The canadian site for alienware is kinda sad when it comes to customizing, the i7 starts at $1599.99 although they have a sale right now so it only cost $1299.99
The G73SW and the m14x is basicly the same laptop. The G73SW is good for non portable good quality gaming. The m14x may be weaker but because of its slighty smaller screen, the quality looks that same. Also the m14x is good for portability. It all depednds what type of gamer you are. If you want to go portable, the m14x is for you. If your a house gamer and barely move around with your laptop but want quality, the Asus is for you. There both great so stop fighting.
People keep talking about these other laptops like the g73 etc cause they have better gpu's and are cheaper. 2 things, those things a fucking huge, and they have no fuckin battery life. People buy alienware for a reason. Superior build quality, looks, and a battery that actually lasts. Lets see, more mobility, and a 6 hour battery vs a 2 hour battery. That's well worth it to me.
I'm going for an Asus g74sx-A1. It just seems so much better! Bigger, nice looking, not to flashy and it has a fucking great video card! Actually I can't find any reason to go for the alienware... Expensive and not as good on any points. Who the fuck cares if people know what kind of pc you have? Rather have a good laptop than a well known super expensive one... Just my opinion :)
@Flash8Bro same here :) for $1300 dollars you can get a laptop with 1080p screen, a better video card...im not going to pay extra just so that people can recognize what laptop im using. i got the laptop for me, not for anyone else :)
@69guitarchick But keep in mind that I am a student and I need the smaller screen. So for $1300 its perfect for me. I thinks its ideal, and yes ofcourse the ASUS is a better deal, but this isn't about deals for me anyway. If your buying a computer to save money then yea sure go for the ASUS but if you have the extra coin, go for an alienware.
But again whatever suits your needs. I'm sure you faaaaarrr more intelligent then stupid old me!
@funboy1231 its all personal preference. i like screens that are at least 15in, and i actually have a laptop with this same video card, so the fact that its a downgrade from the 460m didnt matter to me either. anyways, im glad ur happy with ur laptop, and it was a good review :)

@OathForFew Did I say I was poor? I do live in Norway, the country with the best living standards in the world excluding some small sheikh-country and I got a PC more expensive than this. I just wanted to make a point; I don't want to pay too much to get something worth so much less! Therefore I'd go for the G74. Can you put a second hard disk drive into that laptop?
p.s. you can get a lower res screen in the cheaper Asus G73's which allows you to have higher performance.
