  • Our celebrity gal looks so shocked. I think she basically summed up what everyone who saw/sees this is thinking! That was AWESOME! XD

  • @BohepansTheThird I think at that moment, she was trying her best not to unleash her inner John McEnroe. "Oh, you can't be serious man, YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS!!! THAT BALL WAS ON THE LINE!!!" Uhhhh, wrong game dearie.

  • @EizentheAnimeniac

And now I feel an urge to watch that one Adam Sandler movie, Mr. Deeds. Oh, John McEnroe, you card. XD

  • What do you think this is? MADtv?

  • OK...he changed a Queen...

    ...got an Eight...

    ...and he SWEPT THE BOARD!?

    What the hell!?

  • Bill Daily (who just turned 84) is a Jughead while Marcia Wallace is a Veronica and YES i do watched reruns of The Bob Newhart Show

  • Dumb!

  • What he did....... that takes major balls! :D

  • The game is not "Crazy Eights", Mr Daily. Oh never mind. :-)

  • Holy $#!-

  • You go, Bill!

  • Daly is a game show troll.

  • @DirtyChandelier and you're an internet troll.

  • Jim Perry was the best game show host ever!

  • Uh... okay, he probably shouldn't have changed his card, but it's not like it changed anything anyway... he would have said lower either way, and he still would have been right. What are people angry about? That karma didn't punish him?

  • bill daly is a douchebag

  • Wow. Bill Daly trades one of the best cards for the worst card in the deck. You don't see this happen every day. He was so damn lucky after running all five cards and with a royally bad card to start.

  • Ms. Crabappel gets pwned by Major Healy.

  • Very good question. But my best guess is not Bill. :)

  • I found this from a Card Sharks episode guide on the web...

"For the tournament, Mary Ann Mobley, Greg Mullavey, Marcia Wallace, Avery Schreiber, and Meredith MacRae all won $5,000 for each of their charities, Bill Daily won $6,000 for the American Cancer Society, Ross Martin earned $12,700 for the UCLA Cancer Immunization Center, and Vicki Lawrence won the Salk Institute $33,800 for a grand total of $77,500 for the seven charities."

  • BTW, who ended up winning the tournament?

  • Jim: "The Q is a lousy card?!?!"

(to himself) "I'm going to show you lousy!!"

    [Flip]

    "(chortle)"

    Priceless :-)

  • It's amazing how he had to think a few seconds before changing the 1st Q, but then "LOWER" right away with the 2nd Q.

I also like the end.. "We're running out of time" "We're running out of brains!" :-))

  • "Minnesota Fats, you now have the worst card in the deck."

    Nice one, Jim!

  • Later (on this episode or the next episode) Vicki Lawrence said she would quit show business if Bill Daily won for the week. They were playing for charity and the top money winner would win a bonus for their charity.

  • "He changed a queen and he WON?!?"

    LOL AT HER FACE

  • Hahaha! "How do I win that girl over there!"

  • Funny it ends up being an 8.

  • Portraying a "bumbling idiot" on "I Dream of Jeannie" and "The Bob Newhart Show" might have made his characters endearing to a generation of sitcom viewers, however, as a game show player/panelist, that same "bumbling idiot" schtick becomes very tiresome and very annoying very fast. I thought he was horrid on "Match Game" and was always focused on acting like a boob instead of trying to let funny things happen as they are supposed to.....spontaneously.

  • DUUUUUDE!!! HOW'D HE DO THAT!!?

  • It's things like this that made Marcia ready for Bart Simpson on the Simpsons.

  • Fall-off-your-chair FUN-NEE!

  • Bill Daly is awesome!!!

  • I love Marcia and Bill. Don't know what Bill was thinking but whatever works. I also love watching these two on Match Game another great gameshow!

  • Wow, that is funny! I can't believe he won either.

  • Maybe he was being funny because since it was for charity it probably didn't matter, I bet both charities win the same amount.

  • All charities are guaranteed $5,000.

  • And whoever won for the week received a bonus for their charity.

  • I'll say Bill Daly doesn't know what he's doing.

  • This episode was on today at 10:00.

  • The problem with the eight is that he's only lucky he chose lower. The way I see it, he was more deserving of a six or seven with his judgment.

  • Marcia's reaction is priceless!

  • lol

  • This is not the first time it was a shock to change a good card. On the episode of Lee vs. Eva in '78, Eva changed a FOUR, which everyone thought was a shock, but an ACE was on top of the deck. She did the right thing to change, because the next card was a 3. Talk about luck there.

    Bill...can't believe that happened.

  • You...

    ...have GOT...

    ...to be kidding.

  • Changing a Queen? Boooooo is right.

  • changed a queen and won??? What just happened here?

  • must have been drinking before the show

  • do you have the Card Sharks opening that features Sammy Davis Jr.?

  • unfortunately I don't :(

  • @caseykasemrocks tsskiller08 does have the full episode with Sammy Davis, Jr. appearing during the beginning segment. Key in "Card Sharks Sammy Davis Jr." and you will see the legendary star in Part 1 of the episode.

  • ROFL @ Marcia

  • "you're running out of brains" LOL
