I've just ordered a new Quad Core PC built within this exact case. I wanted it as it's quiet and specifically built to run almost silently, especially if you opt for a silent PSU and passively cooled graphics card and SSD, etc, I sincerely hope my new rig will be as silent as possible with the help of this case. I think the key is to regularly clean the fans.

Rodney, I managed to put a 120mm fan in very easily. you just put it in the plastic thing, pop off the door and screw it in, it works.

If getting this case make sure the power supply is modular so as to not stop airflow to the power supply. I had one fail because of that.

This case is supposed to be the quietest case you can get for it's price. It looks pretty nice for the business man or home office or non-gamers. I'm going to get this if nothing better comes out.

i like my antec 600 case looks sexy and has great airflow and lots of room for upgrades alsp it has 4 fans and 3 are blue led fans, 2 front 120mm led fans and one giant 200mm blue led fan ont the top and a normal back exhaust fan

@TomorrowDreamer the card wil fit easy, the 2 fans that comes with the case are enough, my case temps are normal with the fan speed on low settings and 2x 5770 in crossfire, search youtube on 5770 crossfire to see my open p183, so you can see the space left for very large cards ^_^

also the side of the box has a new SSD compatable sticker on the side so i dont know if this is the sign to tell you which is the newer version of the case

that there was no cut out for the motherboard to be able to replace the heatsink and if you needed to replace the heatsink you had to take all the motherboard out to replace it, When i got my antec p183 case last week i took the side panel off and now there is a cut out for you to be able to replace heatsinks without taking the motherboard out.

I bought this for a quiet computer and I am not at all satisfied. The stock fans absolutely must be replaced. They are way noisy even at lowest speed. For a cabinet that is supposed to be the top for this purpose and for that price, that is not ok.

Yeah there are some. Hard to find and the good ones are custom cases, so they are expensive. Don't know the name of any though.

I'm guessing not. The included Antec tricool fans are pretty loud (I don't own the case but i've used the tricools before). You'd want to replace them with some Noctua or Scythe fans.

It's alright fair good, but not amazing. Set the fans to low and you should be okay. You can get a PC quieting kit for it (sound proofing foam you stick to all the inside walls) and that makes it very quiet.

yes, this case is silent, all Antec cases starting with P are from their Performance class, which are all silent cases

well, maybe with all the other components like graphics card and cpu cooler the noise goes up, i think that the case itself is very silent, not a lot of people hear the stock cooling or stock case anyway..

getting an antec 1200 - hope it gets here soon so i can start building my rig, today i finished putting the i7 920 D0 in the EVGA X58 SLI LE with zalman cnps10x extreme on top of that, waiting for other parts.. :)

All cases are silent. It's what you put in it that makes noise. The fans that come with this case is far far from even being quiet. They must be replaced if you want a quiet computer.

they aren't that high, i'm using antec tricool fans and on low they're nearly silent in this case.

Depends on your room noise. I hear 'em and didn't hear my previous case at all... but it only had a power supply and processor fan. It was dead silent. I'm going to disable/replace the top fan or try replacing it with a master cooler 120mm. They seem to be better.

yep it's bigger than the standard size so only a few antec cases will fit it

and the reason why it's so big is because there are more components inside teh PSU, which makes it more efficient, and stable

Great video review as always. There is only a little thing that I think is not correct. If you put 2 hard drives in the top HDD bay, you can't put a large graphics card because the HDD and its cables will prevent it.

As other says, the P183m isn't a huge upgrade since P182. That and you only get 2 fans preinstalled, with the P182 you get 3 fans. But I like the fan holder @ the lower front chamber.

I have a P182 and one thing I don't like is the way the lower fan is mounted because it's in the way of the HD cables. With SATA drives you have to be careful not to break off a connector on an HD as you're sliding the cage back into the case.

I like the filters they put on the external bays of the 183 but the vents on the front door are ugly. Too bad they don't make a case that's a combination of the looks of the 182 with the filters and lower fan of the 183.
