there are too much of "sync djs". Learn more how to be a dj because you arent a dj...

when u use virtual dj, you can see and match when the songs are going to be played together. I hope you know what i mean. Im talking about the two sound waves near the top of virtdj. One red wave and one blue wave, song 1 and song 2. But on traktor they dont have this thingy. So how do u know when and where the songs are going to collide?

@rowspt420 click the settings icon at the top right the one that looks like a cog then click deck details it should be the 15th option down in the preferences box on the left then switch deck size a and b and c and d from mini to full

whats the difference between using traktor and ableton or mixmeister for creating a mix?

@assais Basically using Traktor to detect volume differences between tracks in a mix, this method allows you to create smooth transitions between tracks in Ableton,Ableton Live is great for arranging your DJ mixes and doing creative re-edits of your tracks so each mix drops exactly the way you want it to. Ableton also allows you to EQ your mix, and then go back afterwards and draw in your EQ curves so they are perfect. Hope this helps :) x

@portcitysurge To me, Sync is kind of like what the invention of twin tip skis are to skiing. Twin tips made a skill (skiing backwards), much easier for those learning, and also allowed for more time to work on carving backwards, hitting jumps backwards, and so on. Am I angry at the new time-saving innovations of the sport? No, I use them myself. It progressed the sport, grew the industry, reduced the barriers to entry. Man, i cant even afford equipment to beat match with if i wanted to.

For vinyls what you do is monitor to beat match, and cue to the first beat of the incoming song as usual and as usual have the turntable in play mode and hold it and use the crossfader instead of the volume.

Just as you drop put your crossfader into the middle and start riding the pitch.

If you use virtual vinyl then cheat and get a kontrol x1 and hot cue it.

A few things that could cause static on speakers: bad cables, bad sound card, check your out put in preferences to make sure you have it set to the correct settings.

Also make sure your not clipping.

I'll do a quick vid to show you what I am talking about.

@DJTyres ummm i dont think im clipping? like im not clipping any tracks, these are all legit tracks. ummm i dont know if its my sounds card but it only has ever done this with traktor so im kinda confused. like i can play music anywhere else and there is no issue? its kinda like when the track came into traktor it got all distorted, you know? lol
