due to munition/radar/laser tech I guess.

  • Don't let the Tornado go like the Jaguar. Update it, and keep it flying! Amazing jet that kept the Soviets worried about the U.K.

  • the pride of the RAF top video

  • the best of all

  • @o0Deano2k80o SR-71 blackbird?

  • tornado 4 live! :)

  • 1:55 THAT STRIKES ME AS IRRESPONSIBLE

  • @MonkeyKong21 It strikes me as staying low so your under the radar and masked by what few and small gradients there are in a desert.

  • @MonkeyKong21 Why:S?

  • 0:19

  • same here. I'd pick the Tornado over any U.S. aircraft!

  • The Destroying Angel !

  • saw two of these beauties dipping down the valleys up in the north east the other day :) been a while since iv seen them before that was pleased to see em back :) possibly the most stunning vehicle ever built

  • WOOO HOOO

  • Was that a real SAM site at 4:30?

    AWSOME video, great flying :)

  • It's the Sa8 Gecko at RAF Spadeadam. Its a facility used to train UK and allied aircrews in Electronice warfare/SEAD etc...

They have an Sa6, Sa8 and ZSU23-4 systems as well as Radars and Emulators including a Skyguard (captured from Argentina) a T1 to simulate Fan Song and Low Blow for the Sa2 qnd 3. Finally they have two American AN/MPS T43 to simulate Sa6 and Sa8 radars. Apparently they can also simulate Sa10 and Sa11 but I don't know what they use for that.

  • I am a Yankee, I am also an aviator (non mil) and the Tornado is by far hands down my fav. mil aircraft ever made. Three cheer!

  • tornados getting a bit old tho very nice but not ecomnoically or techno viable...but the F35 has big shoes to fill wen it comes in

  • yankees are special americans, and new england isnt california, so...

    EASTCOAST!

griitings from lake of constanz germany

  • @Learjetjock Fuckin A right it is. Seeing this makes me envy all of the men and women flying this. The song just fits the mood you feel when you see a Tornado screamin in at tree top level. Exciting lol

  • Does anyone know where I can get the footage of the Tornado flying over the see (at the 48 second mark on the video)? I was the pilot.

  • 750 metres take off

370 metres with reverse for landing

    Paolo.Italy.

  • I saw one of these birds take off out of Nellis AFB and talk about a long take off roll! Reminded me of how long the German F4's would take to get airborne.

  • fsx lol

  • Luftwaffe rlz!

  • Not really no, this is the RAF.

  • most of this is raf and italian I guess. but we acquired more than 360 of them, 85 will remain in service. what a humilation for such a nice plane...

best video on tornado on yt

  • Geil!

  • Maybe he does look quiet "sexy" but I think the technology can not be compared with the Eurofighter. This plane is some years old. Nothing lasts forever.

  • Comment removed

  • 0:22 is awesome because it is so low that you can see the exhaust that well

  • Such a badass plane. But still so god damn beautiful!

  • fuckin awsom

  • one awsum plane, who lse uss these apart from th RAF and the Luftwafer (or howvr its spelt :P )

  • Italy, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the RAF...And its Luftwaffe

  • It isn't, the majority of it is the RAF.

  • Luftwaffe ;)

  • that a badass italian jet fighter.........

  • european*

  • heh UK and Germany had 42% share each in its development and production. the italians got 15%

  • i didnt know it had a reverse gear ;-)

  • Best job in the world

  • Good video 5 star.

  • Good old Tonka's. Did a bit of time at Marham - good fun. Seeing one going full blat with full reheat then going vertical is something else...

  • i love tornado´s..awesome!

  • my dad flew these wen i was about 3 first jet i ever sat in will never frget it

  • Been there, and it's the best buzz ever!

Used to work on these, now live in NZ where we don't even have fighters any more?

  • Great vid, this matches the French Mirages in chad, go the RAF.

  • ey, could someone tell me what's the name of that song?? thanks

  • Blur - Song 2

  • what is the songs name???

  • To Ebonywithoutivory.

I am sure a 10 is better because its made to bomb. I think tornado is one of best bombers in class of fighters.

  • Erm...they provide communications, oxygen and protection for the pilots/WSOs face if they have to punch out; they do what they are designed to do. I would asumb you are one of those jackass Americans who obsess about how good something likes when really, its about how WELL IT WORKS.

  • I agree with glenn, you are the joke.

  • they, unlike you in the bedroom, get the job done

  • I wonder which is the better low level bomber.... A-10 or Tornado?

  • Tornado for its speed, terrain following radar and firepower but A10 for its ability to take serious damage and still fly on.

  • Tornado for its firepower against A10, are you serious ?

  • In any theatre of war I`d rather be in a Tornado GR4 (IDS) than the A10 `Warthog` There`s no questioning the firepower of the A10`s excellent nose mounted gatling gun but it can only be fired in small bursts at a time because it slows the aircraft down so much when fired and the A10 is very slow to start with!(top speed approx 450 knots) Anyway the 2 aircraft were built for different roles. The Tornado is a low level Interdictor Strike Aircraft whereas the A10 is a Close Air Support Aircraft.

