that's based on jeolousy. I meant Naoto might object the main character's "justice" literally, resulting in two opposing protagonists. Happens in most anime too.

so obviously female... i knew this was a female before i even found out she was. i only found out she was female by reading the comments below. they could have done better... but voice actors for both p3 were pretty damn good, and i doubt they'd be any less for this game. though they could have done better, it's cool though, that the voice hints to you that he may be female by listening closely or if you can sense it... vs boys that just turn out to be girls

I think the reason why Naoto poses as a boy is to taken more seriously since she is in a profession stereotypically done by men .Her fear is not being taken seriously, so this is most likely the case.
