Looking forward to the Midi update of this show. All the goings on in midi right now makes DVS seem like watching hee haw with your grandma. There's even an all midi DJ comp in the works.
I thought DJ mag was impartial, but dam i'm wrong, you should call this episode pioneer mag, cause Pioneer was one of many to develop digital scratch tables, Denon however was first with a direct drive turntable, but no mention of that eeyy, no it more important with traktor or serato *lol* which is pure SHIET compared to REAL cdjs (Pioneer) or DNS (Denon) and i know cause i used it, soundcard for traktor is top noth, serato sux, but without decks your no dj!, simple as that.
Serato and Traktor are far superior in terms of accuracy and realism for scratching than the CDJ or Denon decks; they're at least as accurate, but much or realistic and feature-full for vinyl usability.
yes i also think that the M-Audio torq is MUCH better value for money, and is easier to use. But then again it isnt vinyl so you cant really compare. But it is still more useful for beginners.
Not watched this video fully yet. But I bet it doesn't mention a really digital way to emulate scratches by using a Zoom multi effects pedal and scrolling through distortion settings at high speed.
in the official cdj-800 demo produced by pioneer, the demonstrator did the exact same thing to prove how well engineered the unit was that you could pick up and move it around and it would still keep playing.

first off u dumb bitch, have u ever tried it it? no exactly dumb fucker, my friend tried it and when he ejected the cd it was all scratched up. Next time shut the fuck up dumb ass cunt
why does everyone want Torq? He cant talk about everything, and the M-Audio hardware looks like shit. Its like if you had you decks on the ceiling and you mixer on the floor.
Why because Torq is superior to many products they mentioned in the video. Especially for scratching. If you knew anything about the product you wouldn't be so ignorant. I'll rip it up on Torq for half the price of Serato and you can do more then load a track in to a deck. Talk about lack of features per $. It may not be as flashy but it has current potential to overtake as being the standard.
They did a recent video 'DJmag Tech' that shows all of the newest tech stuff that is out. If you watch it you'll see that M-audio's Xponent scores highly. Guess which program it uses... oh thats right Torq ! Enjoy
I did the same a few weeks back and eventually plumped for Traktor Scratch because the Sound Card was of such high quality and can be used for production in Ableton etc. I've tried them all and I really think it's the best! :)
This presenter is creepy!..so is Tom Middleton.
