Looks great. My period is ancient Rome but this looks very interesting. One my relatives fought at El Alamein for the Italian folgore and that's what got me interested in ww2.
Unfortunately axis re-enactors get a lot of stick because of the war and what the Nazis did etc. but I do think that it's important to consider history from both sides in order to appreciate it, and also to remember that not all men of the axis were sadistic murderers, just soldiers.
@spazoid86 You maybe already got this answered but here a tip! Just search on the internet for what kinda reenactment you are looking for in your state/community and WOLA! That's how I found my group and now Im having a blast of fun!

It's based on a trust system, so yes, common sense, I guess. If you see some chappie spray you down with submachine gun from a couple metres away, then you go down, etc.
So are you telling me that the Gettysburg and Revolutionary war reenactor's are just "playing war?" Because they are the same as what these fine men are doing just different generations. So stop being ignorant, and if you think its "dumb" why do watch these videos?
RECRUITING! The 83RD Armored Recon Battalion (3RD AD) from the Kingston MA area is seeking individuals for our ranks. Outstanding allied unit, great people and lots of fun! Message me for more info!
I was reading a book about when delta force first formed. One guy who was training for the first group of people through delta force was sent into the rubble of berlin with a panzerfaust and a uniform that was too big. His orders were to kill a soviet tank. He escape two soviet prison camps and eventually settled down in america after the war. He was only 16.
@Mrobeson - In WWII, with Nazi Germany being so soundly defeated, towards the end of the war they pressed just about anyone who could hold a gun into service, including young teenage boys, old men of 60 years old, etc.
hey i'm filipino american and i did a couple of reenactments. i was 25th inf. in Georgia *USA* and they didnt mind at all. i also played once as a german..never see a tan german before eh? :P
@wigglesdabum - America fought and won a two front war in WWII and was the main supplier of munitions and supplies for the Allies. WWII couldn't have been won without the pivotal contributions of America.
this looks fun but if u cant actually get hit then wouldnt that lead to problems like someone just saying ' no i dont think that hit me ' and then carrying on?
This is friggin awesome. I've got a uniform together of the Deutscher Volksmark and am about to purchase a K98, how would a join this unit or one like it?
looks good, but everyone is acting as an individual...just shooting their weapons....An FJ unit was highly skilled at tactical maneuvers...it would have been nice to see them with an mg42 tearing away and a quick flanking man. and this battle would have been over mach schnell

What is the point of war reenactments and do you ever notice that the people who participate in them never saw combat. The only thing more foolish than a war reenactment is the actual war itself
You can call it the Stg44, since it was the Sturmgewehr 44 (pardon my spelling if that's wrong). However, since it was seen at first as an upgrade of the Mp40, it was also called the Mp44. Either ought to be correct.

airsoft reenacting is good but blanks are better because they don't make a gay sound like electric airsoft guns and also you get the muzzle flash :D
JessesWarMovies 1 year ago
how come u guy dont usee airsoft guns???
fxcat123 2 years ago
because that would be gay, also this is much better
tatetalk 2 years ago 3
lie airsoft reenacting is a lot of fun
Berno10011001 2 years ago
@fxcat123
There is 2 types of reenactors.
1) Who use blanks
2) Who use airsoft guns.
Each have their differences
Kaos7125 2 years ago
for world war 2 airsoft would not work. MOST of the battles fought are to far in range for airsoft guns to go. So they use blanks
punkinglad13 2 years ago
@fxcat123
because they cost too much and its gay...
KlausGunther 2 years ago
@fxcat123 - No one needs paint splatters all over an expensive uniform, that's why.

could be any war or even a police shootout but I live near Kingston so hit me up the nnext time you want to play guns
twinkie116 2 years ago
how do you decide when you get hit? is it like just common sense and you know it would have got you? or is it pre planned?
marleynrs8 2 years ago
i think they use, what the cops use in live shooter training ("paint bullets" or training rounds)
tatetalk 2 years ago
im not sure though, they sound like blanks.
marleynrs8 2 years ago
@marleynrs8 unless its planned usually its just if a barrel is pointed at u and u see a flash ur dead
