Different as in his voice and appeareance changed completly? Keep in mind bro, James has been singing this stuff for twenty years, sure look at Ride the Lightening then compare it with the likes of Death Magnetic. The guy blew the shit of his voice. Still though, he's one of the best frontmen if not THE best of the past 20 years
