  • erm, first of all, if it's Scottish it's whisky not whiskey and a glen is a valley, not a river! Starting to doubt if his accent is genuine!

  • he is showin an irish j ass holes, glen glen till

  • I didn't know they spelt Glenn Levet "Jameson" in Scotland. You learn something every day. Thanks @expertvillage.

  • Oh, goody, another nightmare wall of text from "expert" village.

  • Like the word whisky itself, many denominations used in the whisky world come from Gaelic. Glen is one of them and means 'valley' in Gaelic. Glenfiddich means the valley of the Deer. Similarly, Glenlivet, which is the whisky he refers to, means the valley of the river Livet, and livet actually meaning 'smooth flowing'.

  • He's pretty crap really. Yehr he knows a lot but is a dreadfuk presenter, plus his videos are badly made and poorly researched. I mean nearly everyone has some major errors. C'mon dudes...plz be more educational in your presentations.

  • Mmm, Ardbeg...

  • One of the biggest whisky taster in HUN!!

    U rock Pat! :)

  • Kinda funny how he botched that video by showing the wrong bottle. He doesn't look at the front label before picking it up, and therefore picked up a bottle of Jameson instead of Glenlivet. From behind the two bottles looks about the same, so I guess he can be excused.

  • Wrong. Watch his mouth as he holds the Jameson bottle. It's not moving. The mistake was made by the editor.

  • You're right. I like this guy but the editing is terrible.

  • Yeah, after the close up you can tell that he IS holding a Glenlivet bottle.

  • Yeah, the editors clearly screwed this one up

  • @sirstickjcs who cares about the editing, he's explaining scotch label. sheesh how critical

  • yeah fresh mountain water is used from the whiskys in speyside to water the whisky down from about 60% to about 40% the number of years aged and the water used has a big impact on the flavour.

Im have one bottle of scotch at a time, to find my favorite, and im on glenlivet at the moment, the label says the glenlivet, which would mean the vally river livet. like naming a drink after jack daniels, this is named after a river, and the water used from that river.

  • He shows an Irish whisky and tells you that the water comes from Scotia? Oo The watersource is one of the most deciding things for the taste!
