Did Mineral King to Whitney in July 2010 in 5 days. Awesome trip my buddy & I hauled 75 lb pks ea. cuz there were only 2 of us. I suggest goin w a larger group to lighten the packs. Dont get lost just south of Kern Hot Springs, trail continues west across stream - high waters during this time of year. Lost 2 hours there cuz trail seemed to continue NE but led nowhere. Kickbk at junction meadow and say hello to ranger at crabtree meadow if u choose to. Happy trails
