Well she didn't rally jump into the Time Portal you see after Carmen said that she's sending the villain through the Time Portal to that certain year and tell the crook to use the loot orb to protect the loot the Time Portal during 1997 was dropped down onto the crook in 1996 the villain had to go to the Time Portal as Carmen sets the destination
