I thought Burundi Black was brilliant but this is fantastic! I never knew drums could be played for long and so energetically as this! The video of the players shows how their music is from the heart and played with passion! Thank you Mike for nearly ten minutes of sheer pleasure
@erwin5us I am Rwanda too, and I am myself a Drummer , Excuse me but let me tell you that Burundians (Their Drummers) aren't better than us, Thou we are in cultural context, they can't be a best ... but I think than may be some one from the western cultures (Europeans) can be the best judges... so ask then.. and you will see.. Best regards Muvandimwe, ariko ntukadusebereze umuco rero ncuti!
Love it sooo much! It so original so natural, so moving... thx a lot for sharing it with us

I watch this time and time again
who saying africans a primitive?
who can play this from the heart anywhere
as casual and relaxed as these guys,
who are probably your
ordinairy baker and shoemaker
it's a real inspiration
hope to be a live witness to things like this in the near future
it will strengthen my heart

I'm a huge fan of African music but surely this fabulous performance is enough to move even the laziest ass to get on up and just party like hell!
Absolutely amazing rhythms from amazingly talented men.
Thank you so much for the video upload, otherwise I might have missed this.

I had the chance of seeing Rwanda and Burundi drummers in action when I visited both countries.
Although I was about the only white guy around on both occasions it was twice something I'll never forget.
Western drummers could learn a lot of these guys.
