This solution is ok but you can buy essentially the same thing already made( Avalon Organics, Vitamin C Renewal Facial Cream). I was buying cream at a high-end department store was tired of paying $60 for 2 oz. So, I tried this cream and love it -- great feel on the skin, minimizes my wrinkles better than the $60 cream. Smells yummy. you can get it at iherb.com plus $5 off for first time buyers promo code UCI167 cost me $13 plus 2 for shipping better than making it your self and alot safer.
I pulled myself together and ordered the vit c. it was very hard to find pure L ascorbic but i found this brand Solgar who make Vitamin C chrystals ( pure L ascorbic) just a tip for everyone...
I have this on my face right now, and will get back to you about the result :)
The "little dish" is called a ramekin. That said, thank you for sharing your knowledge and time with us. You instructions are very clear, and your voice is soothing and calming. Namaste.
Also, Is your skin supposed to feel a bit sticky after the treatment has dried/sunk into your skin? Is this a sign that the non-iodized water kept the solution from getting assimilating into the skin?
Your skin is AMAZING. Not a spot on it (that I can see)! Do you think doing this treatment helped you get such flawless looking skin? I have fair skin and have a lot of hyper-pigmentation around my nose and chin. I hope this treatment helps with that (I used regular bottled water, though, because I forgot to get ionized water at the grocery. But it seemed to sink into my skin fine).
I've done this exactly as you said with the same amount of powder as you but never feel any kind of stinging or anything whatsoever. Do you think I should use slightly more powder?
@sweetdiosa90 You don't have to feel stinging or tingling, you'll still be getting the benefits. It's better for you that it doesn't sting, but if you want to add a touch more and see how that works - go ahead. Just go gradually and will little amounts : )
@AuraDeLaCruz It does sound scary, but it's not at all or I would not recommend it. It is perhaps not for everyone. But it beats using expensive Vitamin C creams or salon facial treatments/surgical peels for me. It's for specific skin needs : )
@daisynation I might consider trying this after all but i have a few questions :)
You mentioned in another video that you should boil the water every time for a better effect. Do you use it hot or let it cool?
Im 27 but i have wrinkles due to my dry skin and previous lack of skincare, have pale, quite dry and a bit sensitive skin but i really feel like i need more exfoliation than I'm getting. I suffer from milia witch i get removed and clogged pores, maybe this will help clear my skin? thank you
@khonviktoria Whenever I feel my skin needs a boost. Once very two weeks or once a month. It's up to you, but I wouldn't use it more than three times a week and don't forget to use suncreen : )
@daisynation I am 46 and have a super good skin..no wrinkle or such. but it's getting a bit saggy... started on sunday, 20 minutes a night, as a sos treatment, now i will go 3 times a week. It workes wonders ON ME. COMPLET CHANGEMENT IN LESS THAN A WEEK!!!!!
@daisynation yeah i over plucked the ends lol i've been lazy but i heard applying castor oil to it may help it grow back so i'll try that eventually. :)
@daisynation Try castor oil, rogaine or latisse/careprost on the eyebrows. I started using castor oil three weeks ago and they are growing again and quite fast.
Well Im not a girl...lol..but, The only C powder I have found is the L-Ascorbic acid that also has calcium, magnesium and potassium. When i mix in the water, it fizzes b/c the Ascorbic acid has a pH of 2-3.5. This is one of the properties that allow it to pentrate the skin. But, the powder I have is a little grainy so rubbing it on feels rough and irritates my face. The sediment is probably the Ca+. What is the ingredients on your V C bottle? please
HI!! :) I was just wondering how many times maximum can I use this treatment weekly since I have sensitive & dry skin. & for how long do i leave this on or is it a over night treatment??
hi there, u'r very pretty. can you use vitamin c pills (pricked) instead of the powder? do you have to mix that with distilled water as well, or can you apply it directly from the pill on the skin? x
So, I just tried this serum but the ascorbic acid powder is sort of just istting on my skin. It feels as though the water evaporated elaving behind a layer of powder on my skin. I did use distilled water, so do you knwo what could have gone wrong?
@abmnik This usually happens if you haven't allowed the powder to dissolve well enough, so try rolling and stirring the liquid until there are no crystals visible, and the water is totally mixed with the powder. You may have used a little bit too much powder as well if it hasn't dissolved well.
You mention a Japanese mask thing ... can you provide more info about that? I've been developing something similar I call "skin soak" and any info you can provide would be tremendously appreciated.
