@Sunshyne276 no because rirs are heritage and are more dual purpose and not bred for only egg production but the leghorn is pureely for eggs although you probably could get a little meat off them...

It depends on where you live. If you're in the USA, pretty much every major hatchery has them-- McMurray, Ideal, Cackle, etc. Plus local feed stores or swap meets may have them. RIRs get to be very big and lay good eggs.

Depends on the breed, but generally most breeds will figure out what goes where after a year.

You can buy them at pacifica agrivet for 75 Pesos per chick... They're sold under the name Cobber or Kabir chick... :-)
