She would like to hear from any of Rhett's fans or friends.. she does not get many calls today so drop her a line and say hello...Bill

  • RIP Mark sleep well mate

  • (R.I.P.) Mark Reale....

  • RIP both Rhett Forrester and Mark Reale. :(

  • Poor young Rhett, all he wanted was to smoke cigarettes, cause trouble in school, and wear an utterly ridiculous wig. Why won't they leave him alone?

  • Classic Metal is the best !!

  • Ok, let's step back in time, we are in 1983, ahh ahh, this is the best singer that has had RIOT, is a hero of the metal

  • Land of the free. Yeah, land of the free power to do stripsearch in the ass of the people. So brazilian bands sing this stupidity for market access. The capitalist world is fucking.

  • Awesome classic heavy metal, it doesn't get better than this. Glad that my dad raised me on metal and rock.

  • RIP,RHETT.

  • greetings from Chile. dont worry, there are many people in all the world who like REAL MUSIC like this, not the crap of nowadays, i hope "reggeaton" ( the local hip-hop like south american fashion ) doesn't arrive to USA or rest of the world

  • Most under-rated band and GUITARIST- Reale!!! Still get pumped when I hear these guys play......

  • Hell yeah, Riot!!! True classic Metal!!

  • HOLY FUCKIN SHIT!!!!!!

    RIOT RULE!!!!

    RIP RHETT

  • Seen Riot several times with different line ups and they have always Blown the Roof of the venues!!!!!!!!!!

  • @adolph3667 I was fortunate growing up in San Antonio in the 80's with so many great metal bands it was always a rocking time bands and party's every weekend and offcourse listening the best D.J.in the Rock World The late Great The Godfather Joe Anthony.......may he rest in peace .....Rock on Joe............Shine On RIOT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jeez, could you PLEASE delete that annoying chink from the beginning?

    TORCH!!! ROCK ON!!!!

  • I AGREE..THE MUSIC KIDS TODAY LISTEN TOO SUCKS ASS!!!.,, I WAS THERE

IN THE 70S AND 80S...IT WAS SO FUCKING AWESOME...I MISS IT SOOOO MUCH

IM 45 ALSO..CLASS OF 83'...THERES NO TRUE TALENT IN MOST SO CALLED BANDS NOWDAYS...RAPPERS ARE THE WORST...IT TAKES ZERO TALENT TO

MAKE A BEAT ON A DRUM MACHINE AND COME UP W/ SHIT THAT RHYMES..

SOME DONT EVEN MAKE THERE OWN BEATS..THEY [SAMPLE]..RIP OFF OTHER PEOPLES STUFF...THEN THERES ALL THESE WHITE KIDS ACTING BLACK...WHAT THE FUCK!!!

  • @mrspeed1965 I'm a kid today and I hate the CRAP that my generation listens to. I'd rather listen to bands like Riot than garbage like Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and such. I too cannot stand wiggers, they think that they are black but they are not.

  • If I were stranded on a deserted Island with a electric guitar, amp and one album it would be RIOT fire down under. we need to get the kids rockin to this stuff again! the rest of the world still rocks and we,the ones "Born in America" listen to shit.open yer eyes you punk ass bangers and "rock on".

  • I didn't know they made a video for this.sweet.thanks for sharing

  • epic sound quality xD

    ...but who cares :D

  • true heavy ! FUKC SLIPKNOT!

  • kind of sounds like quite riot/wasp kind of well thast what it reminds me of eather way tho killer track long live heavy metal

  • Comment removed

  • I was 19 when I bought this killer album. Would not trade that for anything in the world, yeah it sux being 45 now but I was there in the 80z and it was the best. RIP Rhett Forrester as you were a truly underated killer vocalist. Long Live Mark Reale. ThunderSteel era RIOT in 2010 with Tony Moore!

  • with bloodstreets these are my fav riot themes

  • This was one of my favorite albums back in the day...still is!

  • So happy to have been a teenager in the 80's.

  • The very essence of rock and roll lives on in this song!

  • cool song

  • Grrreat band. Saw them around '85 or '86, I think at Santa Monica Civic. Maybe the Troubador though. I remember the knuckleheads from Ratt were there watching. They were lucky they did'nt play that night. Reale rips and you can actually understand the lyrics. Those were the days..hahahhha..

  • Dont you wish your kid could grow up this way? HEHH!! Get him another cigarette and ROCK ON RIOT!!

  • cool!

  • MOST UNDER-RATED BAND OF ALL TIME!

  • You couldn't have been more right on! Where are they from? Seen em open for KISS in 84, and blew me away!

  • They are from New York City. But such a loss to the music world, both singers Guy Speranza and Rhett Forrester have passed. Guy died from cancer, and Rhett was killed tragically by being in the wrong place at the wrong time and was shot and killed while shopping in a conveince store while it was being robbed in Atlanta.

  • @66Childintime Agreed, along with Saxon!

