For whatever reason, the song is slightly higher in pitch and tempo. The two are usually mutually inclusive. So if this sounds higher in pitch to you than the album version/iTunes/whatever, you're correct and not going crazy.

@patsyohulaghan Not sure of the scale, but from how I play the solo, the first note starts on the D string, 12th fret. The rest of the frets used are D(string): 10 and 12; G: 10 and 12; B: 10 and 11. Play around with those notes and you'll figure it out. It ends by scaling down the strings, starting from top E string: 8, 9, 10, 11, then 7, 8, 9, 10 all the way down the strings until you reach the B, which ends the solo with the one note on the 8th fret. Atleast that's my take on it.

@patsyohulaghan Oh, and I think the solo is played in a D-minor scale. Don't play along to video unless you want to retune your guitar roughly a half-step up, as the pitch is higher in this upload than the recorded version.
