A Friend Pass is a battle pass acquired from someone online. You can't use it online, so its mainly used to shw other people what you've done with your Pokémon. Both players have to agree to show their Pokémon for Friend Passes to get exchanged.

It's not normally a good idea to do both physical and special attacks on Dragonite. You're better off going only physical or only special.

They're all EV-trained, but Speed is the only stat I ever actually IV-breed.

The game doesn't record any win-loss records. people disconnect when they lose simply because they don't want to see themselves losing. It's sheer cowardice.

It depends on the situation...and what Pokémon you're using.

I believe Taunt is for speedier, possibly more fragile pokes. Something like Crobat can use it well. Though Crobat isn't all that fragile.

What I don't understand is why you didn't breed Psychic on to Golduck.

Ice Beam and Hydro Pumpa re both valuable, and who knows when I'll make use of Psych Up. It'll be a killer move on certain occasions, but I've yet to run into these occasions.

Hmm... Well, in double battles you could get a Pokémon with Nasty Plot, have it use it then copy since it looks like very few of your opponents use stat raising moves.

The original plan was to use Psych Up on Celebi's Calm Mind, but Celebi turns out to have a big target mark on its head--everyone immediately goes after Celebi before it has a chance to do anything.

That sucks. D: It's because it's considered an uber. I honestly don't consider it or Jirachi ubers... When those 2 are sent out, people automatically go for them assuming they're super powerful.

Celebi is NOT an Uber. It never was and will never be one. People just think they're a lot more powerful than they really are.

I was going to say you should have used Ice Beam instead of Hydro Pump on Groudon, as there's the lower accuracy and the fact that it's power is halved during Sunny Day, but Groundon went down anyway.

I highly doubt Ice Beam would have taken down Groudon. Thats why I always use Hydro Pump against Groudon. I've seen them survive Plusle's Grass Knots, so I won't take any chances...except that 6.5% chance of Hydro Pump missing.

I'd say it was a wise surrender on the opponent's part. Kaity was facing a clear type advantage. Giratina would've been taken down by Ice Beam, and Blaziken would've met the same fate from Hydro Pump.

I was planning on using Sableye's Shadow Claw to damage Giratina, but in the end, it probably would have gone down to an Ice Beam anyway.

Must be nice to have several teams. I only have 1 at the moment (well with a strategy behind it) and 5 new ones in the making. Also surrendering when there is no hope of victory has some form of dignity to it.

Although this was a short battle, "Kaity's" surrender was quite graceful and dignified (as you put it). A formal surrender and successful pass exchange - she's definitely a good sport about it. Always nice to see =)

Yep, a disconnect is comparable to running away screaming, at least to me. A surrender shows you can stand seeing yourself lose.

Groudon's Drought makes it sunny, and makes Solar Beam not needing to charge up. That might've played a big role in the battle.

Golduck, seeing how it knocked Groudon out in one hit, has the Cloud Nine ability, which negated the Drought ability that Groudon had. It wouldn't have worked.

Then his High attack stat plus a STAB Earthquake and chances of using Swords Dance would do more than a Solarbeam would. When you can have a max of 438 ATT, you would take advantage of that.
