Would it be safe to feed a turtle live tubifex worms? They kind of remind me of some sort of weird parasite so I dunno if that'd be ok. I got interested in them after seeing the tubifex sewer video. I know people feed them to fish and crustaceans so I didn't know if a turtle was any different.
I checked after and it was 2.5 times, so I measured my map turtle and his carapace is 6 inches, so at a water depth of 11 inches in a 4' by 2' by 2' tank my ratio is at 1.9, too low, I guess I need to fill the tank some more and practice what I preach, thanks for triggering the check up
thanks for the reply. i actually have 4 comet goldfish ( largest 3 inches) and 1 fantail goldfish. would you think it is better to feed them on the tubifex worm blocks you can get for now. if so how many cubes and how often?
how often should you feed a comet and a fantail goldfish (largest 3inches) a tubifex worm, is it daily or like a treat once in a while. and how many at a time. thanks
Thanks for the vid. You obviously want to take good care of them and have a good set up, but the water is too deep for the size they are, I think it should work out no higher than one and half times the length of the carapace,do a bit of research and check that out, but it is something like that
Do the oscar and turtles co-habitat well? I guess a stupid question. I'm thinking about ideas for setting up my tank (I'm moving to a new house that will allow me to do it). Does anyone have some ideas or good websites?
my turtles love them

I have 4 red-eared slider turtles and they HATE tubifex worms! they prefer waxworms and bacon.

dude you cant feed them bacon. Its to fatty for their digestive system.

The mount for the lamp isn't the best type to have around water.