@davea0511 Thanks for your advice, very helpful. But everything I've been told is that it has to be L-Ascorbic Acid, so I'm going to stick with that. This probably the mask I meant : Anti-AgeingRosewater BIOAntiage Face Masks from Amazon
@daisynation Thanks for the info on the mask. We are incidentally in complete agreement on L-Ascorbic Acid being best ... and now it seems manufacturers are realizing that calling plain old Vitamin C by it's scientific name produces greater sales. For example, the NOW FOODS brand calls their Vitamin C powder L-Ascorbic Acid (which it precisely what it is), which is a small fraction (1 lbs for $20) of what other's charge for the exact same thing. Try googling NowFoods l-ascorbic for more info.
FYI ... L ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid are the same thing. Checkout wikipedia for more info. Ironically enough, it's both the most cheap and most bio-available type of vitamin C possible. I buy the nowfoods brand - 3lbs container.
If you have sensitive skin you can still do this, but add baking soda to the mix up to 1:1 (at 1:1 it becomes SodiumAscorbate which is pH neutral). The SodiumAscorbate is good to put near your eyes (won't sting). Pure acid is best though. Both are skin wonders.
@armendfresh16 Sorry i haven't used those products. I do like Shiseido products though. A toner I like is the Olay Age Deying Toner and Lush Eau Roma Water.
@victoriaone I'm sure they're a reciper for toner using distilled water - which is what battery top up water is, just under a different name. Don't know of any but I'm sure if you Google it you'd find a toner recipe with distilled water.
Thank you for this video. I am out of vit E and wanted to know if I could use wheat germ oil? Also, can ascorbic acid be used instead of L ascorbic acid?
@faffibo You must wear suncreen because the Vit C effectively "burns" (although very gently) away the top layer of dead skin cell. So the skin revealed is fresh, new and very vulnerable to sunlight. You need the extra protection against the sun on that new skin.
@faffibo If that happened - the white patches drying on the skin - the Vit C hasn't fully dissolved into the water so it needs to be stirred/shaken until it's totally clear. I'm not sure about the concentration/percentage, this is just my method and it works for me. Let me know if need any more help : )
Thank goodness I found this video! I was thinking of buying a vitamin C cosmetic product, but after seeing this I might save a few bucks! I have a question, is it alright if you can mix vit C and E powder together and apply it to the face? Or is it better to do them seperately? Thank you so much! And it is not an ugly sight at all, your skin is flawless =D
@kyoshix3 Thank you very much, so kind of you! : )) I hope I can save you a few bucks! If you're using Vit C and E powders then you can mix them. I generally use a Vitamin E serum to provide the Vit E because it gives that extra moisture and nutrients sinking effectively into the new, fresh skin : )
@daisynation Oh you're very welcome =D!!! And thank you for the reply! I'm really excited to try this! Um, I have one more question if you don't mind. Can I use this method on other parts of the body? Like arms, elbows and knees? Thank you again!
@nabilaomari But it has to be the L- Ascorbic, the L before the name is all-important. If your bottle has L-ascorbic acid written on the ingredients, thats perfect. If you're not sure, check with your Holland and Barret store : )
hi thanks for the video, can i use filtered water, i cant find distilled water in canada and why should i avoid any pimples, your answer will be much apreciated
@TheDesertRose12 You should be able to find distilled water somewhere, many beauty supply websites sell it. It is also called DeIonized Water and Battery Top Up Water, which you can get from car shops like Halfords. Avoid pimples because it with burn and irritate them : )
Hey is it ok, if you use pure vitamin c powder from the G&G as i cannot find ( l asrbic acid)? will that be fine ? and i have tried to find distilled water but i cannot find it anywhere, do you know where i can buy it ?
i purchased skinceuticals c&e serum but once i finish the bottle i will be trying this. how long have you been using this vitamin c on your skin and is it ok to add vitamin e oil to it?
@calberkeley01 I've been using it for about 18 months now, I wouldn't add Vit E Oil to the Vit C mixture, but apply it after you have the treatment on :))
@nekophia Most of the products are in the decription box. The Battery Top Up Water was from Harrods, the Simple moisturiser is avaiable in most chemists and supermarkets in the UK and I cant remember where I got the Banana Boat Aloe Vera but any Aloe Vera gel will do ; )
Hi, you must avoid every pimple completely, don't let any drips fall near spots either. Ideally don't do it when you have breakouts. You can get Vit C Powder in Holland and Barrett. Hope it goes well ; ))
