I only have one gun. It's an "Auto Ordnance 1911A1". Even though I overpaid for it, it's still a very fun gun. I don't trust it with my life unfortunately. I want to buy a "Glock 20sf" next. That would be my favorite gun if I had one.

The Walther PPS .40S&W is lighter, slimmer (virtually no printing) and a better perfomer. The best carry 1911 is the Para-Ordnance Carry 6 (6.45) LDA. Best ejector, oversized thumb safety, and light trigger pull.

BTW, the XDM is a .45Auto but is not a John Browning 1911 in design.

Revolver ` Taurus Mdl 85 hammerless 2inch .38Spec with Wolff Spring kit upgrade. Best value for a CCW. S&W Airweight 642 .38Spec is also great and light weight. Carry a copule of quick reloaders as well.

good vid! wow.. i don't know. As far as pistols go I'm .45acp all the way. Les Baer makes a 1911 that is so fine and down to the almot affordable range, but the springfield xd45 is going to have to be my choice. More ammo.. that simple. Then comes rifles.. I'm am AR guy. of all the different ARs i've shot... best bange for my buck is the Double Star. Now I'm going to be honest. My Ruger Mark III 22/45 gets more use than any other weapon i own. can't live without it.

@tyrusvirus1 can't go wrong with anything colt or limber, although both will run you around 1000+ depending on what you get. I know last time I was in my local gun shop, they had a brand new kimber full stainless for like 800, so just look around. I think ruger is made in use also, but i don't know too much about their stuff.

I still have nightmares now... The point of my comment is that if it happened here it could happen there. We were not as organised as you are in the US, with the NRA. Tom I'm surprise u like the Sig Mosquito u must have a good one cuz I have heard horror stories about that gun. I own the Kahr p.380 and I agree that the Sig has the edge My Kahr had to go to the shop to polish the feed ramp and it still chokes up with Federal Hydrashocks. I use it with Winchester PDX no issues. Whats ur take on the new Colt .380 Mustang featherwieght and the Beretta Nano 9MM? In .40 I like the H&K very pricey or the practical Glock 23. .45 is too expensive for my budget.

I would have to choose a Smith + Wesson Sigma SW9VE. It is as accurate and reliable as a Glock with better ergonomics.

I would not show anybody those Black Talons let alone put them in a video. My favorite handgun's are my Heinie 10mm longslide, Nighthawk Predator II bobtail (45), and my S&W TRR8(.357). I love my Glock 20 also,but don't like my Glock 29 very much. Its way too small and the handle is way to fat for that powerful a round IMHO.

Tom, I agree with all of your choices even though I have not owned a few of the guns that you showed,I have read enough about them that I would be ok with them if some one gave me one.

And if I could only have one gun from all of your picks I would say it has to be the Glock 19.

It has been torture tested and fires under all conditions with little cleaning and I can load it up with 33 rounds. Stop by the glock booth @ shot show and ask them if they will build a carbine.

@magenvy78 It might be with the urganomics of the 3rd gen glock. While reliable, they're usually not comfortae fitting the human hand. I'm not as big as you, (5'11) but I have gotten some range time with my dad's 2nd generation Glock 17 and SIG Sauer P226, and I feel that I make better groupings with the SIG. Just my intake. Others vary.

Sig's seems to fit my hands the best, i love how they feel at the range, p238, p226, p229, p220.A model of a p238 was just approved on the Ca doj list, i have seen it at 1 shop. I nailed a can of soda about 80 - 90 yards away on the first shot.I had to stare at the 7.5 for a minute before I took another shot. Bought my son and I a .17 HMR Savage to take out with the 7.5 to see just how far we can push the FNH, I have heard of 200 yard shots with them. A .17 can do that all day long, but we will see if the seven five can do it. R n' R.

Since we are taking about your particular weapons ...S &w 686 38/357 , Colt Delta Elite 10 mm, Although you don't own a cz in 9mm the only weapon I could conceivably choose is a cz 75, Colt Rail .45 acp, on .40 I'd say who needs a .40 when you have a 10 mm. On the .22 I'd get a .22 magnum Colt Trooper MK III It's very rare although I used to own one but had to sell it due to financial issues but it was the best .22 handgun I ever handled.

Wow, tough choices. I understand all except the Kahr. I have a PM9, good trigger (for a sub compact 9mm), but very difficult to reassemble and not sure about the reliability. Very, very difficult to reinsert the recoil spring. Also, kinda weird that when loading a new mag, the only reliable way to insert a round is by using the slide release.

wow surprised at your choices, last night i said i liked your taste in guns. i own a sig 238 equinox, after getting rid of a walther pk380 and a amt 380 backup. i also have the xdm 45, wanted a tactical handgun, after much research i choose this due to quality and higher profile slide like a sig p226 or p229, i know glocks are great guns but the fanboy following they have also steered me towards the xdm (im weird like that). my rev is a s&w 27-2 357 an old one, a gun shp wants it real bad!

My favotite would be the H&K .45. It's trigger pull is smooth as glass and it has the knock down power I want if I had to choose only one gun. Some say it could take care of a black bear but my .44 Ruger Redhawk is the gun I take in the woods. I have not decided on a "pocket" handgun but I will almost definitely go for a .380 caliber. However I am totally undecided as to it's manufacturer.

sig p238 is a FANTASTIC 380.. the trigger, the features. for a super compact carry thats my choice as well! Good choice with the xdm. I think its excellent, my 45 xdm is the 3.8 variety and i love it. my all time favorite from my collection. the Sig p226 tac ops model chambered in 40 s&w. great firepower 15+1, superb accuracy. and 2k rounds and counting with zero malfunctions. the sig p226 wins with a close runner up being the xdm 45 3.8
