  • I love how Perry Farrell used to dress like a Voo Doo Pimp!

  • FUCK! What a line up!

  • CuMin' doWn the mMmoO0untAiN!!!:PXXX

  • Sometimes you just need to hear a song that explodes into your headphones. This one's got bombast to spare, and that groove is one of the nastiest things ever produced in rock music. Brilliance, period.

  • I love JA! Perkins and Navarro - rock, metal and musically talented musicians. Avery and Farrell - dark and artsy performance and feel. Killer mix :)

PS Great to c Flea with JA :)

  • 90's were the best I miss them every day when I turn on the radio and have to listen to this puke garbage they call music bring back the good shit

  • I remember seein' Porno at Lolla. Everybody just standing there with their arms folded. "Oh, it's not Janes Addiction." No fucking shit Sherlock. Now shut the fuck up and rock or get out of my way!! (actually said that to someone!) Thx for the awesome show Perry!

  • For Cameron <3 cos u kno honey; you know babay,)

  • Whoa. Dave, Perry and Flea all on the same stage. It does not get much better than that.

  • reall hell!!! Great!!!

    youtubeDOTcom/watch?v=9Yh2AUgwqBc

  • When I saw PFP @ the enit festival, Perry kissed Dave. lol They know how to put on a show!!!!!!!

    I <3 Jane's addiction, I <3 Porno for Pyros, I love Perry!! Genius!!

  • Check out pink narcissus band. janes addiction still lives

  • WTF? Why is THIS vid attached to so many anti-drug vids and the likes!? Assume make and ass...etc!

  • That was damn near studio.

    Dead on, Vocals were killer.

Of all the mountain songs ive heard thats in the top 3.

  • wtf is up with perry's headgear?...aboriginal motifs on a shade hat?...pretentious...moi?...lmao

  • Stephen Perkins plays the drums like no one else.

  • Simply Amaziing pretty much all it is

  • That is sooooooo kick ass!!

  • i was there. first row on dave's side. that was such a great day, nyc in late february and it was 70 degrees that day - notice how everyone is dressed? when jane's split up in 91 we all thought they were done for good. there was no way i was missing this for the world!

  • saw them in the Uptown Lounge in Athens, quiet side of that Ga city until Jane's played there in '88 while 'Nothing Shocking' being released, up to that, Perry said Athens crowd sucked, I agree but I loved em, they frigin' rocked!

  • That song just plain kicks ass. . .no other way to say it. Air drums all the way through!

  • What's that sound on the mountain?

    AHOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU!!!

    Great song!

  • Wow the base line is really similar to readymade

  • that was "yes to drugs" janes addiction lineup..i actually love it

  • Yes...It's Flea (RHCP's Bassist)...And the guitarist is Dave Navarro (Ex RHCP's Guitarist)...the begin is like Readymade (Song of RHCP) xD

  • Dave was in the RHCP for a brief, BRIEF!! time, but was and always will be one of the founding members of Jane's Addiction!! And this song has no ties with Readymade, seeing it was written in 1987, 18 years before readymade!

  • yeah. thats what i thought when i first heard readymade, i was like... heeey. flea, you were a naughty boy

  • exactly! ive been sayin the like forever! itz just like readymade>)

  • oh wow that's flea right there right?

  • I saw Jane's at merriweather 2 weeks ago. It was amazing. Perry Farrel still looks amazing even at 50

  • Hey Now....Howard has the best taste in music

  • I saw them perform the next night at Roseland. Acoustic version of "I Would For You" = classic.

  • the begin of this song, is like the begin of Readymade from Red hot chili peppers...

  • Did you notice that it is flea playing bass?

  • yes , but this song was made before flea get on the band.

  • Jane's is the best non-Metal band of the 80's.

  • saw this performed on pitchfork.... had to drop the key and his vocals still just didn't do it. :(

  • Janes Addiction is working working on a new Album with Trent Reznor, unless things have changed.

  • Tour's called NINJA (Nine Inch Nails + Jane's Addtiction)

  • clever name

  • amazing song!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol kinda reminds me of my boy jakes band matter of fact i will be puttin some of his song on youube from our house shows =)

  • Classic song...btw, this is how Scott Weiland acts and sounds now.

  • ost respect for Scott Weiland. paid 40 dollars to go see STP then it got cancelled the last min. after he decided to get fucked up on heroin.

  • He is my favorite singer but is a real fuck up. I don't think he will be alive much longer.

  • this reminds me of the chili peppers stuff around this time

  • Some of the best music produced in the 90s. Perry is a seriously fucked up genius

  • me loves the janes addiction

    CASH IN!

  • janes addiction is dope and i like to go on runs listing to them

  • such a great song

  • ich finde das lied genial

  • Chester singt das lied 100 mal besser!!!!!!!!

