Considering all the movement and other things that go on before and during a live show, anything that is similar to the record is good in my opinion. In a studio you stay in one spot and can put 100% concentration onto your sound, in a live show you cannot.
I saw them in November, and they were amazing. Sometimes even the best live bands can suck at times live, when on tour your voice goes to hell. Buddy is also a wild and crazy performer, he's not all about trying to sound perfect live. His energy is amazing.
Also take into consideration that this was recorded from TV.
i think his voice sounds fine and almost album quality for most of the song excluding a few words here and there. ialmost never hear any bands perform hardcore and hit high notes like on the album version. it just doesnt work like that

Exactly. Seeing a band play that just stand and sing is boring. Hawthorne Heights is an example. I saw them in Pomona, CA. I was pretty bummed they didn't move around. But out of all the bands I've seen live, Senses Fail moves the crowd the most and Buddy is always into it. He just feeds off his emotions onstage and I love it. Sure, SF doesn't sound all that great live but all three times I've seen them, I haven't been disappointed one bit.
i watched fall out boy perform once on mtv and they were playing dance dance i believe. they are terrible live. they just stood there. i couldnt take it so i flipped the channel. Senses Fails albums are amazing even tho live it sounds different. the voice is almost NEVER as good as an album.
One of the few times Id heard a good live video of them. But you can tell the difference from Let it Enfold You songs live, and Live songs from their newer album. Its huge. I like their newer stuff better.

Senses fail's first CD was the most epic album ever but the last two were pretty weak...but I dont know if its the lead singers fault why this performance sucks... that microphone sucks..he had to sing louder than usually because the mic was turned down too low...it just seems like hes yelling to be louder then the guitars and drums.

Wow the bass player played a whole bunch of bum notes at the start. Haha. I like this band...it's a shame i have not seen one great performance from them.
Tip one...don't jump around if you can't hit notes while doing so.

this band is great, they're amazing live, and amazing in studio, so what if he missed a few notes?

This is a pretty good live show compared to what some bands do. Stop being fucking stupid, so he didn't hit a few notes, ok...
Considering all the movement and other things that go on before and during a live show, anything that is similar to the record is good in my opinion. In a studio you stay in one spot and can put 100% concentration onto your sound, in a live show you cannot.

Stop hating on this.
I saw them in November, and they were amazing. Sometimes even the best live bands can suck at times live, when on tour your voice goes to hell. Buddy is also a wild and crazy performer, he's not all about trying to sound perfect live. His energy is amazing.
Also take into consideration that this was recorded from TV.

i think his voice sounds fine and almost album quality for most of the song excluding a few words here and there. ialmost never hear any bands perform hardcore and hit high notes like on the album version. it just doesnt work like that

i think his vocals are pretty decent live..id rather see a band whos singer moves around and gets into it and has half decent vocals then a band who just stands there

They were good live at the start of his career with senses fail, but they've gotten worse because he smokes and drinks too much.
it's a shame, but his recorded stuff and new cd is fuckin amazing, so i'm not bothered =]

Exactly. Seeing a band play that just stand and sing is boring. Hawthorne Heights is an example. I saw them in Pomona, CA. I was pretty bummed they didn't move around. But out of all the bands I've seen live, Senses Fail moves the crowd the most and Buddy is always into it. He just feeds off his emotions onstage and I love it. Sure, SF doesn't sound all that great live but all three times I've seen them, I haven't been disappointed one bit.

i watched fall out boy perform once on mtv and they were playing dance dance i believe. they are terrible live. they just stood there. i couldnt take it so i flipped the channel. Senses Fails albums are amazing even tho live it sounds different. the voice is almost NEVER as good as an album.

One of the few times Id heard a good live video of them. But you can tell the difference from Let it Enfold You songs live, and Live songs from their newer album. Its huge. I like their newer stuff better.

i actually think this is one of buddys best vocal performance..everybody is too hard on him...who gives a fuck if you sing good or bad..its about the songs and the music they make and how those songs inspire people..like they inspire me....by the way senses fail is really more of a studio band than a live on but i like em live too

Okay, there is a difference in singing by yourself in a studio, and singing in front of hundred of people.
You also have to put in to consideration, that they've been touring, and how that puts a strain on their voice.
I'm not saying Senses Fail's live performances are perfect, or ever will be, I'm saying, it's tough to reenact what they produce on a studio album.

idk what all the arguing is for. i think he sounds GREAT! i mean i know he's not like a textbook good singer but i LOVE the way his voice sounds and it doesn't sound a whole lot different between him live and him in the studio. i think this sounded awesome!

Senses fail's first CD was the most epic album ever but the last two were pretty weak...but I dont know if its the lead singers fault why this performance sucks... that microphone sucks..he had to sing louder than usually because the mic was turned down too low...it just seems like hes yelling to be louder then the guitars and drums.
