Very nice and original hall placement. I have a couple of the same motors and am going to install halls in them as well. Both of them are going to my scooter :) 20Ah 64V A123 battery on it's way :)

17.14 degrees, Honeywell ss411a sensors.

I am working on the same type of system for my 5 inch gauge train. Can I ask, what is the startup smoothness like on a load?

I have a Turnigy 63-74 outrunner motor. For 60 degree hall sensors setup:
63mm x 3.14 = 197.82mm - 197.82 / 6 = 32.97mm - 32.97mm / 2 = 16.485mm between each sensor.
Is it right?
