I had this funky issue as well, not sure if your issue is resolved already considering the age of the video but for other peoples future reference if they have the same issue. Try pressing the memOK button, if that dosent work break out the old manual and Clear CMOS. If those dont do the trick get on the phone to ASUS and either they will help you figure out the issue or RMA the board.
i read somewhere that someone had the red light issue and they removed the cpu and found some pins bent judging by the size of that cooler check the cpu for bent pins
