It's great that the Netherlands has this friendly competition every year. It is a simple way to reward cities for investing in cycling, and I think it would be great to have similar competitions elsewhere in the world.

I still have a deep wish that they would also make the city center of Amsterdam car-free. At least the most inner canals and Dam square area.