Im so glad I am watching all your videos, and came across this one. I have done so much research concerning Vit.C serums, from high expensive, like SkinCeuticals to mid-priced like Vichy. I have even talked to chemists, and this is the best solution. Because even the expensive ones, the Vit.C will not stay stabilized after a while, this is the perfect alternative :-)
@luv2luv77 I think it's the best way too. The effective pre-packaged ones are so pricey at the moment until the technology improves and trickles down the market. Thanks for you lvoely comments xoxo
Hello, At 4:41 you said that vitamin C powder is strong. What do you mean strong? do you mean it is heavy on skin and annoying? or irritate the skin? or cause the skin to go dull (reverse of what it suppose to do!)?
@UORA75 I mean it's strong as in acidic. It's strong in the sense that if you have delicate, sensitive skin be careful and use a weak solution, building yourself up because it can irritate and it stings : )
can I just use spring bottled water that you find in stores? Also, the Vit C powder I have contains: Calcium ascorbate and Sodium ascorbate (equivalent to 1.245g and 936mg ascorbic acid respect.) Rutin, Quercetin, Citrus Bioflavanoids. Are these ingredients ok?
You mentioned in the video if you did it in the morning you would wipe the vit. E off with Aloe Vera, so if it was night would you add your moisturizer to finish off and go to bed without wiping anything off?
@sabellabu No, I'm afraid it has to be distilled or de-ionized or battery top-up water (all the same thing). I'm not a chemist so I couldn't say whether those ingredients are ok, but if they're on the market from a reputable seller then they're safe for human usage. I wipe off the Vit C treatment in the morning because i usually want to apply makeup. At night I leave it on, apply moisturiser and leave it on overnight.
very useful infos but I have one doubt... I understand that vitamin E is not possible to absorb in the skin without chemically brake it first info molecules or something so that it could have the full effect?
@srnica I don't believe that is the case, it's widely used in skincare from high-end to low-end brands. Vitamin E's very well absorbed into the skin and very nourishing : )
@dedushka102 Thank you, so kind! No, you can't mix it with Vit A + E cream because it wouldn't dissolve plus it's a very unstable thing to work with, it would stop being effective in 24 hours plus another chemical in the cream may react with it and give unknown results. Hope that helps dear : )
@2622Valerie1 Hi there, in regards to your question about this Vit C treatment, yes is has to be Distilled Water. You can't use jojoba oil or vitamin oil. The form of water that you should use (Distilled) is also often called Deionized Water or Battery Top Up Water. Hope that resolves your issues, have a great week! : )
Daisy, TQ for the reply. :) I've tried it for a few days now. Too early to say how it is for me, but so far so good. I thought of mixing it with cocoa butter. Would it lose its potency that way?
@sultanahullera I wouldn't mix cocoa butter into the vit c/water mixture, no, but you could always apply cocoa butter after application as a moisturiser. HTH! : )
@nature08 Yes I frequently leave it on overnight under my moisturiser, it allows it to work even harder. I would say though to use an old pillowcase when you use this because the vit c will turn it orangey brown as it reacts with oxygen. You could use this everyday but it's best to leave it to at least every other day as this gives your skin chance to regenerate and won't be too harsh, you could weaken the solution though (put less vit c in) ; )
Firstly, I love your lips :) Secondly, thank you for the video. Is there any difference to your skin before and after you started doing the DIY vitamin c treatment?
I'm really not trying to be mean, but really just out of curiosity, were you born with not that many eyebrow hairs or is it because of over plucking or shaving etc...
I don't know you really and just stumbled on this video by coincidence and just wanted to ask...
Well done you for going bare faced too, I for one certainly appreciate it. Brilliant video. I bought a pure vit e oil for when I do my at home vit c serum but it's reaaaally gloopy. I tried mixing a drop or two in with my vit c solution but it didn't mix, so have to thin it out with my facial oil after. Thanks so much for this fantastic video. xxx
@dianeuk01 No probs, and thanks Diane! Yeahthe Vit E oil would be at the moisturising stage. The Champneys is about ten-fifteen pounds? But Champneys are quite often on really good deals at Sainsburys xoxo
@daisynation Thanks for all the info Daisy, really helpful.. Next time I'm in Sainsbury's I'll take a look, hopefully with the festive season they will have some festive sales! :-)
This is a great video. I followed your steps as to putting the L-ascorbic acid with just a distilled water solution. But I think I have to increase the L-ascorbic acid compared to your dosage because I do not feel any sting, just very weak tingling sensation. So I put almost 1/4 tsp using my measuring device and I notice it crystallizes on my face when it dries up. Any clue to why this happens? Sometimes it doesn't and gets absorbed well and a few times it did.
