I Think that the Harry Potter Saga will always be unique and it will always be different than other films. It will always be special. Severus Snape will always be special for me. It is really strange that the most of us are so attached to him... also if he never has existed. But Thank you Alan for  making him so Special..

I cried when it happened in the book, and though the movie is a pale imitation, when I saw this part in the theater that opening night, I couldn't stop sobbing. I had predicted that Snape was Dumbledore's man through and through, but I didn't understand the depth of it until I read the truth. I get sad over the thought that when he's in wizard after-life, who is HE going to hang out with?? Dumbledore? I'm sure he'd rather hang with Lily, but James will be there and Sirius. But maybe they'll all be together cause Snape help save and protect their son, so, maybe they'll accept him and appreciate him, but it would be awkward cause he loves Lilly. sad even in death..poor Sev..

Absolutley fantastic. Snape was somebody who i always wanted to be but i really can't tell what exacly it is. Anyway, he's so positive and fantastic person (as figure of book, od course ;] ). He's history is so sad and it makes me cry... I <3 Snape!

i think the way they wrote the movie too (or directed it) made his death so sudden and brutal that it's hard to accept. Most deaths have people screaming 'no no!' and sobbing and clutching. Due to the character and his relationship with Harry you had to be satisfied with the wonderful subtlety of the death scene and Rickman's ability to portray fear, regret, tenderness, etc. in a few seconds. I also love the way he lets his eyes stay open at the end. His eyes are everything

oh hell no, i always loved snape. always felt like there was magic there even when i thought he was bad (though honestly in sorcerer's stone he was vindicated as not hexing harry's broom so I think the seeds of his duality were always there)

sometime I wonder why I'm so attached to a character, I mean he' s never really existed but his story makes me so sad like he was a real living person...I feel like I'm grieving for him even if he exists only in our fantasy. must be the magic of Harry Potter books.

The only reason he watched over him was for Lily's sake.

After Dumbledore said that, Snape showed him his patronus, which is a doe, showing that he still loved Lily.

In the book, after Dumbledore said that, Snape's response was "For him?!" then brought out his patronus to show that it was all for Lily.
