  • You don't know how many times I've seen this video and i still cry every time i watch it...people who have diabetes are just so strong. I wish they would find a cure.

  • I have the Omnipod and love it! You actually change the pod every 2-3 days, pitch it, and put on a new one. Better than 5 shots a day.

  • im scared im getting my pump!!!!!

  • @01crossfade dont be..i have an insulin pump ..its so much more convient then taking shots all the time

  • @01crossfade dont be scared put it this way i took 3 injections every day before the pump and now i only have to take one every 3 days and its alot less painful because you dont put it in slowly it shoots in really kwick and you can eat anything! ive had diabetees for 7 years and im 12 i got the pump last year its far better

  • hes right no 1 can feel what you feel i have it and none of my fam know what its like its upsetting

  • I agree totally. I have had tyoe 1 diabetes for 42 years since I was 8 years old. We have to educate people and defend ourselves.

  • Nick 75 percent of the peeps dont hav a clue.Keep fighting i hav been for 30 years life will go on.

  • I hate the jonas brothers but I do have respect for him to continue a career such as this one

  • when did he throw up on stage

  • He didn't. That was an unfortunate rumor. He experienced a low and treated it and for some reason that got interpreted to him having thrown up.

  • are you calebs mom??

  • awe i do not have diabetes but it does run in my family and he is a true inspiration for me and i look up to him in osoo many ways i love Nicholas Jerry Jonas with all my heart and supprot his battle against diabetes

  • "It's not that bad" -Nick J

only Nick can do that. he threw up on stage last ngiht cuz of his diabetes and he's just like "whatever, it's ok"

    he's amazing

  • @supportlilfrankiej when was this?

  • I have had diabetes since i was four, i was on MDI for about 19 years, then last year i finally got a pump (animas ping), i love this thing. imagine me hugging that puppy. because of the pump i have actually been able to fully appreciate a trip to disneyland. great now im going to cry. usually i go soo low that i have to stop completely and eat and watch everyone else get on the rides. not now yay.

  • i ma 17 and have type one diabeates and its a stuggle but its worth the fight and it good to know that even famous people put up with the some stuggles i do i love u jonas brothers nick your my role model

  • im getting the pump soon. im going to get the omnipod.... and rhinestone it!

  • Good luck! Sounds cool! Send pics!

  • Yeah..me too!!!!

  • I've been diagnosed with diabetes on Febuary 6th, 2009. At first they treated it as type one, but a month later they found out that I've had type II so now I started taking Pills, evetually I won't be needing insulin anymore. By the Way when I've been diagnosed my B.S. was like 400 Something.

  • okay, i know i will get like eighty billion thumbs-down on this, but i really wish people would stop marveling over the fact he has type one diabetes and how amazing it is that he's still thriving and all. i have type one, and so do many hundreds of thousands of kids across the country, and i feel like we dont get the support that he does, just because we arent famous, cute pop stars. just be aware that he's not the only one.

  • well, nick is trying to raise support for EVERYONE with type one not just himself. he gets so much support because he's famous but he doesn't ask for it.

  • That was WIN

  • Well when he was first diagnosed he was like who can I look up to who's got diabetes and there wasn't anyone so he decided to raise awareness and be the one to inspire and share his story. And no doubt it was tough when he was first diagnosed but he can talk about it and share it with so many people =)

  • I don't have diabetes, but I don't think I would ever be like him, he never gave up, I think it is hard enough to live a normal life with type 1 diabetes, so I imagine how hard it must be to live HIS life.

    Peace, Love, Nick Jonas <3

  • i cried the first time i saw this on disney channel.i cried!oh yeah.its just such a shock.cuz you would never expect it

  • i started crying when he was saying that everyone says "oh, i know what you're going through" but then they really don't unless you're the person. gah, this tears me up every time.

i don't have diabetes, but i hate how some people belittle it as it can be manageable. i hope they find a cure for all you diabetics out there.

    XO

  • i just cried, nick's such a hero :)

  • Okay, I don't have Diabetes or anything, so I can't relate. But nothing is gonna slow him down ever. I don't know how it feels, but I wish I did, It makes me cry the song, and we all know that Nick is gonna be fine and off of you other Diabetes sufferers out there...

  • I have type 1 diabetes to, and its nice that the omnipod came out, its helped me alot and i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on kevins birthday. in 05 it kind of shook my family, just like joe said it shook him and his family. Nick J is a good person to look up to. i met him and i had the same necklace as him but mine said joey cooper type 1 diabetes. i am saying that anyone who has diabetes, its going to be ok.

  • I met Nick Jonas last week for a Diabetes Breakfast!

  • We met him in August at a concert - it was great. He was quite attentive to Caleb when he heard he was a fellow Omnipodder. Joe and Kevin were equally kind! Lo

  • it makes my cry every time i hear it cause im also type 1 diabetic and i have guitar practice, piano, drums, voice, gymnastics, and dance but thats like NOTHING cause he gets like no sleep and that'll raise it a little well at least it did me cause i always stayed up til like 3 in the morning school or no school and I LOVE the people who made the omni pod cause it helped me A LOT cause i was checking it 12 times a day and Nick is a BIG inspiration to me and proable 100000 others THANK U NICK I LOVE U

  • Yup I agree the OmniPod delivers insulin! I am really happy to see the interest and awareness level going up with Diabetes. Thanks for putting this video together!

  • this is a great video. although, he says the pod gives him his insulin through his blood stream.. im pretty sure that the pod is a blood glucose monitoring device only. the insulin pump is what sends the insulin into your body to regulate those numbers. im a type 1 diabetic as well so i know mostly what im talking about, i watched it twice to make sure i wasnt confusing what he said.. any clue why this is off?

  • The Omnipod is not a CGM - it DOES deliver insulin. My son uses the Omnipod insulin pump, so I'm 100% certain! :)

  • aww! he is soooo sweet! great video! :) much respect!