@casspast Thank you - I'm so glad you tried it! You did well to improvise and increase the amount, you can go up to 1/2 a teaspoon of L-A Acid in a teaspoon of water. You can even work upwards if you can tolerate it. I think it's crystallising because you are not getting every crystal to dissolve in the mixing dish. The solution needs to be completely clear and free of particles, I think that's why it crystalises on your face. Hope that helps and good luck! : )
Hi, love your videos as always. I was wondering if you could recommend two inexpensive things for me?! One would be a topcoat nail polish and the second a mascara. I have a small budget so please keep that in mind with the suggestions. As for the mascara i like black and one that isn't to hard to clean off. Thanks a million.
Daisy!! Bless your heart!! You are anything BUT ugly!!! My goodness, your skin is lovely, and your beauty is evident even without the beautiful makeup! Thank you so much for this-you are kind to share your secrets.
First of all, let me just say how brave I think you are for doing this video! You look great. I get glycolic peels & once a year, I get a TCA peel....talk about painful...whew! But I definitely want to try this one! I wonder how uncomfortable it is in comparison to a 70% AHA peel...hmmmm. I'll have to try it out. But like you said...."no pain, no gain". Great job!
@gokellie Thank you Kellie, I needed a valium, no just kiddin!! I'm sure it's no where near as painful as that, the things we do for vanity! I may chat you up one day about those peels if thats ok, love Daisy xx
I meant to ask you put in the description box ; "I do this at my own risk" what exactly are the risks? Is there any really bad after effects that can occur?
@WitYeOan Well, you are putting an acid on your skin. Acid can burn your skin. The levels I use here are weak, low levels of the acid so unlikely to cause major harm on normal healthy skin. Used in larger quantities you can imagine you will be in trouble. If you have sensitive, broken, blemished, reactive skin you may well experience after effects - irritation, redness, itching, raw patches, scarring etc.
@iluvpenguins007 I haven't tried it myself yet but you can combine it with Glycolic Acid. Glycolic Acid is an AHA, a chemical exfoliant that will work with the Vit C to remove dead skin cells. It's also helps lock in moisture.
@farhananilam I'm sorry you're suffering so badly with your skin. I would recommend this Vitamin c treatment combined with a product with Salycylic Acid. A lot of Anti-Blemish skin products have Sal Acid in them. There is a good toner from Clean and Clear, it works great at generating new skin and clearing out the pores. It dissolves the gunk that is plugged in your pores causing spots and brings new skin cells to the surface, helping any scarring. Olay Anti-aging toner is a mild SA toner.
It is NOT an ugly sight at all - you're beautiful with and without makeup - but I admire your courage to face any criticism go bare faced on YouTube! Thanks so much for this great, informative video!
I really want to try this. I LOVE doing at-home facials, masks, and all of that DIY stuff. So feel free to do more of these types of videos...I'm sure you've got a couple up your sleeve :-)
You have beautiful skin! Have you ever used tretinoin products? I have to alternate between vit.c and tretinoin-if I try to use both I get much too exfoliated and dry. Have made no decision about which one I think is better. xoxo jan
@daisynation I have used Atralin, Retin-A Mico, generic Retin-A and Renova. Renova is the one in a cream based vehicle & supposed to be less drying-I did not find any difference between gel & cream base. I am currently using Atralin 0.05% and there is a lower dose one 0.025%. I lean toward tretinoin use as it is the only anti-aging product with much real science behind it & that does impact the epidermal layer of the skin. xoxo jan
@Catalina031 Thanks - is the Atralin a tretinoin then? If so I will try and get it but the UK has strict rules on retinoids. It's difficult to get proper retinoids to my knowledge.
@daisynation Atralin is indeed a tretinoin. I have an online place to purchase that requires no prescription and to my knowledge will ship anywhere. Allergan has been trying to prohibit them from selling the generic Latisse and the tretinoin but so far they are winning the war :) I will pm you the link and info if you would like.
i'm still in shock that this is your actual skin without any foundation or anything. its absolutely remarkable, daisy. if this is what it takes to get skin like yours, i'm so in. and you're a lucky woman to look so stunning without makeup on. don't hate on yourself like that please!! xoxo :)
@manicmaquillage Hi girl! How are you? I love seeing you've commented : ) Oh, you are too kind. It's not remarkable up close believe me. Thanks for always being so lovely to me <3333 XOXO

