I, myself, i find this methode real another joke for fooling stupid people, so stupid that they need drawing stuffs, this is for people whit special needs. But i have to admit that a person whit a lot of free time and whit a clear mind can make it work. is much more easy to use dictionary and to practice every word in one simple sentence and afther that to eleborate, whitout drawing and mathematical help. Learning a language is an experience that can change your life or just make it more fun.
this would only for people like me, I speak Swedish but I havent done it in a while, thus I have "forgotten" some vocabulary. This will help me to practice and even learn new words. But to learn a new language from scratch with this tecnique... seems pretty impossible unless you wish to speak like a caveman....
Okay... I'm all for mind mapping, but honestly... If you're going to use youtube to sell language learning materials, at least make sure that you SPEAK the languages... I mean... Dude... Iv just finished the BOST Study Skills Handbook, and it explains this in total with his advised memory stuff and study methods. I could use it within 24 hours, I mean that quickly to remember things I hadnt even tried before. I got the book from the library, so it doesnt need to cost anything.
@OhWhatASleight I recommend the Book "Speed Reading" by Buzan, where he explains exactly: how to deal with a huge amount of information and WHAT to put on your mind-map, the remember everything...
@pdlsuper7 Non non non et puis non! T'as rien compris toi. Adorer c'est pas aimer bordel! C'est adorer c'est tout. En plus le point c'est que "j'aime" c'est pas "aimer" a' l'infini. Relis ce que j'ai ecrit au lieu de nous emmerder tous, d'accord?
mind maps are ok for some studying in school, sort of like making an outline, nothing more..def not of great help in learning a language..offcourse almost any technique is of some help but of great help,..no it is not...
get a good teacher n your learning wil become simple....tats wat i experience.........moreover we need memory for studies only not for whole life...so dont feel sad if u havnt very sharp memory
I have been graphic recording and mindmapping for 6 years now and that I have a great trust in the efficiency of mind mapping. Perhaps this could work for young people. Quite daunting for people who wants to learn a language fast though, they might find this boring specially if materials are not yet provided.

Mindmaps does show how your brain organizes information in different categories, however, Mindmaps are there to learn visually. As an auditory learner I find mindmaps effective to learn and memorize, but it just takes too long to colour and draw so that the mindmap is not monotonous, in another word: Boring.

hmm, spent years studying study methods... mind maps are great for somethings, but terrible for languages. The pimsleur method is by far the most effective.
Assimil is the best for learning Spanish because all the recordings are in the target language and the book has the language and your native language translations. You'll have to see a book to know what I mean. Check out ProfASAr.
Well, I do agree! I think you might as well learn the spanish of spain in this case. At any rate, I should think learning languages was always a critical issue for people! attending courses in spanish ought to be necessary and MIND MAPPAING is going to be sthg extra that can back one's learning spanish! or any language
Not a lisp on C everytime. The myth about the lisp is that the court of Spain adopted it so as not to embarrass the king, who had a lisp and it grew from that. But not true.
Ok, so far i think it´s an interesting use for learning a new language, but i can´t say it for sure. Hablo desde mexico, y por la ubicacion geografica he tenido que aprender a ser bilingue, nada mejor que practicando. Haciendote entender.
First of all, Everyone's brain works differently, some are more visual some more kinestetic (this would suck for them). And some HATE WASTING TIME BY COLORING PRETTY DIAGRAMS. =). They all seem to have the same shape, but this is supposed to mimic the way we think. Ideas may branch differently, different shapes etc in our mind, or may not be images at all, in which case sound would be needed. either way, this is lacking. But i guess its an attempt
man u dont get it. you loose 10x more time by writing all the useles fase, instead of colouring. and normal writing does not improve your creativity, memory and stuff like that.
get known a little bit better b4 u start writing such opinion! ur making ppl think wrong about the things
I back you up wey, everybody's brain works differently and it's up to you to discover the best way you can learn...only you can tell wheter if you are learning or not and only you can ddevelope better ways to improve. Yet I find that mind maping method kinda amusing and creative. Does it work for me? I gotta get taht to test
@Dynamics18 The thing that our brain learn easier are images, and there is a easy example: do you remember better the image of a word or better the image of the first gril/boy you kissed? That's it. Mind Maps try to create movement, color, and even emotions, so that you head can remember it.
@Dynamics18 Exactly, this is for visual learners. Kinesthetic learners don't use this at all. You want to learn this same material faster and more fully? TPR and also the only method that has real studies behind it.
And why is this method better then The Rosetta Stone application or pimsleur??? ... like we don't have an images, where i see innovation is to get the system of some nation ... for example if you think like German then you understand German easily...
What is far more tedious and time-consuming and less effective is trying to memorize a list of foreign-language words. Just try not to be van gogh and you'll be done sooner.
It lets you build things to associate words with, which helps in memorization, its an interesting concept at the very least. Just because it might not work for you doesn't mean it won't work for someone else.
I, myself, i find this methode real another joke for fooling stupid people, so stupid that they need drawing stuffs, this is for people whit special needs. 1) learning the worlds I can do on my own.
2) Learning grammar to use the word correctly is what I want to work on.
3) This isn't very helpful for my situation.
4) I need motivation.
Ex #2: Me Loved Eat Apple. (Doesn't really work does it?)
Grammar is the only problem I have, along with the motivation.