  • One of the most underrated bands of all time Jane's Addiction. Their only problem was they didn't market their music correctly, if they did they would've been one of the biggest bands in the world in the late 80s early 90s.

  • I agree .

For a bisexual jewsih kid ( Perry's real name is Simon Bernstein )he was incredibly talented .

    So many great songs .

  • haha flea does stick out like anthony said in scar tissue

  • Get it Dave!

  • esa performance de farrell y todas esas heroinomanas bailando suena INCREIBLE (AWESOME!) stephen perkins rules...

  • one of the greatest videos yet of a truly great song. long live PERRY!!!!

    fuck yea

  • its hard not to sound like an old fart but i think the 90s was the last decade of great music, how anyone can enjoy shite like 50cent,kylie,etc.etc.christ knows, music has become stagnant.

  • I 100% agree with you.

  • nah dude, you listening to the wrong music. dont listen to the radio and find real musicians. i will concede that the 90s had great music as popular culture and in the foreground in our lives, which isnt the case any more. but music hasnt become stagnant. have you listened to the new radiohead album? tell me after hearing that that music has become stagnant.

  • Oh yes. Music on todays radio is great!

    SHAKE SHAKE UH SHAKE IT!

That must have taken years to write.

  • I agree...music back in the 90's was so fresh and vibrant...it was done with the passion!

  • wow amazing!!!

  • is that true

  • yes, it wasn't let out to the public but my mother was there. o.o;

  • love it or love it

  • perry is always avant garde when it comes to shows and music... the guy is a short changed version of a white prince ... in the rock sense.

Good luck Perry.... keep playing .... the last show was awesome as usual.

  • the 90s were probly the best decade for rock music

  • are you dum as shit the early 80's and was the best fucking decade for rock metal thrash hardcore and all that shit.

  • maybe. But the 90s was just so fresh and different. Unlike todays 'music'. I hate being part of a generation that is listening to such shit like 50 cent, nickelback and hedley thats being called music. Not even Stonesour or Slipknot are fuffiling the need for fresh tunes. I wish I was a teenager in the 90s.

  • absolutely agreed with you!

  • I was a teenager in the 90's and it was awsome. I saw the prodigy, rancid, hole, mud honey, pavement, Porno for piros, to name a few what a wonderful time to be alive! today is just a pathetic replay!

  • No, he said best decade for MUSIC. Thrash and hardcore aren't music.

  • wow..........AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • Greatest live video I have ever seen. I can't sit down whenever I watch this video. Just amazing.

  • what year is this from ?

  • 1997

  • comin down the mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cliff burton>les claypool>billy gould>steve harris>john deacon>trevor dunn>.....flea is the end of the fuckin chain, jane's addiction is amazing none the less

  • a very good live recording

  • llcoolj111 has hard charger and this also if you haven't found his channel yet! Go check it out!

  • And because of Flea I have played bass for Most of my Life

  • Flea was mainly there to fill in and maybe slap on his own personal touch as a Killer Bass player , Yes Flea is probably the best Bass player in the world

some would argue techie stuff,,that aside flea Has to Creativity , style, personality Flea is the perfect Complete Bass player !!!!

  • les claypool > flea.

  • Flea is the best player in the world until you grow up - there are many far superior

  • No offense to Flea, but it sounds like he's trying to break his strings in the intro.

  • yeah they are way too clanky, not smooth like Eric A.

  • I think Flea has built his typical sound only when he took part of RHCP.

  • Flea is definitely my favorite bassist, but I don't think he really fit in with Jane's very well.

  • disculpen pero el video es terrrible fome grasias

  • Oh my God!!! I still tell people about this performance to this day.....wow crazy to think this was on MTV none the less....

  • FLEAAAA!!!!!

  • janes addiction or porno for pyros or whatever the hell this awesome shit is shouldnt play seated venues. if i saw them i'd just be moshing and going mental

  • nice! flea is such a great bonus too

  • The dancer at 3:32 is so damned sexy. I still remember from almost 10 years ago when I first saw it.

  • you should of seen the birds they had at the Init festival. all made up as earth sprites, i just wanted to jump on them.

  • Hey, what's the Init festival?

  • sorry, i meant Enit. search on youtube. they have the whole show (part1) (part2) on and on.

  • Thanks B! :0

  • 2-27-97

  • In 1997 I believe, sometime before the Relapse Tour.

  • when was this performance?

  • psychedelic, man

  • Awesome. I can hear all the instruments. Fun to listen too. Flee's bass, Navaro's guitar. Perry sings trippy like always. Good sound.

  • lol and mad song XD

  • Magic.

  • I love everything in this video.