  • Depends on what you want to do and where. The Tornado is more of a striker for work well back of a front line against set targets ike airfields or cgi sites. The A-10 is a close air support bird for loitering in an area for extended periods and striking vehicles and other pop-up targets. However, I think the A-10 is the better aircraft for it's incredible utility and survivability. It was used for a crazy number jobs in the first gulf war.

  • A10 is a close support aircraft NOT a low level bomber.

  • Also, many people were shocked to see the A-10 flying at 75knots, dropping its payload over them...

  • As were most of the Allied soldiers did when they saw an A-10 during the gulf war.

  • A-10 is more ground support (where tank buster came from) whereas tornado is a true bomber

  • @rafvdbosch The A-10 is a Close Air Support. While the Tornado is a Fighter-Bomber with the ability to carry up to 4 nukes.

  • Why is there always music on aircraft videos...............

  • Yes maybe its no longer one of the worlds best, but it is loved by its people more than any other military aircraft bar perhaps the Spitfire, tbh the Eurofighter is Unlovable, its a flying computer, all electronics and no soul, I couldnt never love the Eurofighter or any other modern fighter, yes I am impressed by them, but they dont have 'soul' like the Torndo does

  • I love the Tornado!

  • awsome vid..

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • alistairarthur (2 months ago)

"I heard the us air force had to borrow them for operations in the gulf and afghanistan because they had nothing that could bomb as good as the tornado"

incorrect, the UK flew them in the Gulf War, they were not loaned to the USA, but they did see extensive service flying for the RAF

  • My dad filmed the clip at 1:38 my claim to fame!!

  • bangin

  • RAF. the best, bravest, most well trained in the world!!!! second to none.

  • superskullmaster

Say what you want about Tornado pilots, they are all jealous of America's REAL airplanes. Tornadoes are so underpowered that butterflied fly into the engine inlet and out with no scratches.

what was f 105 thunderchief??? disaster!! (and easy to take down by mig 21)!!

  • The Tornado first flew in the mid to early 70's....not much later than the Phantom...for it's time it was, like the Phantom, good at a lot of things but great at none. The Hornets I flew in the late 80s and early 90s are no competition for what we will be flying only 10 years from now! As for the THUD...it is one of my favorites...it got my dad home time after time...over a hundred times!

  • maybe but we dont go to war to kill butterflies or our own people or even members of our own coalition, we go to kill the enemy you douche bag yank

  • its a bomber. At low altitude it will out run just about anything, M2K and F-16 included. As an Interceptor it has greater endurance then both the F-16 and M2k and outguns the F-16. So considering the IDS/Gr.1-4 are bombers and the ADV a dedicated interceptor it is not shit in its intended roles it is far superior. If you want to go hunting migs however then you really dont want to get WR in a Tornado.

  • takes the british to fight a war properly not like yanks they cant tell differance between us and enemies

  • and sometimes themselves.yes thier has been british friendly fire as well.

  • top tune and the brits havin it large

  • nice^^

  • ilove RAF and i love the Tornado GR4 and F3.the RAF has some of the best low level flyires on the planet .

  • i wanna join raf as a pilot but i am short sighted :(

  • i can see what your saying mate, but personally out of all the air craft we have ide soon still rather fly this given the choice anyday! but thats just my opinion obv!

  • Mint

  • plus ide hardly call them under powered with speeds upto 1511 mph and capabilities of travelling from yorkshire to london in 11 minutes :)

  • Power doesn't really eqaul speed, the Concorde is just as fast as the Tornado but has a thrust to weight ratio of a brick with a bottle rocket engine. A tornado can't climb vertical and speed up. Its a good low alt bomber, thats it. Can't fuck with nothing in air to air though.

  • You will find very few aircraft can actually accelerate in a vertical climb. Especially when carrying a proper weapon and fuel load.

The F/A-18 and F-14D for example cannot accelerate in a climb with a combat load.

The thrust to weight is mostly useful in a dogfight. And that is a position the Tornado is never intended to get in. The ADV, the F3, wants to fire its BVR missiles at max range and then get the hell out of there.

Its an interceptor, not a fighter.

  • F-15, F-22, Mig-29, Su series to name a few all have positive t/w. Of course not with a max payload but then they aren't flown that way often.

  • thats what ide call environmentally friendly aswell as amazing :)haha

  • Say what you like about the F22, the Tornado's have better pilots that's for sure!

  • That may be so, but at least our pilots don't rely on Avionics to do their job for them ;)

  • I heard the us air force had to borrow them for operations in the gulf and afghanistan because they had nothing that could bomb as good as the tornado

  • nice video I love the tornados

  • i want to join the RAF as a pilot as soon as i leave school

  • My dad was one of the lucky bastards that used to fly these and flown sorties over iraq in the first gulf war... he now flys boeing 757s he say he would go back flying the Tornado anyday there isn't another adrenaline buzz like it apparently!!

  • BRAVO!

  • they were one of the best sights ever when we were in the sh1t in iraq! thanx boys.

  • thank you for sayen

  • goog thumbs up!!

  • could someone put some turbonegro to some of this cool moviclips...????