@oasisdiva1 I think Wheatgerm Oil may be fine. It does have do be L-Ascorbic Acid.

If I can't find vit. C powder can I just use a vit. C tablet and crush it into powder form?
cheapcharlie13 8 months ago
@alesandrah Hi there - glad you're enjoying my channel! Unfortunately I can't do a video on botox or restylane because I haven't ever used them.
daisynation 8 months ago
@faffibo You must wear suncreen because the Vit C effectively "burns" (although very gently) away the top layer of dead skin cell. So the skin revealed is fresh, new and very vulnerable to sunlight. You need the extra protection against the sun on that new skin.
daisynation 8 months ago
@faffibo If that happened - the white patches drying on the skin - the Vit C hasn't fully dissolved into the water so it needs to be stirred/shaken until it's totally clear. I'm not sure about the concentration/percentage, this is just my method and it works for me. Let me know if need any more help : )
daisynation 8 months ago
Thank goodness I found this video! I was thinking of buying a vitamin C cosmetic product, but after seeing this I might save a few bucks! I have a question, is it alright if you can mix vit C and E powder together and apply it to the face? Or is it better to do them seperately? Thank you so much! And it is not an ugly sight at all, your skin is flawless =D
kyoshix3 8 months ago
@kyoshix3 Thank you very much, so kind of you! : )) I hope I can save you a few bucks! If you're using Vit C and E powders then you can mix them. I generally use a Vitamin E serum to provide the Vit E because it gives that extra moisture and nutrients sinking effectively into the new, fresh skin : )