  • man i hear this way back in the day. never heard it again. what like 30 yrs later sittin here hummin " just the sound of steel"!! type in youtube, bam here it is. love it

  • I think this album simply kicks ass!! TS "I wanna rock" (both song and the album) is commercial stuff if compared with RIOT "BORN IN AMERICA".

  • THe poormans version o\ Twisted Sister's "I wanna Rock"......Great song and RIP Rhett...

  • Greatness is never forgotten!! Riot was and will always be one of the best for american metal!!

  • Badass fuckin tune!!!!! I never get tired of this song. Guarenteed to get the blood pumping. The shots of the band rockin out still hold up today. Rhett and Mark ruled.

  • Great band. Props to all that served. All the boys that played in this legendary band. Especially Guy and Rhett.

You will live in my heart forever.

  • this is craig im trying to find todd and angela smith jack starr jonathan grell mark rick myspace cdeanaintdeadyet

  • is the kid at the beginning supposed to be Rhett as a kid?

  • While Guy is and always will be a great vocalist( FIRE DOWN UNDER IS THE SHIT) , i just like Rhett better, i mean how can you not hear that scream at 0:23 and get pumped up . This is just a bad ass song sung by a bad ass named Rhett Forrester......BORN IN AMERICA!

  • fuck yeah!!!! i was born in america!!!!

  • no riot made like 4 or 5 videos blood stereets is teh most famous

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe this is the only video the great Riot ever made.

  • Great band but they were marketed horrible. This video is one example...it was cheesy for even then. I LOVE RIOT though - to me that album was every bit as good as Defenders of the Faith, Headhunter or Stay Hungry.

  • Explain to me man -- how is this video cheesy???

  • Doesn't seem cheesy at all to me.

  • OH, THE POWER!!! Let us all vow to bring this music back mainstream as it once was, and shall be again. AMEN! RIOT ON!!!

  • Saints.

  • Riot was tuff.

  • God, what the hell happened? Is it just me or does it seem like music has lost everything that ever made it great? Bands like this told stories...the songs were about something...and the attitude was undeniable. It's all changed, and gone. I listen to the radio now and I'm serious-there is nothing worth my attention. It's souless and shallow and gay. The 80's really were the best of times and thank god I was there to witness that unforgetable decade.

  • Gallant, this album (Born in American), is already much more MTV-Friendly.. Check out the albums Burn Down Under (1981) and specially Narita (1979), and then come here again to say if Riot IS or ISNT in Van Halen's league.

  • cfx5000? your comments crack me up. These chumps are no way in Van Halens league. They sound like any club band in the fucking 80's.

  • Do yourself a favor and start listening to Riot. Respond after you've educated yourself, worm.

  • Guitar wise I think Mark Reale might be at or beyond Van Halen's level. Listen to beginning of the song Nightbreaker or some of the stuff off of Privelige of Power if you can get past the awful intro's.

  • I remember thinking Bruce Springsteen ripped them off..

  • Springteen originally planned to name his album "Born In America" but Riot had just released this album a short time before, therefore, he changed the title to "Born in the USA.

  • very good band.

  • RIOT with RHETT or RHETT with RIOT?

  • I bought this on vinyl the week it came out. I played the hell out of that album. Way underrated band.

  • Hell yeah!! Riot kicks ass. I remember see them on this tour and it rocked! I forget who the we're opeing for (dead brain cells). I miss this band!

  • One of the greatest American bands that have ever lived. I put them up right there with DLR Van Halen, The Doors, The Eagles..

  • I agree with you brother.RIOT RULES with RHETT!!!

  • SO LEARN THE DAMN LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!

  • the name of the album is born in anerica

  • Anyone know what album this track is from? I've got Restless Breed(Rhett kicked ass on that one).I figure it has to be somewhere around that album.

  • It's on 'Born in America'

  • The album is "Restless Breed"

  • Born In America followed Restless Breed

  • Sandy Slavin is great drummer.

  • Rhett forrester was a legend. god bless his soul

  • To bad American kids fuckin suck dick these days with their damn EMO and Rap music. lol I wish I was a teen or 20 year old in the 80s Im 20 years old now and I hate the music of this fucked up generation. This is real heavy metal.

  • me too I'm 24 now but wish I could have done the 80s high school thing. My high school was boring as hell.

At least I got some white hitops I wear sometimes, I don't care what people say about me trying to be retro.

  • i totally agree with u man, im 20 n i fucken hate how america is now. wut happen to the good ol true rock n roll. i notice ur into w.a.s.p. im a huge fan.

  • @Wasp1984 I was 20 in the 80s, and nobody listened to Riot then, either, although they outclassed almost every other band out there.

  • Underrated band. Like their stuff with guy sperenza better though

  • Riot rules!!! God bless Rhett.

  • If anyone has more of Rhett Forrester or Riot with him please post

  • Fuckin' FFFFFFlashbacks!!!!!!!!!

  • NOSTALGIA OF MY TEENS YEARS IN THE 80s
