Hey, can you connect a 4pin molex to 3pin MALE cable on this fan controller, or do I have to get a 4pin molex to 3pin FEMALE cable to connect it on the controller??

mate could you please tell me how i could hook up some cathodes to it? what wires would i need and does it come with any wires that are for hooking up cathodes?

Hey!

Sorry for the super slow response.

In the box it includes a wire that hooks up straight to the cathode inverter box.

how many of those wires does it come with ? also can you give me some details about the wire? how many pin to how many pin male female etc...

this controller comes with the wires for the cold cathodes i think.. thats what i read anyway

Oh yeah this controller is fantastic.. I can't even find any complaints besides the enclosure design and the red LEDS, but those are just aesthetic complaints.

Do you know if it's possible to switch the leds to different ones? I'm thinking of buying either positive or negative red - green leds but i don't know which one i should take. Nice review.

Hey man what would you say on the quality of this? I need to slow down a scythe ultra kaze 3000RPM and a Scythe Slipstream. I dont want this thing breaking on me any time soon, so has this lasted for you?

From it's appearance it definately looks iffy, but i've had mine running strong since.. running 8 fans on it and it hasn't stuttered once.

The performance is amazing.

I even put it in my customer builds.

I love it.

Does this mean that I can plug 3 fans on one channel as long as it adds up to less than 20W and 1.66 amps

That's correct, and remember that's PER Channel.

My config is as follows:

Channel 1: Front 3 Antec 1200 Fans

Channel 2: Back 2 Antec 1200 Fans

Channel 3: CPU Fan

Channel 4: Ram coolers

And i've seen others do similar with higher end fans.

Plan out what leads you're going to be using ahead of time and order the leads you need or you'll be like Xezmer and have to solder and extend all your cables

because im planning on getting 1200 and a fan controller

does it make that much of difference because the 1200 you can go low medium and high

As far as CFM it doesn't make a difference at all, but that's expected of all fan controllers, all this did for me seeing as the 1200 comes with controllers is making it easier to adjust rather go to the back and change the speeds, just remember when hooking the fans up that you leave the stock fan controllers at max so its just as any fan without one and then control it from the controller panel.

thers only 3 if you want more you have to sacrifice a fan