@daisynation Oh you're very welcome =D!!! And thank you for the reply! I'm really excited to try this! Um, I have one more question if you don't mind. Can I use this method on other parts of the body? Like arms, elbows and knees? Thank you again!

hey is vitamin c powder same as l-ascorbic acid ? i found vitamin c powder from holland and barret.. would that be ok to use ?
nabilaomari 8 months ago
@nabilaomari But it has to be the L- Ascorbic, the L before the name is all-important. If your bottle has L-ascorbic acid written on the ingredients, thats perfect. If you're not sure, check with your Holland and Barret store : )

TheDesertRose12 8 months ago
@TheDesertRose12 You should be able to find distilled water somewhere, many beauty supply websites sell it. It is also called DeIonized Water and Battery Top Up Water, which you can get from car shops like Halfords. Avoid pimples because it with burn and irritate them : )

@nabilaomari Hi, it needs to be L-Ascorbic Acid powder. The L is what important. I got my water from Harrods as Battery Top Up Water : )

i purchased skinceuticals c&e serum but once i finish the bottle i will be trying this. how long have you been using this vitamin c on your skin and is it ok to add vitamin e oil to it?

Because even the expensive ones, the Vit.C will not stay stabilized after a while, this is the perfect alternative :-)
luv2luv77 10 months ago
@luv2luv77 I think it's the best way too. The effective pre-packaged ones are so pricey at the moment until the technology improves and trickles down the market. Thanks for you lvoely comments xoxo

Can we use plain vitamin c?
charlottesification 10 months ago
@charlottesification How do you mean plain? What form do you mean?
daisynation 10 months ago
Hello, At 4:41 you said that vitamin C powder is strong. What do you mean strong? do you mean it is heavy on skin and annoying? or irritate the skin? or cause the skin to go dull (reverse of what it suppose to do!)?
UORA75 10 months ago
@UORA75 I mean it's strong as in acidic. It's strong in the sense that if you have delicate, sensitive skin be careful and use a weak solution, building yourself up because it can irritate and it stings : )

Hi
can I just use spring bottled water that you find in stores? Also, the Vit C powder I have contains: Calcium ascorbate and Sodium ascorbate (equivalent to 1.245g and 936mg ascorbic acid respect.) Rutin, Quercetin, Citrus Bioflavanoids. Are these ingredients ok?
You mentioned in the video if you did it in the morning you would wipe the vit. E off with Aloe Vera, so if it was night would you add your moisturizer to finish off and go to bed without wiping anything off?
Thanks!
sabellabu 11 months ago
@sabellabu No, I'm afraid it has to be distilled or de-ionized or battery top-up water (all the same thing). I'm not a chemist so I couldn't say whether those ingredients are ok, but if they're on the market from a reputable seller then they're safe for human usage. I wipe off the Vit C treatment in the morning because i usually want to apply makeup. At night I leave it on, apply moisturiser and leave it on overnight.

very useful infos but I have one doubt... I understand that vitamin E is not possible to absorb in the skin without chemically brake it first info molecules or something so that it could have the full effect?
srnica 11 months ago
@srnica I don't believe that is the case, it's widely used in skincare from high-end to low-end brands. Vitamin E's very well absorbed into the skin and very nourishing : )

You look great and beautiful) Can you pls tell me whether i can mix the vit c powder with my A+E cream? thank you)
dedushka102 1 year ago
@dedushka102 Thank you, so kind! No, you can't mix it with Vit A + E cream because it wouldn't dissolve plus it's a very unstable thing to work with, it would stop being effective in 24 hours plus another chemical in the cream may react with it and give unknown results. Hope that helps dear : )
daisynation 1 year ago
Would this recipe be safe and effective :
1 bsp jojoba oil, 1 drop (100%)vitamin Oil, 1 theespone vit C powder ?
Or has it to be distill water ( instead of jojoba oil.. maybe skin does not absorbe the oil..?)
I'm quiet sensitive skin..
Tx, wonderfull information !
2622Valerie1 1 year ago
@2622Valerie1 Hi there, in regards to your question about this Vit C treatment, yes is has to be Distilled Water. You can't use jojoba oil or vitamin oil. The form of water that you should use (Distilled) is also often called Deionized Water or Battery Top Up Water. Hope that resolves your issues, have a great week! : )

