  • i'm voting for change and that's why i'm voting for Bob Schaffer...Udall's been in power way too long and appears now to be useless. be for the people and do what WE want!

  • Sarah Palin anyone?

  • That's a JOKE !!! No brain,that's why

  • bob needs a few notes, fine lol

  • I live in the CO district Schaffer represented in Congress. He is an ignorant, corporate whore.

  • "My campaign manager worked on some slogans and zingers, but I was too busy to memorize them. Can I just read them off a card?"

  • If I were hosting the debate, the only "notes" I would allow would be a pocket Constitution.

That should be enough notes for anyone.

  • I am a registered voter living in Colorado and Bob Schaffer will NOT be receiving my vote. My name is Bonnie and I approved this comment!

  • We all love you bonnie lol :)

  • The talent is knowing what you're talking about.

  • Thank you

  • This moron Schaffer should lose, simply because he's an idiot...

  • Trailer trash... nothing more.

  • Get the waaaaambulance! Like a kid wanting his cheat sheet!

  • Republicans have never been less competent. It's the Dubya effect. And it's everywhere!

  • ha! hilarious.

  • Why are all these Republican idiots in office? Who is/are handling these people?

  • McCoward SOLD US OUT in Nam! McKKKlan is a lying, cheating, scumbag! READ my page and LISTEN to the videos.

    McSHAME is a FUCKING BUM!!!

    GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!

    BANG! BANG!

  • I hope Udall wipes the floor with this baby.

  • what a Republican squid inking up the studio. Waaaaaaaaaa boor baby!

  • Whiney ass titty baby.

  • Typical Republican. ..trying to change the rules in the middle of the game.

  • Wasn't it Hilary Clinton trying to do the very same?? To her own party even.

  • I need notes because I don't want a Sarah Palin moment.

  • Watch this guy's appearance on "Meet the Press"

He is an awful human. This is exactly the type of person we need to get OUT of the senate. We certainly don't need yet one more "hannity-type," ignorant, bully boy in the upper-house.

The Dem in the race, Udall, on the other hand, seems like a thoughtful, intelligent, well-spoken, level headed leader. I would be proud to send him to the Senate.

Please Colorado! Do the right thing Nov 4!

  • This is not my Grandfather's Republican Party.... This is sad....

This Conservative is voting for Obama!!!

  • Whether it's good or bad to use notes, they both agreed in advance to not use them. Then at the last moment he raises a fuss and starts whining about the rules he agreed to in advance.

Just like conservatives to break the rules every chance they get. They really do have this sense of entitlement, a sense that somehow the rules the rest of us abide by don't apply to them.

Conservatism is the most damaging ideology to our country today.

  • "Just like conservatives to break the rules every chance they get. They really do have this sense of entitlement, a sense that somehow the rules the rest of us abide by don't apply to them."

Its not just conservatives...what about Hillary Clinton!? lol

  • GET THE F*** OUT OF THE WAY B****!!! Can't see.

  • armwrestle for it.

  • It's such a Democrat thing to let that slide.

  • what a loser.

  • How unprofessional can you get? Everyone knows it's not fair to make Republicans talk without a script.

  • It wasn't arbitrary. They both signed a letter that stated the rules, including that no notes would be allowed. If Schaffer needs notes at this point in the game, then he's an uniformed candidate. He should be able to clearly articulate what he stands for. If the voters like his stance on the issues, then he'll get their vote.

  • these pubs have been making an issue of entitlements for so long. its good to see rich whiney pubs highlighted for once who think the world should bend for them lol :)

  • Have followed Schaffer's political career for years -- I think he has always been a whine baby and this video just reinforces that. No skills, just a sense of entitlement. Go Udall!

  • THANKS FOR BLOCKING OUR VIEW

  • lol FAIL. You can't bring notes to a college level political science mid-term exam. Why should you be able to bring them to a political debate for the US Senate? I bet this guy was in a frat.

  • Wow, this is bad! Mr. Schaffer, if don't know the issues that you are debating...why are you running for the Senate? You are clearly not qualified for such an important office. Using notes is how Gov. Palin got elected to her governorship position. What's up with these Republicans? Are they all stupid?

  • "but...but, I don't *know* this stuff, you can't expect me to *know* about things..."

This is why you have agreements when you set up debates, they apparently agreed, they should have just said, you agreed, roll cameras. Ready or not.

  • 21-12: Reasoning is a learned skill, not a sheaf of papers. Do you know this Republican candidate well enough to know he can't make a point without notes? Or are you just projecting your own inadequacies onto him? If he agreed, he must have known he needed to prepare. That's life, if you agree to follow set rules and not cheat or ask for favors.

  • It's called a debate, you don't need notes. The whole point of it is to show the American people watching that you can speak well on the fly.

  • so you think you should have notes and you don't call the other guy an say lets use notes man show up wit notes cuz ima try to get him to let us use notes. how is it fair that only you have notes how is it a square deal that you agree to notes and tell nobody show up wit notes an wanna use em

  • No reason they shouldn't be allowed notes but I like the other guy saying, "Fuck you, I don't need notes, let's do this."

  • Comment removed

  • I know the polls say Udall is winning, but this should really cement it, right? Because of the Bush Administration, I think everybody is looking for leaders who adhere to the rule of law. Schaffer clearly is not one who understands such things, trying to bluster his way out of an agreement he already made.

  • Yes, there is a reason they shouldn't be allowed to use notes. Before the debate, they were both sent a letter laying out the rules, which they signed and sent back. The rules said, NO NOTES.

  • No notes because that was the agreement the campaigns came too. I agree, it was big of the other dude to say fine you can use your notes if you want.

  • NoteGate

  • NoteGate

  • Somebody please tell me how to get a Brazilian work visa?????????? Oi, vc pode ajudar-me? The Republicans have been kidnapped by pod aliens.

  • I actually do sort of agree that they should look at notes being allowed at debates. It would make for more factual statements, backed-rebuttals,= and easy access to lists of relevant policies the opponent supported, etc.

  • Agreed but they both signed papers saying no notes. It was nice of the Dem. to let the guy use his notes though.

  • Yeah. If the agreement was no notes, then I agree no notes should be allowed. But, in the future, it should be considered. ;)

  • Wait... so did Bob Schaffer actually get to have his notes because his opponent decided to be magnaminous (You just know Bob was thinking, "Yeah, sucker! Whining works!")? Because that's what it sounds like towards the end of this video.

  • I think everybody should have instant access to Wikipedia during the debate.

  • This will lead to Palin wanting to use books and the Internets at the podium in the '12 debates.

  • cool

  • While I partially agree with him, it is still funny watching someone whine about not being able to have notes.