Daisy, TQ for the reply. :) I've tried it for a few days now. Too early to say how it is for me, but so far so good. I thought of mixing it with cocoa butter. Would it lose its potency that way?
sultanahullera 1 year ago
@sultanahullera I wouldn't mix cocoa butter into the vit c/water mixture, no, but you could always apply cocoa butter after application as a moisturiser. HTH! : )
daisynation 1 year ago
also can you apply vit c everyday or would that be too much for the face?
nature08 1 year ago
@nature08 Yes I frequently leave it on overnight under my moisturiser, it allows it to work even harder. I would say though to use an old pillowcase when you use this because the vit c will turn it orangey brown as it reacts with oxygen. You could use this everyday but it's best to leave it to at least every other day as this gives your skin chance to regenerate and won't be too harsh, you could weaken the solution though (put less vit c in) ; )
daisynation 1 year ago
can you leave the vit c on the whole night or do you have to wash it off after 25 mins?

@nature08 Yes I often leave it on overnight under my moistruiser, it's more effective that way : )

Well done you for going bare faced too, I for one certainly appreciate it. Brilliant video. I bought a pure vit e oil for when I do my at home vit c serum but it's reaaaally gloopy.

Great job!

So I shouldn't put the mixture on any of my spots then?
WitYeOan 1 year ago
@WitYeOan No,no,no! Stay away from those inflamed, broken areas.
daisynation 1 year ago
I meant to ask you put in the description box ; "I do this at my own risk" what exactly are the risks? Is there any really bad after effects that can occur?
WitYeOan 1 year ago
@WitYeOan Well, you are putting an acid on your skin. Acid can burn your skin. The levels I use here are weak, low levels of the acid so unlikely to cause major harm on normal healthy skin. Used in larger quantities you can imagine you will be in trouble. If you have sensitive, broken, blemished, reactive skin you may well experience after effects - irritation, redness, itching, raw patches, scarring etc.
daisynation 1 year ago
hey daisy
have you tried adding glycolic acid yet?
how does it work in conjunction with vitamin c?
iluvpenguins007 1 year ago
@iluvpenguins007 I haven't tried it myself yet but you can combine it with Glycolic Acid. Glycolic Acid is an AHA, a chemical exfoliant that will work with the Vit C to remove dead skin cells. It's also helps lock in moisture.
daisynation 1 year ago
Can I use de-ionised water? I looked at the battery top up water and it says that it's de-ionised.
WitYeOan 1 year ago
@WitYeOan I guess it's de-ionised then, I had a feeling I may have had that wrong. I'll put an annotation in the video. Thanks.

farhananilam 1 year ago
@farhananilam I'm sorry you're suffering so badly with your skin. I would recommend this Vitamin c treatment combined with a product with Salycylic Acid. A lot of Anti-Blemish skin products have Sal Acid in them. There is a good toner from Clean and Clear, it works great at generating new skin and clearing out the pores. It dissolves the gunk that is plugged in your pores causing spots and brings new skin cells to the surface, helping any scarring. Olay Anti-aging toner is a mild SA toner.

@Catalina031 Not really, but I would like to experiment with them. Can you recommend any? Daisy xoxo
daisynation 1 year ago
@daisynation I have used Atralin, Retin-A Mico, generic Retin-A and Renova. Renova is the one in a cream based vehicle & supposed to be less drying-I did not find any difference between gel & cream base. I am currently using Atralin 0.05% and there is a lower dose one 0.025%. I lean toward tretinoin use as it is the only anti-aging product with much real science behind it & that does impact the epidermal layer of the skin. xoxo jan
Catalina031 1 year ago
@Catalina031 Thanks - is the Atralin a tretinoin then? If so I will try and get it but the UK has strict rules on retinoids. It's difficult to get proper retinoids to my knowledge.

@daisynation Atralin is indeed a tretinoin. I have an online place to purchase that requires no prescription and to my knowledge will ship anywhere. Allergan has been trying to prohibit them from selling the generic Latisse and the tretinoin but so far they are winning the war :) I will pm you the link and info if you would like.
